We report the demonstration of passively continuous-wave mode-locking(CWML) of diode-pumped Tm,Ho:YV04 laser using an InGaAs/GaAs multiple quantum-well(MQW) structure semiconductor as the saturable absorber.Stable mode-locking pulses at the central wavelength of 2 041 nm are obtained. We experimentally demonstrate cavity phase matching for the first time using a sheet optical parametric oscillator which is made of an x-cut KTiOPO(4) crystal sheet. This microcavity presents 220 kW peak power capability for near-frequency-degenerate parametric outputs with up to 23.8% slope efficiency. It also features unique spectral characteristics such as single-longitudinal-mode and narrow linewidth. In this study, single-crystalline starfish-like cuprous oxide (Cu2O) nanocrystals with the backbones lengths in the range of 660 nm~16 ??m are successfully prepared through ??-irradiation, the cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) is used as a capping material or soft colloidal templates. Without the addition of CTAB in the reaction system, irregular Cu2O nanoclusters were obtained and their diameter is about 200 nm~1 ??m. Controlling the concentration ratio of CTAB to the copper ions, starfish-like morphology of Cu2O can be obtained in high yield. Their structures are characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. The possible growth mechanism of the starfish structure is discussed in the text. For potential application in lithium-ion batteries, an electrode made of the starfish-like Cu2O shows excellent electrochemical cycling performance and high-rate capability. Compared with the Cu2O nanoclusters, the starfish-like Cu2O exhibits an improved electrochemical cycling stability. The capacity of the starfish-like Cu2O can maintain 340 and 215 mAh g?1 after 50 cycles at the rate of 0.1 C and 5 C, respectively. The reversible capacity holds 60% as the discharge?Ccharge rate even increases by 50 times. 相似文献

Within the framework of effective-mass approximation, the effects of a laser field on the ground-state donor binding energy in zinc-blende (ZB) GaN/AlGaN quantum well (QW) have been investigated variationally. Numerical results show that the donor binding energy is highly dependent on QW structure parameters and Al composition in ZB GaN/AlGaN QW. The laser field effects are more noticeable on the donor binding energy of an impurity localized inside the QW with small well width and low Al composition. However, for the impurity located in the vicinity of the well edge of the QW, the donor binding energy is insensible to the variation of Al composition, well width and laser field intensity in ZB GaN/AlGaN QW. In particular, the competition effects between laser field and quantum confinement on impurity states have also been investigated in this paper. 相似文献
