Experiments on high-quality GaAs (311)A two-dimensional holes at low temperatures reveal a remarkable dependence of the magnetoresistance, measured with an in-plane magnetic field ( B), on the direction of B relative to both the crystal axes and the current direction. The magnetoresistance features, and in particular the value of B above which the resistivity exhibits an insulating behavior, depend on the orientation of B. To explain the data, the anisotropic band structure of the holes and a repopulation of the spin subbands in the presence of B, as well as the coupling of the orbital motion to B, need to be taken into account.  相似文献

Distance algorithms are most frequently used in robotics to determine the distance between two obstacles in the environment of a robot or between a sensor point and an object. Bounding volumes are a common technique; this technique relies on a hierarchical model representation of the two surfaces using axis‐aligned bounding boxes. Formoving objects it is interesting to use unaligned octrees to avoid the wrapping effect that occurs when performing octree decomposition in a common coordinate system after several rotations. We discuss the algorithm for computing accurate enclosures for the distance between objects represented by axis‐aligned or unaligned octrees. Bioorthogonal catalysis mediated by transition metal catalysts (TMCs) presents a versatile tool for in situ generation of diagnostic and therapeutic agents. The use of ‘naked’ TMCs in complex media faces numerous obstacles arising from catalyst deactivation and poor water solubility. The integration of TMCs into engineered inorganic scaffolds provides ‘nanozymes’ with enhanced water solubility and stability, offering potential applications in biomedicine. However, the clinical translation of nanozymes remains challenging due to their side effects including the genotoxicity of heavy metal catalysts and unwanted tissue accumulation of the non-biodegradable nanomaterials used as scaffolds. We report here the creation of an all-natural catalytic “polyzyme”, comprised of gelatin–eugenol nanoemulsion engineered to encapsulate catalytically active hemin, a non-toxic iron porphyrin. These polyzymes penetrate biofilms and eradicate mature bacterial biofilms through bioorthogonal activation of a pro-antibiotic, providing a highly biocompatible platform for antimicrobial therapeutics.
