In this work we report the magnetic and structural properties obtained by Mössbauer spectrometry, Vibrating Sample Magnetometer and X-ray diffraction of milled powders with initial composition Nd2(Fe100 ? x Nb x )14B with x = 0 and x = 4. The mixtures were ball milled for different times up to 240 h. Structural and microstructural parameters were derived from high statistics X-ray patterns and discussed as a function of milling time. The Mössbauer spectra of the samples were fitted by means of a sextet and an hyperfine field distribution, associated to a pure iron phase (α-Fe) and a disordered iron-based phase, respectively. The α-Fe grain size decreases from 50 nm for 6 h up to 5 nm for 240 h milling time. The Vibrating Sample Magnetometer results allow to conclude that these samples behave as soft ferromagnets.  相似文献

The far-field large-scale dynamics of a momentum-driven Re = 2 × 108 non-reacting jet and a Re = 3 × 107 jet diffusion flame are presented and compared. The results are derived from computer graphic volume rendering of a set of sequential images of each flow. When compared to conventional display techniques, volume rendering, by allowing many frames of a movie sequence to be presented simultaneously, more clearly shows the detailed flow evolution. For the non-reacting jet we see the passage and growth of large-scale organized structures up through the jet column, the axial velocity decay of the structures, the fluid entrainment patterns, and occasional pairing events. A rendering of a non-sequential set of images shows no discernible organized component. Volume rendering of the reacting jet shows a similar pattern of burning large-scale organized structures which convert over considerable axial distances but without the corresponding velocity decay, similar to observations of laboratory flames. The images presented here are believed to be some of the most direct visual evidence to date for large-scale organized motions in the far-field of high Reynolds number, fully developed jets and jet flames. Since conditional sampling techniques are not used, we believe that the volume renderings seen here are likely to be representative of the natural development of jet flows.  相似文献

A series of polyisophthalamides containing phenylsulfonyl groups was prepared from seven aromatic diamines and 5-phenylsulfonylisophthalic acid by the phosphorylation condensation method, and from 5-phenylsulfonylisophthaloyl chloride by the solution polycondensation method at low temperature. When compared to the analogous unmodified polyisophthalamides, the modified ones were found to be essentially amorphous, and they showed better solubility in organic solvents, and slightly higher glass transition temperatures. Thermogravimetric analysis showed that the polyisophthalamides containing pendent phenylsulfonyl groups have thermal stabilities similar to the unmodified ones. In this work we report a comparative study of the magnetic and structural properties of Fe50Al50 alloys produced by mechanical alloying using two different planetary ball mills with the same ball mass to powder mass relation. The Fe50Al50 sample milled during 48 h using the Fritsch planetary ball mill pulverisette 5 and balls of 20 mm, presents only a bcc alloy phase with a majority of paramagnetic sites, whereas that sample milled during the same time using the Fritsch planetary ball mill pulverisette 7 with balls of 15 mm, presents a bcc alloy phase with paramagnetic site (doublet) and a majority of ferromagnetic sites which include pure Fe. However for 72 h of milling this sample presents a bcc paramagnetic phase, very similar to that prepared with the first system during 48 h. These results show that the conditions used in the first ball mill equipment make more efficient the milling process.  相似文献

The properties of the negative parity states of55Fe and57Fe are investigated in the framework of the intermediate coupling model. In the model, a neutron or a quasineutron is coupled to anharmonic vibrations of the core. Anharmonicities of the vibrations are estimated through the observed properties of the core. Energy levels, spectroscopic factors and electromagnetic properties have been calculated. The results of the present calculations are also compared with available experimental results and other theoretical results. The model reasonably accounts for many of the properties of the low-lying states.  相似文献

A combined OH/acetone planar laser-induced fluorescence (PLIF) imaging technique that provides simultaneous visualizations of regions of unburned fuel and of combustion in a reacting flow is described. OH marks the location of chemical reaction and of combustion products, and acetone vapor, which is seeded into the fuel stream, marks unburned fuel. A single pulse from an ultraviolet laser is used to simultaneously excite both the OH and acetone, and the fluorescence from each is detected on separate cameras. Acetone spectroscopy and chemistry are reviewed to provide a basis for interpreting acetone fluorescence signals in high-temperature combusting environments. The imaging technique is applied to two nonpremixed turbulent reacting flows to assess the utility of the technique for visualizing the instantaneous flow structure and to illustrate the dependence of the interpretation of the acetone PLIF images on the flow conditions.Support was provided for this work by the Air Force Office of Scientific Research, Aerospace Sciences Directorate, with Julian Tishkoff as Technical Monitor, and is gratefully acknowledged. In this paper we report the syntheses and study of a number of oxo- and sulphido-bridged tungsten(V) complexes with morpholine dithiocarbamate and piperidine dithiocarbamate as ligands. We assign the following formulae to the complexes: W2O3(Rdtc)4, W2O4(Rdtc)2, W2O2S2(Rdtc)2 and W2O3S(Rdtc)2 (where R = morpholine and piperidine), based on the analytical data. We have studied the complexes by IR and electronic spectra, and magnetic susceptibility measurements. We assign in the IR spectra the following bands: W=O (νs=939–948 cm?1), W-Oba=813–819 cm?1, νs = 431–448 cm?1), W-Sba=470–476 cm?1, νs = 368–370 cm?1, C-N (β = 1511–1519 cm?1) and C-S (ν = 1090–1113 cm?1). The low values of the magnetic moments (0.03–0.60 B.M.) are in accordance with a dimeric species of tungsten(V).  相似文献
