This paper presents the synthesis, MO calculations, and photochemical and photophysical properties of cis-[Ru(bpy)2(3Amdpy2oxaNBE)](PF6)2 (2), where bpy is 2,2'-bipyridine and 3Amdpy2oxaNBE is the novel 5,6-bis(3-amidopyridine)-7-oxanorbornene chelate-ligand (1). Complex 2 is considered in relation to the cis-[Ru(bpy)2(3Amnpy)2](PF6)2 (3) analogous complex, where 3Amnpy is 3-aminopyridine. Complexes 2 and 3 exhibit absorptions near 350 nm and in the 420-500 nm region attributable to a contribution from MLCT transitions (dpi-->bpy and dpi-->L; L=3Amdpy2oxaNBE or 3Amnpy). Whereas complex 3 is photochemically reactive, complex 2 shows luminescence either at 77 K or at room temperature in fluid solution. The emission of 2 assignable as an MLCT (Ru-->bpy) emission is characterized by a long lifetime at room temperature (650 ns in CH3CN and 509 ns in H2O). It is independent of lambdairr, but it is temperature dependent; i.e., it increases as the temperature is lowered. Considering the chelate ring of 1 contributes to the stability of the complex 2 under continuous light irradiation, the difference in the primary photoprocesses of 3 (loss of 3Amnpy) and 2 (luminescence) may be caused by a lowering of the lowest excited state from 3 to 2. The surface crossing to the lowest MC state value of 987 cm-1 (similar to that of [Ru(bpy)3]2+) will be prevented in the case of complex 2, and as a result, efficient 3Amdpy moiety loss cannot occur. The electronic depopulation of the {Ru(bpy)2} unit and population of a bpy* orbital upon excitation are evident by comparing the photophysical properties with those of a [Ru(bpy)3]2+ related complex. Moreover, a reduction of a bpy ligand in the MLCT excited state is indicated by time-resolved spectra that show features typical of bpy*-. The photocatalytic property of 2 is spectroscopically demonstrated by oxidative quenching using either methylviologen2+ or [RuCl(NH3)5]+2 electron-acceptor ions. 相似文献

The synthesis of various substituted bicyclic lactams by an acid-induced Pictet-Spengler reaction of tetrahydroindolinones bearing tethered heteroaromatic rings is presented. The outcome of the cyclization depends on the position of the furan tether, tether length, nature of the tethered heteroaromatic ring, and the substituent group present on the 5-position of the tethered heteroaryl group. A one-pot procedure was developed to efficiently prepare tetrahydroindolinones containing tethered furan rings. In a typical example, the reaction of furanyl azide 26 with n-Bu3P delivered iminophosphorane 27, which was allowed to react with a 1-alkyl-(2-oxocyclohexyl)acetic acid to provide the desired furanyl-substituted tetrahydroindolinone system 29. Treatment of 29 with trifluoroacetic acid afforded the tetracyclic lactam skeleton 30 found in the alkaloid (+/-)-selaginoidine. 相似文献

Films of Y-doped Bi-2212 were successfully grown on MgO (1 0 0) substrates by infrared pulsed laser deposition (IR-PLD). With post-heat treatments, smooth and highly c-axis oriented films were obtained. The average compositions of the films have the same stoichiometry as the target. Y content is also preserved on the grown films at all doping levels. The electrical properties of the grown Y-doped Bi-2212 films exhibit the expected electrical properties of the bulk Y-doped Bi-2212. This is attributed to the stoichiometric transfer of material by IR-PLD. 相似文献

We have observed unusual mass spectra of chloramphenicol (CAP) in solutions of methanol or acetonitrile showing intense ions at m/z 297, m/z 311, m/z 325 and m/z 339. The observed ions were different from those which are traditionally observed in the full scan ESI mass spectra of CAP with ions of m/z 321, m/z 323 and m/z 325. We have evidence to show that this process starts with offline methylation of CAP in solutions of methanol or acetonitrile to give m/z 339. Investigations using nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy showed that there is a methylene group somewhere within the CAP molecule but not attached to any of the carbon atoms when the CAP is dissolved in methanol or acetonitrile before infusion into the mass spectrometer. The possible locations of attachment were speculated to be the electronegative atoms apart from the chlorine atoms due to valence considerations. The methylene group is attached to the nitrogen atom and forms a bond as observed in the MS/MS spectra of m/z 297, m/z 311, m/z 325 and m/z 339 which give m/z 183 as the base peak in all cases. Further experiments showed that there is cleavage of the methylated CAP molecule followed by cluster ion formation involving addition of methylene groups to the CAP fragment with m/z 183 to produce ions of m/z including m/z 297, m/z 311, m/z 325 and m/z 339. This process occurs in the mass spectrometer in the region housing the tube lens and is triggered when the ions are accelerated through this region by application of a negative tube lens offset voltage. This region affords collision of the charged droplets with a collision gas in this case nitrogen to strip the droplets of their solvent molecules. Experiments to follow the intensities of m/z 183, m/z 311, m/z 321, m/z 323, m/z 325 and m/z 339 as the tube lens offset voltage was varied were done in which the intensities of m/z 311, m/z 325 and m/z 339 were observed to be at their peak when the tube lens offset voltage was set at -40 V. When the tube lens offset voltage is swung to +40 V, thus decelerating the ions through the capillary skimmer region via the tube lens, the traditionally observed spectra with m/z 321, m/z 323 and m/z 325 were observed. 相似文献

Phosphoric acid admixtured L-alanine (PLA) single crystals were grown successfully by solution method with slow evaporation technique at room temperature. Crystals of size 18 mm×12 mm×8 mm have been obtained in 28 days. The grown crystals were colorless and transparent. The solubility of the grown samples has been found out at various temperatures. The lattice parameters of the grown crystals were determined by X-ray diffraction technique. The reflection planes of the sample were confirmed by the powder X-ray diffraction study and diffraction peaks were indexed. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) studies were used to confirm the presence of various functional groups in the crystals. UV-visible transmittance spectrum was recorded to study the optical transparency of grown crystal. The nonlinear optical (NLO) property of the grown crystal was confirmed by Kurtz-Perry powder technique and a study of its second harmonic generation efficiency in comparison with potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KDP) has been made. The mechanical strength of the crystal was estimated by Vickers hardness test. The grown crystals were subjected to thermo gravimetric and differential thermal analysis (TG/DTA). A picosecond‐resolving hard‐X‐ray streak camera has been in operation for several years at Sector 7 of the Advanced Photon Source (APS). Several upgrades have been implemented over the past few years to optimize integration into the beamline, reduce the timing jitter, and improve the signal‐to‐noise ratio. These include the development of X‐ray optics for focusing the X‐rays into the sample and the entrance slit of the streak camera, and measures to minimize the amount of laser light needed to generate the deflection‐voltage ramp. For the latter, the photoconductive switch generating the deflection ramp was replaced with microwave power electronics. With these, the streak camera operates routinely at 88 MHz repetition rate, thus making it compatible with all of the APS fill patterns including use of all the X‐rays in the 324‐bunch mode. We describe the implementation and characterization of activated ion electron transfer dissociation (AI-ETD) on a hybrid QLT-Orbitrap mass spectrometer. AI-ETD was performed using a collision cell that was modified to enable ETD reactions, in addition to normal collisional activation. The instrument manifold was modified to enable irradiation of ions along the axis of this modified cell with IR photons from a CO2 laser. Laser power settings were optimized for both charge (z) and mass to charge (m/z) and the instrument control firmware was updated to allow for automated adjustments to the level of irradiation. This implementation of AI-ETD yielded 1.6-fold more unique identifications than ETD in an nLC-MS/MS analysis of tryptic yeast peptides. Furthermore, we investigated the application of AI-ETD on large scale analysis of phosphopeptides, where laser power aids ETD, but can produce b- and y-type ions because of the phosphoryl moiety’s high IR adsorption. nLC-MS/MS analysis of phosphopeptides derived from human embryonic stem cells using AI-ETD yielded 2.4-fold more unique identifications than ETD alone, demonstrating a promising advance in ETD sequencing of PTM containing peptides.
