/U atom. These moments coexist with superconductivity and have the highest values observed in an AF heavy-fermion superconductor. The absence of well-defined frequencies in zero-field
+ SR in the AF state of UPd2Al3 suggests symmetric

Muon spin rotation/relaxation measurements have been performed in the itinerant helical magnet MnSi at ambient pressure and at 8.3 kbar. We have found the following: (a) the spin-lattice relaxation rate 1/T(1) shows divergence as T1T proportional, variant (T-T(c))(beta) with the power beta larger than 1 near T(c); (b) 1/T(1) is strongly reduced in an applied external field B(L) and the divergent behavior near T(c) is completely suppressed at B(L)> or =4000 G. We discuss that (a) is consistent with the self-consistent renormalization theory and reflects a departure from "mean-field" behavior, while (b) indicates selective suppression of spin fluctuations of the q=0 component by B(L). 相似文献

Nuclear magnetic resonance measurements of the superconducting mixed-state field distribution in niobium metal are reported. It is demonstrated that pulsed NMR Fourier spectroscopy (defined in the text) can resolve considerable detail in the field distribution functionf(h). A simple analytic model forf(h) was used for numerical calculation of the expected spectrum shape. An ordered vortex lattice was always observed. Far from the transition the spectra were most consistent with triangular lattice symmetry. The temperature variation of the Maki parameter? 2 was measured. The shift of spectrum position is compatible with appreciable reduction of spin susceptibility in the superconducting state. 相似文献

A three-dimensional photoelastic stress analysis was conducted on six thick-walled closed-end cylinders subjected to internal-pressure loading. The cylinders were approximately similar in design to the breech chamber of a large-caliber tank weapon. Maximum octahedral shear stresses were determined in the side wall-end wall juncture of essentially flat-ended cylinders (similar to actual weapon component) and in hemispherically-ended cylinders. The purpose of the study was to learn more about the stresses in the closed end of the cylinder so that future components of this type may be designed more efficiently with regard to stress and weight. 相似文献

The electrophoretic mobility behavior of well-characterized polystyrene latex particles, carrying one type of surface functional endgroups, has been studied as a function of pH. At low pH, the interaction of protons with the functional endgroups increased in the order: Hydroxyl > carboxyl > sulfate; at high pH the order of interaction was reversed; and at intermediate pH no interactions were observed. The particles of the polystyrene latexes in their different forms at the intermediate pH range, dispersed in deionized water, all exhibited the same mobility irrespective of the functional endgroup. The origin of charge in these systems is explained as being the result of either the preferential adsorption of hydroxyl ions or an electron - injection mechanism due to the overlap of local intrinsic molecular - ion states in polystyrene and water. At low concentrations of functional endgroups, the surface properties of the polystyrene latexes are largely dependent upon the hydrophobic nature of the surface. 相似文献

We report on muon spin rotation studies of the noncentrosymmetric heavy fermion antiferromagnet CeRhSi3. A drastic and monotonic suppression of the internal fields, at the lowest measured temperature, was observed upon an increase of external pressure. Our data suggest that the ordered moments are gradually quenched with increasing pressure, in a manner different from the pressure dependence of the Néel temperature. At 23.6 kbar, the ordered magnetic moments are fully suppressed via a second-order phase transition, and T(N) is zero. Thus, we directly observed the quantum critical point at 23.6 kbar hidden inside the superconducting phase of CeRhSi3. 相似文献
