Enhanced affinochromism of polydiacetylene monolayer in response to bacteria by incorporating CdS nano-crystallites

By incorporating bio-specific receptors, such as p-10,12-pentacosadiyne-1-N-(3,6,9-trioxaundecylamide)-alpha-D-mannopyranoside (MPDA), into 10,12-pentacosadiyonic acid (PDA) monolayer, the MPDA/PDA monolayer underwent affinochromatic transition in response to the bacteria binding to the receptor. Here, we described a new method to study the membrane/macromolececular interaction between Escherichia coli (E. coli) and mannose and its relative affinochromism by modifying MPDA/PDA with CdS nano-crystallites (MPDA/PDA-CdS). CdS not only triggered the strong tropism of the bacteria but also reduced the rigidity of the MPDA/PDA backbone, resulting in the enhanced affinochromism. This discovery might be of significance in basic biophysical studies of membrane/macromolececular and designing novel biosensor.

大黄素的吸附溶出伏安研究

研究了大黄素在甲醇、二氧六环和水的混合溶剂中以１％硼砂为支持电解质在静汞电极上的吸附伏安行为。建立了用微分脉冲吸附溶出伏安法测定其含量的新方法。在－０３０Ｖ（ｖｓＡｇ／ＡｇＣｌ）电位下吸附富集，可得一灵敏的还原溶出峰，峰电位－０７５Ｖ，浓度在５×１０－８～５×１０－９ｍｏｌ／Ｌ范围内与峰电流具有良好的线性关系，最低检出限为１×１０－９ｍｏｌ／Ｌ。该法用于含有大黄素体系的测定简便、快速、可靠。

Experimental and modeling study on decomposition kinetics of methane hydrates in different media

The decomposition kinetic behaviors of methane hydrates formed in 5 cm3 porous wet activated carbon were studied experimentally in a closed system in the temperature range of 275.8-264.4 K. The decomposition rates of methane hydrates formed from 5 cm3 of pure free water and an aqueous solution of 650 g x m(-3) sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) were also measured for comparison. The decomposition rates of methane hydrates in seven different cases were compared. The results showed that the methane hydrates dissociate more rapidly in porous activated carbon than in free systems. A mathematical model was developed for describing the decomposition kinetic behavior of methane hydrates below ice point based on an ice-shielding mechanism in which a porous ice layer was assumed to be formed during the decomposition of hydrate, and the diffusion of methane molecules through it was assumed to be one of the control steps. The parameters of the model were determined by correlating the decomposition rate data, and the activation energies were further determined with respect to three different media. The model was found to well describe the decomposition kinetic behavior of methane hydrate in different media.     

Use of p-dimethylaminobenzalhyde as a colored reagent for determination of procaine hydrochloride by spectrophotometry

Spectrophotometric determination of procaine hydrochloride is described. The procaine hydrochloride reacts with p-dimethylaminobenzalhyde in glacial acetic acid to form an Schiff base which is a yellow compound, and its maximum absorption wavelength is at 455nm, ₄₅₅=3.46×10⁴. The absorbance for procaine hydrochloride from 0.2 to 15 μg ml⁻¹ obeys Beer's law. The linear regression equation of the calibration graph is C=5.866A−0.02, with a linear regression correlative coefficient is 0.9994 and relative standard deviation (RSD) of 1.7%; the detection limit is 0.1 μg ml⁻¹; recovery is from 92.0 to 110.0%. Effects of reaction medium, temperature, gentamycin, beneylpenicillin, kanamycin, streptomycin, foreign ions, and stand for time on the determination of procaine hydrochloride have been examined. The results obtained by this method agreed with those by the official method (dead-stop titration). This method is rapid and simple, and can be used for the determination of procaine hydrochloride in injection solution of procaine hydrochloride.     

三正辛胺(TOA)分离贵金属的系统研究 Ⅰ.反相萃取色层法分离七个贵金属

本文系统详细地研究了七种贵金属彼此分离以及与贱金属分离的可能条件。此种工作尚未见报道。用三正辛胺作固定相。分别用1mol/L HCl、6mol/LHCl、2mol/L HNO_3—2mol/L HCl、3mol/L HNO_3-2mol/L HCl、4mol/L HNO_3-2mo1/L HCl和5％硫脲-1mol/L HCl为淋洗液,可以将Rh、Ru、Pd、Pt、Ir、Os、Au分步淋洗下来,达到彼此完全分离。为了使Rh(Ⅱ)与贱金属分离,必须将RhC1_6~(3-)转化为RhBrb_6~(3-),然后在另一色层柱上使它与贱金属分离。合成矿样的分析结果符合分析要求。     

Total synthesis and cytotoxicity studies of a cyclic depsipeptide with proposed structure of palau'amide

[structure: see text] Total synthesis of a cyclic depsipeptide with proposed structure of palau'amide is achieved, which features a stereoselective elaboration of its 5,7-dihydroxy-2,6-dimethyldodec-2-en-11-ynoic acid unit. The synthetic compound has potent cytotoxicity against three tumor cell lines but different rotation and NMR data compared to those reported for palau'amide, which implies that its conformation is close to that of palau'amide but that some stereochemistry in palau'amide was misassigned.
