It is shown that the NMR reciprocity theorem is a variant of a problem considered by Lorentz in 1895. This formulation is quite general and applies to electric-dipole-based as well as coil-based or resonator-based magnetic resonance probes. The reasoning is related to, but different from, the proof of the reciprocity theorem for radiofrequency networks and for transmit/receive antenna systems in telecommunications. The signal-to-noise ratio of the NMR experiment is also discussed in very general terms.  相似文献

Colloidal iron oxides play an important role as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) contrast agents. The superparamagnetic particles actually used are constituted by solid cores (diameter of 5-15 nm), generally coated by a thick polysaccharidic layer (hydrodynamic radii of 30-100 nm), and formulated by direct coprecipitation of iron salts in the presence of polymeric material. To better control the synthesis, we attempted to formulate new stable uncoated superparamagnetic nanoparticles. Colloids were generated by coprecipitation of an aqueous solution of iron salts and tetramethylammonium hydroxide (TMAOH) solution. The influence of parameters such as media composition, iron media, injection fluxes, Fe and TMAOH concentrations, temperature, and oxygen on size, magnetic and magnetic resonance relaxometric properties, and colloidal stability of particles were evaluated. We have determined the relative importance of these parameters as well as the optimal conditions for obtaining uncoated stable particles with an average size of 5 nm and interesting relaxivities. The interpretation of the observed limits takes into account diffusibilities of reactants and product, feeding rates of reactants, and surface properties of nanoparticles. The effect of the v-erbA and/or v-erbB oncogenes on cellular gene expression was investigated after separation by two-dimensional polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis of [35S]methionine-labelled proteins from chicken embryo fibroblasts (CEF), infected by either the avian erythroblastosis virus (AEV) carrying both oncogenes, or by viruses carrying only one of them. We observed significant changes in the synthesis of 34 proteins in AEV-transformed CEF as compared with control cells. The synthesis of 24 of them was increased while the synthesis of the other 10 proteins was decreased. The expression of v-erbB alone is necessary and sufficient to induce changes in the synthesis of 27 proteins while the 7 remaining modifications are observed only in cells expressing v-erbB together with v-erbA. Moreover, the deregulation of protein synthesis by v-erbB-expressing viruses was correlated with the morphological transformation state of cells.  相似文献
