The reversed-phase high-performance liquid Chromatographic (RP-HPLC) behaviour of the binary chelates of V(V) and V(IV) with 4-(2-pyridylazo) resorcinol (PAR) and ternary chelates of vanadium with PAR and auxiliary ligands: hydrogen peroxide, hydroxylamine, tartrate and citrate were studied using a C18 column. The complex double-peak chromatograms of V(IV)/V(V)-PAR systems were studied and the origin of each peak was proved. Vanadium in ternary systems with PAR and hydrogen peroxide was found exclusively in V(V)-H2O2-PAR complex (single peak on the chromatogram) despite its initial oxidation state. The double role of hydroxylamine (complex agent and reductor) in vanadium systems with PAR was confirmed: in the V(V) system three species were identified (V(V)-PAR, V(V)-NH2OH-PAR and V(IV)-PAR), but in the V(IV) system only two: V(IV)-PAR and V(V)-NH2OH-PAR. Citrate and tartrate giving single peak were found as auxiliary ligands in ternary V(V) systems of analytical importance. Due to its masking potential towards iron (III) ions, citrate was chosen as the most suitable third component of a ternary vanadium system with PAR, to form the basis of an RP-HPLC method for direct determination of V in steel.  相似文献

Heat capacity of single-crystal samples of five chalcogenides (LiInS2, LiInSe2, LiGaS2, LiGaSe2, and LiGaTe2) was measured with DSC in a temperature range from 180 to 460 K. The data for LiInS2 and LiInSe2 were compared with the literature data and shown to agree with the results of adiabatic calorimetry (Gmelin and Hönle in Thermochimica Acta 269: 575–590, 1995) better than with other DSC data (Kühn et al. in Cryst Res Technol 22: 265–269, 1987). Besides, the high-temperature fitting polynomial for C P(T) published about 30 years ago for LiInS2 is wrong. LiGaS2, LiGaSe2, and LiGaTe2 were measured for the first time.  相似文献

In this work, the structure and thermal properties of aluminosilicate fritted glazes in SiO2–Al2O3–CaO–MgO–Na2O–K2O–ZnO system with (4.0 mol%) and without addition of ZnO were examined by GIXRD, FTIR, MAS-NMR and thermal methods (DTA, DIL). It has been found that the all experimental glazes are amorphous material (transparent glazes). On the base of spectroscopic investigations, it was found that zinc ions exist in the network glazes in the octahedral coordination—Zn2+ ions play a network modifier role in structure of glazes. An analysis of the data obtained from thermal tests showed that addition of ZnO into chemical composition results in decrease in glass transition temperature value (T g) for all glazes (DTA, DIL). The coefficient of thermal expansion (α) is decreased as the whole measurement range for one series of fritted glazes.  相似文献

Using one-step method, rigid polyurethane foams were made, modified with developed fire retardant systems containing halogen-free flame retardants and nanofillers in the form of multi-walled carbon nanotubes or nanoscale titanium dioxide. The materials were subjected to a test using a cone calorimeter and smoke-generating chamber, and selected samples were further analyzed via thermogravimetry and oxygen index. Moreover, the products of thermal degradation of selected samples were identified using gas chromatography with mass spectrometer. Conducted flammability tests confirmed the presence of a synergistic effect between the used nanofillers and halogen-free flame retardants. It has been observed that the carbonized layer, the formation of which favored the presence of nanoadditives, inhibits the combustion process. Furthermore, nanofillers influenced favorably reduction in the amount and the number of occurring products of thermal degradation.  相似文献

Recently a great interest in the field of protein engineering and the design of innovative drug delivery systems employing specific ligands such as cyclodextrins is observed. The paper reports the solid state, thermal method for protein coupling with β-cyclodextrin and the physicochemical and biological properties of the obtained conjugates. The structure of the obtained conjugates was investigated via liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry, dynamic light scattering and circular dichroism analysis. The presented conjugates were biologically active and covalently bound β-cyclodextrin preserved the ability to form inclusion complexes with the model compound. This report demonstrates the great potential of cyclodextrin as a modifying unit that can be used to modulate the properties of therapeutic proteins, additionally giving such conjugates the possibility to transport many therapeutic substances in the form of inclusion complexes. In addition, the paper presents the potential of protein-cyclodextrin conjugates to construct innovative bioactive molecules for biological and medical applications.  相似文献

Dental calculus analysis can be a valuable source of archaeological knowledge, since it preserves not only microbial and host biomolecules but also dietary and environmental debris, as well as metabolic products likely originating from dietary and craft activities. Here we described GC-MS analysis of a set of historic dental calculus samples from the front teeth of the mandibles of seven individuals found in 17th- and 18th-century graves in the city of Rzeszow, located in South-eastern Poland. We have found that only saturated fatty acids, which are characteristic for fats of animal origin, were present in the tested samples. Our preliminary results indicate that the diet of modern-period inhabitants of Rzeszow was rich in animal products, such as meat and dairy products.  相似文献

Brain functions rely on neurotransmitters that mediate communication between billions of neurons. Disruption of this communication can result in a plethora of psychiatric and neurological disorders. In this work, we combine molecular dynamics simulations, live-cell biosensor and electrophysiological assays to investigate the action of the neurotransmitter dopamine at the dopaminergic D2 receptor (D2R). The study of dopamine and closely related chemical probes reveals how neurotransmitter binding translates into the activation of distinct subsets of D2R effectors (i.e.: Gi2, GoB, Gz and β-arrestin 2). Ligand interactions with key residues in TM5 (S5.42) and TM6 (H6.55) in the D2R binding pocket yield a dopamine-like coupling signature, whereas exclusive TM5 interaction is typically linked to preferential G protein coupling (in particular GoB) over β-arrestin. Further experiments for serotonin receptors indicate that the reported molecular mechanism is shared by other monoaminergic neurotransmitter receptors. Ultimately, our study highlights how sequence variation in position 6.55 is used by nature to fine-tune β-arrestin recruitment and in turn receptor signaling and internalization of neurotransmitter receptors.

Neurotransmitter contacts within the receptor binding site differentially contribute to the overall functional response: transmembrane helix (TM) 5 contacts promote G protein coupling whereas concerted TM5–TM6 contacts enhance β-arrestin recruitment.  相似文献

Chondrocalcinosis is a metabolic disease caused by the presence of calcium pyrophosphate dihydrate crystals in the synovial fluid. The goal of our endeavor was to find out whether short peptides could be used as a dissolving factor for such crystals. In order to identify peptides able to dissolve crystals of calcium pyrophosphate, we screened through a random library of peptides using a phage display. The first screening was designed to select phages able to bind the acidic part of alendronic acid (pyrophosphate analog). The second was a catalytic assay in the presence of crystals. The best-performing peptides were subsequently chemically synthesized and rechecked for catalytic properties. One peptide, named R25, turned out to possess some hydrolytic activity toward crystals. Its catalysis is Mg2+-dependent and also works against soluble species of pyrophosphate.  相似文献

A Zr-based metal-organic framework has been synthesized and employed as a catalyst for photochemical carbon dioxide reduction coupled with water oxidation. The catalyst shows significant carbon dioxide reduction property with concomitant water oxidation. The catalyst has broad visible light as well as UV light absorption property, which is further confirmed from electronic absorption spectroscopy. Formic acid was the only reduced product from carbon dioxide with a turn-over frequency (TOF) of 0.69 h−1 in addition to oxygen, which was produced with a TOF of 0.54 h−1. No external photosensitizer is used and the ligand itself acts as the light harvester. The efficient and selective photochemical carbon dioxide reduction to formic acid with concomitant water oxidation using Zr-based MOF as catalyst is thus demonstrated here.  相似文献

Present work describes investigations of a two-step process consisting of galvanostatic anodising in a 1 M H2SO4 solution at 100 mA cm−2 up to the limiting voltages of 20, 60, 80, 100 and 120 V, directly after which potentiostatic regime was employed and the current was allowed to drop. The total treatment time (5 min) was held constant for all samples. The treatment was carried out to improve the corrosion resistance of zirconium in physiological conditions, which was determined by electrochemical evaluation in Ringer’s solution. XPS studies revealed that after anodising sulphur was incorporated into the oxide film in the form of sulphated zirconia. The maximum content of sulphate in the oxide layer was observed after anodising at 80 V. Anodising at higher voltages resulted in formation of coatings with decreasing amount of sulphur. It was found that there is a strong correlation between the sulphur content in the oxide layers and the measured corrosion current density. On the other hand, the pitting corrosion resistance seemed to be unaffected by the presence of S and it was improving with the increasing limiting voltage of the treatment.
