Acidic aluminium solutions (120 μl) are injected into a buffered (pH 5.7) carrier stream and merge with a chrome azurol S/cetylpyridinium chloride stream; a 2.25-m reaction coil is used with a total flow rate of 4 ml min ?1. Ethanol (30% v/v) in the reagent stream enhances the absorbance of the ternary complex; the molar absorptivity is then 1.34×10 5 l mol ?1 cm ?1 at 625 nm. Calibration is linear over the range 0–400 ng ml?1 aluminium; the limit of determination is 5 ng ml ?1. Iron is masked in the usual way; fluoride is tolerated at ˇ1 mg l ?1. The injection rate is about 45 h?1. The procedure appears to be applicable to tap water.  相似文献

ABSTRACT: BACKGROUND: The peri-adolescent period is a crucial developmental moment of transition from childhood to emergent adulthood. The present report analyses the differences in Power Spectrum (PS) of the Electroencephalogram (EEG) between late childhood (24 children between 8 and 13 years old) and young adulthood (24 young adults between 18 and 23 years old). RESULTS: The narrow band analysis of the Electroencephalogram was computed in the frequency range of 0--20 Hz. The analysis of mean and variance suggested that six frequency ranges presented a different rate of maturation at these ages, namely: low delta, delta-theta, low alpha, high alpha, low beta and high beta. For most of these bands the maturation seems to occur later in anterior sites than posterior sites. Correlational analysis showed a lower pattern of correlation between different frequencies in children than in young adults, suggesting a certain asynchrony in the maturation of different rhythms. The topographical analysis revealed similar topographies of the different rhythms in children and young adults. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) demonstrated the same internal structure for the Electroencephalogram of both age groups. Principal Component Analysis allowed to separate four subcomponents in the alpha range. All these subcomponents peaked at a lower frequency in children than in young adults. CONCLUSIONS: The present approaches complement and solve some of the incertitudes when the classical brain broad rhythm analysis is applied. Children have a higher absolute power than young adults for frequency ranges between 0-20 Hz, the correlation of Power Spectrum (PS) with age and the variance age comparison showed that there are six ranges of frequencies that can distinguish the level of EEG maturation in children and adults. The establishment of maturational order of different frequencies and its possible maturational interdependence would require a complete series including all the different ages.  相似文献

A mild and efficient procedure is described for the removal of the tert-butoxycarbonyl (BOC) group using boron trifluoride etherate and molecular sieves in dichloromethane at room temperature. Two unique systems based on low‐coordinate main group elements that activate P4 are shown to quantitatively release the phosphorus cage upon short exposure to UV light. This reactivity marks the first reversible reactivity of P4, and the germanium system can be cycled 5 times without appreciable loss in activity. Theoretical calculations reveal that the LUMO is antibonding with respect to the main group element–phosphorus bonds and bonding with respect to reforming the P4 tetrahedron, providing a rationale for this unprecedented activity, and suggesting that the process is tunable based on the substituents.  相似文献

It is known that the kinetics of redox reactions occurring on the surfaces of passive metals depend upon the properties of the passive film, ostensibly due to quantum mechanical tunnelling (QMT) of electrons and holes between the metal and the redox couple at the barrier layer/solution (bl/s) interface. In this paper, the tunnelling probability is used to inter-convert the exchange current densities for the redox reactions occurring at the bl/s interface and on the hypothetical bare metal surface. We review our previous work on combining QMT theory with the point defect model (PDM), which provides an analytical expression for the bl thickness as a function of voltage. By combining QMT theory and the PDM, we derive a modified form of the generalized Butler-Volmer equation that requires as input only the kinetic parameters for the redox reaction on the hypothetical bare surface and parameters contained in the PDM. The application of the theory is illustrated with reference to the corrosion of carbon steel in concrete pore solution, to calculating the corrosion potential of, and crack growth rate in, sensitized type 304 SS in boiling water reactor (BWR) coolant circuits, and the use of hydrogen oxidation on platinum to determine the thickness of the bl as a function of voltage and temperature. This illustrates a new, powerful technique for probing the formation of passive films on metal surfaces.
