Temperature dependence of the bandgap width in FeIn2Se4 single crystals

We have used the Bridgman method to grow single crystals of the ternary compound FeIn₂Se₄ and we have determined their composition and structure. We measured the transmission spectra in the intrinsic absorption edge region in the temperature range 20–300 K. From the transmission spectra, we determined the bandgap width and plotted its temperature dependence. We show that the E_g(T) dependence has a shape typical for semiconductor compounds.

Temperature-dielectric spectroscopy of aqueous solutions using the method of capillary-waveguide resonance

We study the temperature dependences of the frequency characteristics of a capillary-waveguide resonator for strongly absorbing media. The temperature influence on the frequency, Q-factor, and absorption depth in the studied resonance is theoretically revealed and experimentally confirmed. Determination of electric characteristics of a high-frequency torch discharge

Electric characteristics of a high-frequency torch discharge measured by the resonance method are presented. It is shown that discharge capacity determined by the modified Neumann scheme is close to the value of electrostatic capacity. Capacity of discharge channel was calculated with consideration of propagation of a surface electromagnetic wave along this channel.     

Multichannel prototype detector based on segmented straws

The design and technology of assembling a prototype detector based on segmented straws with a granularity of 4 cm² are considered. The prototype with a sensitive area of 400 × 200 mm contains two straw planes with a diameter of 4 mm shifted with respect to each other by the straw radius. The total number of registration channels is 360. The results of a test bench study of the prototype are presented.
