The electronic structure of Bernal-stacked graphite subject to tilted magnetic fields is studied theoretically. The minimal nearest-neighbor tight-binding model with the Peierls substitution is employed to describe the structure of Landau levels. We show that, while the orbital effect of the in-plane component of the magnetic field is negligible for massive Dirac fermions in the vicinity of the K point of the graphite Brillouin zone, at the H point it leads to the experimentally observable splitting of Landau levels, which grows approximately linearly with the in-plane field intensity. 相似文献
In this contribution we propose a method for determining the type of computer component whose replacement minimizes repair costs depending on the warranty period. Components that most often cause a dysfunctional state of a computer are first identified using records of warranty repairs from the customer service department. Repair costs covered by warranty are then calculated using a semi-analytic method and simulation of the most critical component lifetime in different user environments. It was assumed that the use of a cheaper critical component generally results in higher costs for computer warranty services due to shorter failure-free runs. For this reason, the company should choose a compromise between price and quality. Input data was taken from the records supplied by the computer assembling company (times between failures) and from the records from time tracking software (computer up-time). 相似文献

Analysis of amino acids and very efficient disinfection procedures are based on the reaction of phthalaldehyde (OPA) with primary amines. In this contribution, aminoethanol (=kolamin) as a nitrogen‐containing nucleophile was used for the investigation of its reaction mechanism with OPA performed in basic aqueous buffered media (pH 9.5), where an influence of hydration or solvation is expected, and in anhydrous acetonitrile. Depending on the detailed reaction conditions, seven products were isolated and their structures determined by NMR, mass spectrometry, and X‐ray structure analysis. Reaction mechanisms are proposed, which involve hydride transfers to OPA (Cannizzaro‐type reaction).
