We report improved syntheses of the Pennsylvania Green and 4-carboxy-Pennsylvania Green fluorophores; the latter compound was prepared from methyl 4-iodo-3-methylbenzoate in a three-pot process (32% overall yield). Chinese hamster ovary cells expressing O6-alkylguanine-DNA alkyltransferase fusion proteins were treated with Pennsylvania Green and Oregon Green linked to O6-benzylguanine (SNAP-Tag substrates). Analysis of living cells by confocal microscopy revealed that Pennsylvania Green derivatives exhibit substantially higher cell permeability than analogous Oregon Green-derived molecular probes. 相似文献

Lukács and András posed the problem of showing the existence of a set of n−2 points in the interior of a convex n-gon so that the interior of every triangle determined by three vertices of the polygon contains a unique point of S. Such sets have been called pebble sets by De Loera, Peterson, and Su. We seek to characterize all such sets for any given convex polygon in the plane.
We first consider a certain class of pebble sets, called peripheral because they consist of points that lie close to the boundary
of the polygon. We characterize all peripheral pebble sets, and show that for regular polygons, these are the only ones. Though
we demonstrate examples of polygons where there are other pebble sets, we nevertheless provide a characterization of the kinds

We present resonant inelastic x-ray scattering and x-ray emission spectroscopy results on Gd metal to 113 GPa which suggest Kondo-like aspects in the delocalization of 4f electrons. Analysis of the resonant inelastic x-ray scattering data reveals a prolonged and continuous delocalization with volume throughout the entire pressure range, so that the volume-collapse transition at 59 GPa is only part of the phenomenon. Moreover, the Lgamma1 x-ray emission spectroscopy spectra indicate no apparent change in the bare 4f moment across the collapse, suggesting that Kondo screening is responsible for the expected Pauli-like behavior in magnetic susceptibility. 相似文献
