We report a clear demonstration of thermal hysteresis and elastic anomaly in the elastic constant, CT, of a shape memory alloy Ni0.507Ti0.493. The observed hysteresis and anomaly closely match the experimental data from the structural phase transition, the resistivity and the thermoelectric power measurements previously reported. The elastic anomaly was explained using a theory based on the band Jahn‐Teller mechanism. The theory allows to predict the detailed nature of the structural transitions and also the symmetry of the Fermi levels.  相似文献

Photoluminescence (PL) of porous silicon (pSi) prepared from Czochralski silicon (Cz‐Si) annealed up to 1620 K at enhanced pressure of argon up to 1 GPa (HP‐HT treatment) was investigated. The intensity of PL with maximum at 680–720 nm decreases with the pressure for pSi prepared from the substrates treated at ≤ 1400 K, and increases with the pressure for pSi prepared from the substrates treated at 1620 K. The pSi films prepared from the HP‐HT treated substrates were relaxed, contrary to those on the substrates annealed at 1620 K for 30 min at 105 Pa. Although our results revealed that photoluminescence properties of pSi depend significantly on the presence of defects created during the oxygen precipitation process, the role of other defects such as non‐radiative recombination centres and metallic contamination should be still under consideration.  相似文献

The present work considers thermopower of oxide materials within n-p transition regime. Specifically, basic equations describing the effect of thermocell reactions on both ionic and electronic component of thermoelectric power are derived. The proposed formalism considers the impact of gas/solid reactions on the relationship between thermopower and electrochemical potential within a system involving a metal oxide of nonstoichiometric composition and a metal (such as Pt) that is applied as a measuring electrode. The derived theoretical model allows the determination of the thermopower components corresponding to different charge carriers, including ions, electrons and electron holes, for metal oxides. The proposed model may be used for derivation of defect chemistry models based on thermopower data that are free of the ionic component.  相似文献

An analytical method was developed for determination of valsartan in commercial drug and sewage sludge samples by HPLC–UV using a single wavelength (250 nm). The effect of different environmental storage conditions on the stability of valsartan was examined for a period of 85 days, after which no degradation was observed. The post oral administration stability of the valsartan was also investigated by testing valsartan under simulated gastric conditions. Results obtained showed that the structure of valsartan was conserved over 3.5-h period. The calibration plot of the study was linear over a wide concentration range with a correlation coefficient of 0.9999. The limit of detection and limit of quantitation were found to be 0.014 and 0.046 µ g mL?1, respectively. The percentage recovery of valsartan from sewage sludge was found to be 99.8%.  相似文献

This paper reports electrical properties of CoO thin films of different thickness in the range 0.375 – 7.95 μm. Both electrical conductivity and thermopower were measured at elevated temperatures (1223 – 1423 K) and under controlled oxygen partial pressure (5 − 2.1x104 Pa). It was found that at low p(O2) the electrical conductivity decreases with film thickness. The activation energy of the electrical conductivity (Ea) in air decreases with the oxide thickness from 0.56 eV at 0.375 μm to 0.52 eV for massive CoO while at low p(O2)=5 Pa the Ea is independent of the thickness (Ea = 0.46 eV). The reciprocal of the p(O2) exponent of the electrical conductivity (nδ) in the range 1223 K – 1373 K is close to four for the 7,95 μm film and is about 3.5–3.7 for the 0.375 μm film. The electrical properties of the CoO thin films are considered assuming different defect structures in the bulk phase and the surface layer.  相似文献

We suggest a geometrical model for the distribution of luminous matter in the Universe, where the apparent dimension, D(l), increases linearly with the logarithm of the scale l. Beyond the correlation length, xi, the Universe is homogeneous, and D = 3. Comparison with data from the SARS redshift catalog, and the LEDA database provides a good fit with a correlation length xi approximately 300 Mpc. This type of scaling structure was recently discovered in a simple reaction-diffusion "forest-fire" model, indicating a broad class of scaling phenomena.  相似文献

Five model reactions including an epoxidation by alkylhydroperoxide or Darzens condensation, as well as Michael additions were accomplished under phase transfer catalytic conditions using cinchonidine salts or lariat ethers with side arms having HO or Ph2P(O) endgroups as the catalysts. In almost all cases, the use of lariat ethers with either hydroxyalkyl- or phosphinoxido N-substituents led to better enantioselectivities than that of the three cinchonidine derivatives studied.  相似文献
