Calibration is an operation whose main objective is to know the metrological status of a measurement system. Nevertheless, in analytical sciences, calibration has special connotations since it is the basis to do the quantification of the amount of one or more components (analytes) in a sample, or to obtain the value of one or more analytical parameters related with that quantity. Regarding this subject, the aim of analytical calibration is to find an empiric relationship, called measurement function, which permits subsequently to calculate the values of the amount (x-variable) of a substance in a sample, from the measured values on it of an analytical signal (y-variable). In this paper, the metrological bases of analytical calibration and quantification are established and, the different work schemes and calibration methodologies, which can be applied depending on the characteristic of the sample (analyte+matrix) to analyse, are distinguished and discussed. Likewise, the different terms and related names are clarified. A special attention has been paid to those analytical methods which use separation techniques, in relation with its effect on calibration operations and later analytical quantification.  相似文献

The layer-by-layer (LBL) assembly method, combined with the seeded growth technique, have been used to deposit gold shells on the surface of hematite (alpha-Fe(2)O(3)) spindles. While the LBL method yields dense coatings of preformed Au nanoparticles, when AuCl(-)(4) ions are further reduced by a mild reducing agent, thicker, rough nanostructured shells can be grown. The deposition process was monitored by TEM and UV-visible spectroscopy, demonstrating a gradual change in the optical features of the colloids as the surface is more densely covered. The particles so-prepared can find useful applications in cancer therapy and as SERS substrates. Additionally, we show that Au nanorods can be assembled on hematite spindles, providing a flexible way to tune the optical properties of the resulting composite colloids.  相似文献

A surface tension technique was used to determine the critical aggregation concentration (cac) of a yellow and a red dye in relation to the presence of the anionic surfactant sodium dodecylbenzene sulfonate (DBS) and to temperature changes in buffered aqueous solutions. The cac values of the yellow dye increase from 25 to 45 degrees C (from 41.37 to 50.32 mg L-1) and decrease from 45 to 55 degrees C (from 50.32 to 38.72 mg L-1). The cac values for the red dye/DBS aggregates decrease (from 124.52 to 88.50 mg L-1) from 25 to 55 degrees C. Adsorption of the two dyes onto a mesoporous aminopropyl silica (Sil-NH2) was also studied. The adsorption of the yellow dye increases with an increase in temperature from 25 to 55 degrees C. In the presence of DBS the adsorption on Sil-NH2 for the yellow dye decreases, and for the red dye increases from 25 to 55 degrees C. Adsorptions occurred below and above the cac of the anionic dyes/DBS aggregates. Adsorption of the dyes onto Sil-NH2 fitted well to the Langmuir, Freundlich, and Redlich-Peterson adsorption models. However, in the presence of DBS, only the Freundlich model fit the experimental adsorption data at low dye concentrations (less than 400 mg L-1). In this case, the Redlich-Peterson model was only fitted to the red dye adsorption data. The magnitude of the Dubinin-Radushkevich energetic parameters (E, from 7.00 to 15.00 kJ mol-1) indicates that the adsorption of the dyes onto Sil-NH2, in the absence and in the presence of DBS, is controlled by water adsorbed/dye in solution ion-exchange interactions. It is observed that the values of DeltaadsH are positive for both dyes and the values are quite similar to each other. The exception is the adsorption of the yellow dye in the presence of DBS, which is slightly exothermic. The DeltaadsG values are all negative. However, the interactions of the dyes with Sil-NH2 silica are more spontaneous in the presence of the surfactant. The positive adsorption entropy values (DeltaadsS) for the interaction of the dyes suggest that entropy is a driving force of the dye adsorptions. However, the entropic contribution is higher for the adsorptions in the presence of DBS. It was suggested that the chemical structures of the dyes play an important role in the formation of the dye/DBS aggregates and in dye adsorption onto the aminopropyl silica.  相似文献

A sensitive method is presented for the fast analysis of seven fuel oxygenates (methanol, ethanol, tert-butyl alcohol (TBA), methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE), ethyl tert-butyl ether (ETBE), tert-amyl methyl ether (TAME) and diisopropyl ether (DIPE)) and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and p-xylene (BTEX) in water samples. The applicability of a headspace (HS) autosampler in combination with a GC device equipped with a programmable temperature vaporizer (PTV) and a MS detector is explored. The proposed method achieves a clear improvement in sensitivity with respect to conventional headspace methods due to the use of the PTV. Two different packed liners with materials of different trapping strengths (glass wool and Tenax-TA) were compared. The benefits of using Tenax-TA instead of glass wool as packed material for the measurement of the 11 compounds emerged as better signal-to-noise ratios and hence better detection limits. The proposed method is extremely sensitive. The limits of detection are of the order of ng/L for six of the compounds studied and of the order of microg/L for the rest, with the exception of the most polar and volatile compound: methanol. Precision (measured as the relative standard deviation for a level with an S/N ratio close to 3) was equal to or lower than 15% in all cases. The method was applied to the determination of the analytes in natural matrixes (tap, river and sea water) and the results obtained can be considered highly satisfactory. The methodology has much lower detection limits than the concentration limits proposed in drinking water by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the European Union for compounds under regulation.  相似文献

Aqueous-phase alkylation followed by, headspace solid-phase microextraction (SPME) for mercury speciation in biota, was developed a decade ago. Despite this, matrix effects in this technique have not yet been addressed. In this paper, the importance of these effects has been assessed and overcome by standard addition calibration. Furthermore, improvements were made in the extraction of methylmercury (MeHg) from biological matrixes by optimizing the matrix digestion procedure (temperature and digestion time) and the SPME parameters (aliquot volume of digested samples, extraction temperature and fibre coating), which aimed to minimize the matrix effects. Accordingly, samples were alkaline digested (KOH, 25%, w/v, 60 degrees C, 180 min) and an aliquot was propylated using an aqueous NaBPr(4) solution, headspace SPME sampling and, finally, by using GC-pyrolysis (Py)-atomic fluorescence spectrometry (AFS) determination. The procedure developed was validated using dogfish muscle reference material NRCC DORM-2.  相似文献

A study on interaction between N‐(4‐pyridinyliden)anilines 1‐4 and 2,2‐dimethoxypropane under Kametani reaction conditions was realized. According to the GC‐MS analysis of crude reaction, besides the needed 4‐methyl‐2‐(4‐pyridinyl)quinolines 5‐8 , three collateral products: secondary amines 9‐12 , 4‐(2‐methylprop‐1‐enyl)quinolines 13‐16 and 4‐(2‐methoxy‐2‐methylpropyl)quinolines 17‐20 were formed. Unexpected quinolines 13‐16 as well the desired quinolines 5‐8 were isolated and fully characterized. In contrast, a condensation of N‐benzylidenaniline 21 with 2,2‐dimethoxypropane afforded a set of different quinoline products.  相似文献

In this work silica gels have been prepared by a sol-gel method using tetraethylorthosilicate as gel precursor. The tetraruthenated porphyrins H2(3-TRPyP), Co(3-TRPyP), and H2(4-TRPyP) were incorporated into the systems during gel formation without problems commonly found in the process, such as aggregation. Spectroscopic studies of the resulting silica gels revealed the presence of absorption bands in the range 200-400 nm associated with the transitions of the groups ruthenium-bipyridine, along with the Soret band at the same wavelengths observed in solution. The porphyrins were found to preserve fluorescence emission properties in the range 650-700 nm even after the aging period. Study of the thermal behavior and decomposition kinetics evidenced that the porphyrin H2(4-TRPyP) is the least stable of the group and that all compounds decompose according to first-order kinetics.  相似文献

A range of biaryl compounds (aryl-aryl, aryl-heteroaryl, and heteroaryl-heteroaryl) can be efficiently prepared by a palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reaction between ortho-substituted triarylindium reagents and aryl halides. The triarylindium reagents are prepared by directed ortho-lithiation and transmetallation to indium from the corresponding benzene derivatives using various directed metallation groups (DMGs). The reaction proceeds smoothly in high yields and short reaction times with high atom economy (the three aryl groups attached to indium are efficiently transferred).  相似文献

Isoxazolino[4,5:1,2][60]- and -[70]fullerenes undergo an efficient retro-cycloaddition reaction to pristine fullerene by thermal treatment in the presence of an excess of a dienophile and Cu(II) catalysis, which can be selectively used in the presence of malonate or pyrrolidine cycloadducts. Trapping experiments using N-phenylmaleimide as dipolarophile have shown that the reaction mechanism occurs by thermal removal of the nitrile oxide 1,3-dipole, in a process which is favored by the presence of Cu(II) as the catalyst. The ESI-MS study supports the observed retro-cycloaddition process for both C60 and C70 derivatives. In contrast to previous electrochemical retro-cycloaddition processes observed in fulleropyrrolidines, isoxazolinofullerenes were stable under oxidative conditions.  相似文献
