We have investigated a method for direct astatine labeling of proteins. Binding sites for astatine were created by coupling of a nido-carborane derivative to a protein, the human epidermal growth factor (hEGF), using two different conjugation methods - by glutaraldehyde cross-linking or by introduction of sulfohydryl groups by Traut's reagent with subsequent linking of ANC-1 with m-maleimidobenzoyl-N-hydroxysulfosuccinimide ester. The conjugates were astatinated using the Chloramine-T method in high yield. The best labeling was obtained by the glutaraldehyde conjugate with an average yield of 68±9%. In vitro stability tests indicated that the glutaraldehyde conjugated label was as stable as hEGF labeled with astatobenzoate.  相似文献

Positron-emitting isotopes of arsenic, 70As (T 1/2 = 53 min), 71As (T 1/2 = 64 h), 72As (T 1/2 = 26 h), and 73As (T 1/2 = 17.8 d) are of interest in biomedical investigations using PET. A fast and simple method for their production using low-energy proton and deuteron reactions on enriched Ge-targets is presented. Dry distillation of GeO2 at 1105 °C during 2 hours provides a separation efficiency of more than 60%. The loss of target material is less than one per cent and the irradiated targets can be used several times. The method allows production of diagnostically useful amounts of positron-emitting arsenic isotopes using accelerators commonly available at PET-centres.  相似文献

Pressure drop behaviour of ice slurry based on ethanol–water mixture in circular horizontal tubes has been experimentally investigated. The secondary fluid was prepared by mixing ethyl alcohol and water to obtain initial alcohol concentration of 10.3% (initial freezing temperature ?4.4 °C). The pressure drop tests were conducted to cover laminar and slightly turbulent flow with ice mass fraction varying from 0% to 30% depending on test conditions. Results from flow tests reveal much higher pressure drop for higher ice concentrations and higher velocities in comparison to the single phase flow. However for ice concentrations of 15% and higher, certain velocity exists at which ice slurry pressure drop is same or even lower than for single phase flow. It seems that higher ice concentration delay flow pattern transition moment (from laminar to turbulent) toward higher velocities. In addition experimental results for pressure drop were compared to the analytical results, based on Poiseulle and Buckingham–Reiner models for laminar flow, Blasius, Darby and Melson, Dodge and Metzner, Steffe and Tomita for turbulent region and general correlation of Kitanovski which is valid for both flow regimes. For laminar flow and low buoyancy numbers Buckingham–Reiner method gives good agreement with experimental results while for turbulent flow best fit is provided with Dodge–Metzner and Tomita methods.Furthermore, for transport purposes it has been shown that ice mass fraction of 20% offers best ratio of ice slurry transport capability and required pumping power.  相似文献

The problem of calculating the non-retarded Van der Waals type of interaction between two spherical voids in an electron gas is presented from a new approach. The formulation is based on an integral equation for the self-induced density oscillations derived from a semi-classical treatment of the density-density response theory for inhomogeneous electron systems. The interaction energy between two identical voids is found to obey d-6 law for large separation d between the voids, the law being determined by the dipolar plasma oscillations alone.  相似文献

We consider here a treatment of the dipolar plasmon of a small metallic sphere, for which the radial extension of the surface profile is small compared with the radius of the sphere. We obtain the eigenvalues and damping by solving the classical equations for a non-uniform system. The theory is applicable also to the driven response. We present a discussion on the absorptance of electromagnetic radiation per unit length in the surface region of a free electron like metal. We wish particularly to comment on recent work by Feibelman, Kliewer, Forstmann and Stenscke, who all considered different approximations of the jellium model. We are using a unified treatment from which the results in their models can easily be obtained. Our results confirm the general conclusions by Kliewer about a strong coupling to the electron-hole excitations which lead to a locally negative absorptance. In the model considered by Feibelman there is no such coupling to electron-hole excitations and he obtains the classical results for the absorptance. Forstmann and Stenschke have recently applied a hydrodynamical approach which gives results in disagreement with Kliewer's theory as well as with our own results, and we make some comments about their approach.  相似文献

The performance of a domestic heat pump that uses a low quantity of propane as refrigerant has been experimentally investigated. The heat pump consists of two minichannel aluminium heat exchangers, a scroll compressor, and an electronic expansion valve. It was charged with the minimum amount of refrigerant propane required for the stable operation of the heat pump without permitting refrigerant vapor into the expansion valve at incoming heat source fluid temperature to the evaporator of +10°C. The inlet temperature of the heat source fluid passing through the evaporator was varied from +10°C to ?10°C while holding the condensing temperature constant at 35°C, 40°C, 50°C, and 60°C, respectively. The minimum refrigerant charges required at above-tested condensing temperatures were found to decrease when the condensing temperature increased and were recorded as 230 g, 224 g, 215 g, and 205 g, respectively. The results confirm that a heat pump with 5 kW capacity can be designed with less than 200 g charge of refrigerant propane in the system. Due to the high solubility of propane in compressor lubrication oil, the amount of refrigerant which may escape rapidly in case of accident or leakage is less than 150 g.  相似文献
