Visible improvements : Owing to the plasmon resonance of silver nanoparticles deposited on the surface of AgBr, the newly‐prepared plasmonic photocatalyst Ag§AgBr has a strong absorption in the visible region (see picture) and shows high efficiency in the photodegradation of organic pollutants under visible light.

The efforts to produce photocatalysts operating efficiently under visible light have led to a number of plasmonic photocatalysts, in which noble metal nanoparticles are deposited on the surface of polar semiconductor or insulator particles. In the metal-semiconductor composite photocatalysts, the noble metal nanoparticles act as a major component for harvesting visible light due to their surface plasmon resonance while the metal-semiconductor interface efficiently separates the photogenerated electrons and holes. In this article, we survey various plasmonic photocatalysts that have been prepared and characterized in recent years.  相似文献

Surface-hydrogenated anatase TiO(2) (TiO(2)-H) nanowire-microspheres were prepared by converting protonated titanate nanotube to TiO(2)-H under a hydrogen atmosphere. We show that TiO(2)-H nanowire-microspheres have Ti-H and O-H bonds on their surface and exhibit improved visible-light absorption and highly enhanced photocatalytic activity.  相似文献

[Ni(HF(2))(3-Clpy)(4)]BF(4) (py = pyridine) is a simple one-dimensional (1D) coordination polymer composed of compressed NiN(4)F(2) octahedra that form chains with bridging HF(2)(-) ligands. In spite of significant distortion of the HF(2)(-) bridge, a quasi-1D antiferromagnetic (AFM) behavior was observed with J(FHF) = 4.86 K.  相似文献

 The size-consistent self-consistent matrix dressing method has been applied on an open-shell single-configuration reference state. Once the reference state is converged, several low-lying roots can be obtained for the dressed configuration interaction (CI) matrices of appropriate symmetry. The CI matrices were built with a complete-active-space singles and doubles CI method in order to deal properly with multiconfiguration excited states. The vertical ionization and ionization–excitation transitions are obtained from the difference to the closed shell ground-state energy of the neutral molecule. The method has been applied to NH+ 3 and N+ 2 using atomic natural orbital basis sets and state-average adapted molecular orbitals. Two 2A1 states, very similar and showing great mixing of the (2a l −1) and (3a l −25a l 1) determinants, can be assigned to the broad asymmetric band at 27.6 ± 2 eV in the photoelectron spectrum of NH3. The possible contribution of a 2Π g (3σ g −2 g 1) state to the A shake-up peak of N2 at 24.6 eV is also discussed. Other states, doublets and quadruplets, are reported for both systems up to 30 eV for NH3 and 37 eV for N2. Using the Hartree–Fock and MP 2 methods with bases of up to 6-31++G (2d, 2p) quality, the optimum geometry of the 1:2 and 2:1 (H2O)n… (HF)m complexes of water and hydrogen fluoride is searched in a systematic way. Two minimum-energy conformations are found for the 1:2 complex connected through a low-energy transition state. For the 2:1 complex, only one minimum-energy structure is obtained. The analysis of the geometries of the minima and their vibrational frequencies shows that none of them can be used to explain the existence of the H …F? The electronic structure of the quasi two-dimensional (2D) organic superconductor -(ET)2SF5CH2CF2SO3 was examined by measuring Shubnikov-de Haas (SdH) and angle-dependent magnetoresistance (AMRO) oscillations and by comparing with electronic band-structure calculations. The SdH oscillation frequencies follow the angular dependence expected for a 2D Fermi surface (FS), and the observed fundamental frequency shows that the 2D FS is 5% of the first Brillouin zone in size. The AMRO data indicate that the shape of the 2D FS is significantly non-circular. The calculated electronic structure has a 2D FS in general agreement with experiment. From the temperature and angular dependence of the SdH amplitude, the cyclotron and band effective masses were estimated to be and ,where g is the conduction electron g factor and the free electron mass. The band effective mass is estimated to be from the calculated electronic band structure. Tight-binding electronic band structures and Madelung potentials were calculated for La(2)NiO(4), La(3)Ni(2)O(7), and La(4)Ni(3)O(10) to examine why a metal-to-metal transition occurs in the nickelate Ln(4)Ni(3)O(10) (Ln = La, Nd, Pr). La(4)Ni(3)O(10) and La(3)Ni(2)O(7) are each found to have two hidden one-dimensional (1D) Fermi surfaces, which suggests that both compounds should possess a charge density wave instability. Factors leading to hidden 1D Fermi surfaces in the e(g) block bands of the nickelates were discussed.  相似文献

Three ladder-like coordination polymers, [Cu2(phprpy)2-mu-(N3)2(N3)2], 1; [Cu2(terpy)2-mu-(N3)4Cu2-mu-(N3)2(N3)2], 2; and[Cu2(terpy)2-mu-(N3)2(N3)2Cu3-mu-(N3)4(N3)2], 3, consisting of Cu2+ ions with double end-on azide bridges were synthesized, their crystal structures and magnetic properties were determined, and spin dimer analysis was performed to explain the signs and strengths of their strong spin exchange interactions [phprpy is 4-(3-phenylpropyl)pyridine and terpy is 2,2':6,2'-terpyridine]. Although these compounds have ladder-like arrangements of Cu2+ ions, their magnetic structures are described as isolated dimers for 1 and 2 and as isolated trimers for 3. The predominant spin exchange paths in 1-3 have double end-on azide bridges linking adjacent Cu2+ ions, and the geometrical parameters of these bridging structures are similar. However, the spin dimer of 1 exhibits a strong ferromagnetic coupling; that of 2, a strong antiferromagnetic coupling; and that of 3, a weak ferromagnetic coupling. These findings are well explained by the present spin dimer analysis and show that the nature and geometry of the nonbridging ligands can have a strong influence on the sign and strength of the spin exchange interaction between Cu2+ ions connected by double end-on azide bridges.  相似文献

A self-assembled monolayer of 1,10'-phenanthroline (phen) molecules on Au(111) was found to undergo a structural phase transition when the bias voltage is switched in scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) experiments (Phys. Rev. Lett. 1995, 75, 2376; Surf. Sci. 1997, 389, 19). The nature of two bright spots representing each phen molecule in the high-resolution STM images of phen molecules on Au(111) was identified by calculating the partial density plots for a monolayer of phen molecules adsorbed on Au(111) with tight-binding electronic structure calculations. The stacking pattern of chains of phen molecules on Au(111) was explained by studying the intermolecular interactions between phen molecules on the basis of first-principles electronic structure calculations for a phen dimer, (phen)(2). The structural instability of phen molecule arrangement caused by the bias-voltage switch was probed by estimating the adsorbate-surface interaction energy with the point-charge approximation for Au(111).  相似文献
