The reactions of laser‐ablated Au, Ag, and Cu atoms with F2 in excess argon and neon gave new absorptions in the M? F stretching region of their IR spectra, which were assigned to metal‐fluoride species. For gold, a Ng? AuF bond was identified in mixed neon/argon samples. However, this bonding was much weaker with AgF and CuF. Molecules MF2 and MF3 (M=Au, Ag, Cu) were identified from the isotopic distribution of the Cu and Ag atoms, comparison of the frequencies for three metal fluorides, and theoretical frequency calculations. The AuF5 molecule was characterized by its strongest stretching mode and theoretical frequency calculations. Additional evidence was observed for the formation of the Au2F6 molecule.  相似文献

Separations using methanol–water or acetonitrile–water mixtures at different temperatures have been well investigated in reversed-phase liquid chromatography. However, reversed-phase separation with dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO)–water mixtures is much less studied. In this work, separations of polyhydroxybenzenes, phenol derivatives, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX), and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) with DMSO-modified subcritical water were performed at several temperatures to evaluate the effect of temperature on the elution strength of DMSO–water mixtures. The column efficiency obtained by using DMSO-modified subcritical water was also studied. Finally, the resolution of ethylbenzene and p-xylene was investigated.  相似文献

Both (PNP)Re(H)(4) and (PNP)ReH(cyclooctyne) (PNP(i)(Pr) = ((i)Pr(2)PCH(2)SiMe(2))(2)N) react with alkylpyridines NC(5)H(4)R to give first (PNP)ReH(2)(eta(2)-pyridyl) and cyclooctene and then, when not sterically blocked, (PNP)Re(eta(2)-pyridyl)(2) and cyclooctane. The latter are shown by NMR, X-ray diffraction, and DFT calculations to have several energetically competitive isomeric structures and pyridyl N donation in preference to PNP amide pi-donation. DFT studies support NMR solution evidence that the most stable bis pyridyl structure is one that is doubly eta(2)- with the pyridyl N donating to the metal center. When both ortho positions carry methyl substituents, cyclooctane and the carbyne complex (PNP)ReH(tbd1;C-pyridyl) are produced. Excess 2-vinyl pyridine reacts with (PNP)Re(H)(4) preferentially at the vinyl group, to give 2-ethyl pyridine and the sigma-vinyl complex (PNP)ReH[eta(2)-CH=CH(2-py)]. The DFT and X-ray structures show, by various comparisons, the ability of the PNP amide nitrogen to pi-donate to an otherwise unsaturated d(4) Re(III) center, showing short Re-N distances consistent with the presence of pi-donation.  相似文献

2,7-Dimethyl-1,8-naphthyridine (L1) reacts with pentacarbonylchlororhenium in toluene or chloroform to give the target complex fac-{ReCl(CO)3(L1)}. X-ray crystallographic data were obtained for fac-{ReCl(CO)3(L1)}. The structural and 1H NMR data suggest that the ligand coordinates to the rhenium in a bidentate fashion in both solid and solution states. The complex was also found to be luminescent in both solution and solid states. The fluxionality of the ligand in solution causes ligand-centred emission to be observed in solution, whereas only 3MLCT emission was observed in the solid state. Although the complex was air-stable, the lability of L1 was studied in 1H NMR experiments where CD3OD induced complete ligand dissociation over the course of 24 h, and also in reaction of fac-{ReCl(CO)3(L1)} with one equivalent of 2,2′-bipyridine in chloroform which resulted in quantitative ligand exchange. The syntheses of the two tetraazamacrocyclic ligands L1 and L2 bearing a [(methoxy‐2‐nitrophenyl)amino]carbonyl chromophore, i.e., an N‐(methoxy‐2‐nitrophenyl)acetamide moiety, together with their corresponding lanthanide‐ion complexes are described. A combined spectroscopic (UV/VIS, 1H‐NMR), structural (X‐ray), and theoretical (DFT) investigation revealed that the absorption properties of the chromophores were dictated by the extent of electronic delocalisation, which in turn was determined by the position of the MeO substituent at the aromatic ring. X‐Ray crystallographic studies showed that when attached to the macrocycle, both isomeric forms of the N‐(methoxy‐2‐nitrophenyl)acetamide unit can participate in coordination, via the C?O, to an encapsulated potassium cation. Luminescence measurements confirmed that such a binding mode also exists in solution for the corresponding lanthanide complexes (q ca. ≤1), with the para‐MeO derivative allowing longer wavelength sensitization (λex 330 nm).  相似文献

The hairpin ribozyme catalyzes a reversible phosphodiester cleavage reaction. We examined the roles of conserved nucleobases in catalysis using an abasic ribozyme rescue strategy. Loss of the active site G8 nucleobase reduced the cleavage rate constant by 350-fold while loss of A9 and A10 nucleobases reduced activity less than 10-fold. Certain heterocyclic amines restored partial activity when provided in solution to the variant lacking G8. Heterocyclic amines that were capable of rescue shared the exocyclic amine and cyclic amide in common with the Watson-Crick hydrogen bonding face of guanine. In contrast to the shallow pH dependence of unmodified ribozyme activity, rescue activity increased sharply with decreasing pH. These results support a novel model for RNA catalysis in which a cationic nucleobase contributes electrostatic stabilization to negative charge developing in the transition state.  相似文献

The reaction of (R(2)PCH(2)SiMe(2))(2)NM (PNP(R)M; R = Cy; M = Li, Na, MgHal, Ag) with L(2)ReOX(3) [L(2) = (Ph(3)P)(2) or (Ph(3)PO)(Me(2)S); X = Cl, Br] gives (PNP(Cy))ReOX(2) as two isomers, mer,trans and mer,cis. These compounds undergo a double Si migration from N to O at 90 degrees C to form (POP(Cy))ReNX(2) as a mixture of mer,trans and fac,cis isomers. Additional thermolysis effects migration of CH(3) from Si to Re, along with compensating migration of halide from Re to Si. DFT calculations on various structural isomers support the greater thermodynamic stability of the POP/ReN isomer vs PNP/ReO and highlight the influence of the template effect on the reactivities of these species.  相似文献

The mdx mouse is the most commonly used animal model for Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), a disease caused by the absence of dystrophin. Although much has been done to elucidate the structure and function of dystrophin and the dystrophin-associated glycoprotein complex (DGC), little is known about the cascade of molecular events triggered by the absence of dystrophin that lead to muscle degeneration. To study the molecular basis of DMD, we decided to systematically study the skeletal muscle proteome in mdx mice at different ages. By using two-dimensional (2-D) gel electrophoresis, we defined changes in the protein expression pattern between mdx and control muscles. Approximately 46 differentially expressed proteins from the cytosolic fraction of mdx hindlimb muscles at three months of age were detected by 2-D gel analysis, of which 24 were identified by matrix assisted laser desorption/ionization- mass spectrometry. Most of the proteins fell into five groups of functionally related proteins. These functional categories are (i) metabolism and energy production, (ii) serine protease inhibitor family, (iii) growth and differentiation, (iv) calcium homeostasis, and (v) cytoskeletal reorganization and biogenesis. The potential roles of the differentially expressed proteins are discussed in the context of the mdx phenotype. Finally, we analyzed alterations of protein expression in mdx mice at one and six months of age to determine how protein expression changes with disease progression.  相似文献

A quantum electrodynamical calculation is presented that focuses individually on the two quantum pathways or time orderings for resonance energy transfer. Conventional mathematical procedures necessitate summing the quantum pathway amplitudes at an early stage in the calculations. Here it is shown, by the adoption of a different strategy that allows deferral of the amplitude summation, that it is possible to elicit key information regarding the relative significance of the two pathways and their distinct distance dependences. A special function integration method delivers equations that also afford new insights into the behavior of virtual photons. It is explicitly demonstrated that both time-ordered pathways are effective at short distances, while in the far field the dissipation of virtual traits favors one pathway. Hitherto unknown features are exhibited in the oblique asymptotic behavior of the time-ordered contributions and their quantum interference. Consistency with the rate equations of resonance energy transfer is demonstrated and results are presented graphically.  相似文献

Stalk lodging in maize results in significant yield losses. We have determined that cellulose per unit length of the stalk is the primary determinant of internodal strength. An increase in cellulose concentration in the wall might allow simultaneous improvements in stalk strength and harvest index. Cellulose formation in plants can be perturbed by mutations in the genes involved in cellulose synthesis, post-synthetic cellulose alteration or deposition, N-glycosylation, and some other genes with as yet unknown functions. We have isolated 12 members of the cellulose synthase (CesA) gene family from maize. The genes involved in primary wall formation appear to have duplicated relatively independently in dicots and monocots. The deduced amino acid sequences of three of the maize genes, ZmCesA10–12, cluster with the Arabidopsis CesA sequences that have been shown to be involved in secondary wall formation. Based on their expression patterns across multiple tissues, these three genes appear to be coordinately expressed. The remaining genes show overlapping expression to varying degrees with ZmCesA1, 7, and 8 forming one group, ZmCesA3 and 5 a second group, and ZmCesA2 and 6 exhibiting independent expression of any other gene. This suggests that the varying levels of coexpression may just be incidental except in the case of ZmCesA10–12, which may interact with each other to form a functional enzyme complex. Isolation of the expressed CesA genes from maize and their association with primary or secondary wall formation has made it possible to test their respective roles in cellulose synthesis through mutational genetics or transgenic approaches. This information would be useful in improving stalk strength.  相似文献
