The Boehringer-Ingelheim phosphinoimidazoline (BIPI) ligands were applied to the formation of chiral quaternary centers in the asymmetric Heck reaction. Several different substrates were examined in detail, using more than 70 members of this new ligand class. Hammett relationships were determined through systematic variation of the ligand electronics. All substrates showed essentially the same Hammett behavior, where enantioselectivity increased as the ligands were made more electron-deficient. Ligand optimization has led to catalysts which give the highest enantioselectivities reported to date for these difficult systems.  相似文献

Measuring a mixture of acetone and perdeuterated acetone (acetone-d6) with an ultra-high resolution drift time ion mobility spectrometer (resolving power of Rp?=?235) and ultraviolet ionization (10.6 eV) at ambient pressure reveals three separated peaks. Two of the peaks can easily be associated with acetone and perdeuterated acetone. In a former publication several findings indicated an exchange of a methyl group and the formation of a H3COCD3 related peak. In this work the formed ion species were analyzed with a high resolution drift time ion mobility time of flight mass spectrometer. The mass spectra clearly show the formation of three proton-bound dimer peaks whereas the peak between acetone and acetone-d6 is a proton-bound mixed dimer consisting of one acetone and one acetone-d6 molecule.  相似文献

Enantiotopic discrimination in the NMR spectra of prochiral rigid solutes in chiral liquid crystals (CLC), by the ordering mechanism, is limited to molecules possessing one of the four, so called, "allowed" symmetries, D(2d), C(2v), C(s), and S(4). So far, such spectral discrimination was demonstrated only for solutes possessing one of the first three symmetries. In this work, we present deuterium NMR measurements on a rigid S(4) compound dissolved in a chiral nematic solvent and demonstrate, for the first time, enantiotopic discrimination in such symmetry. The measurements were performed on the isotopically normal icosane derivative (1) and on its isotopomer (1-d(8)), specifically deuterated in its four core methylene groups. As a CLC solvent, a lyotropic mesophase, consisting of a solution of poly-γ-benzyl-L-glutamate (PBLG) in pyridine, was employed. For comparison with a corresponding achiral liquid crystal (ALC) solvent, a solution of a racemic mixture of poly-γ-benzylglutamate (PBG) of similar composition in the same co-solvent was used. The spectra were recorded at 92.1 MHz using the 2D Q-COSY Fz sequence with proton decoupling. In the CLC solvents they exhibited clear discrimination due to different enantiotopic sites, with components displaced symmetrically, at frequencies below and above those in the corresponding ALC, as expected for discrimination by ordering. Two procedures were employed for correlating the enantiotopic sites in the CLC spectra. For 1-d(8) the dipolar cross-peaks in a 2D (2)H-(2)H COSY-90 experiment provided identification of signals belonging to the same methylene (and hence the same enantiotopic) groups. For 1 the correlation was achieved using a least-square-deviation fitting of the experimental quadrupole splittings with respect to those expected from the molecular geometry. These results, with appropriate symmetry considerations were used to determine the symmetric (S(zz)) and antisymmetric (S(xy) and S(xx)-S(yy)) components of the Saupe ordering matrix. Interpretation of the NMR spectra of prochiral solutes in CLC suffers from the ambiguity in identifying the signals with specific enantiotopic groups. For this reason only the relative (but not the absolute) signs of the antisymmetric elements of the ordering matrix can be determined. For the S(4) group this leads to sign ambiguity in the rhombic term in the diagonalized ordering matrix. Similar (but not identical) ambiguities occur for solutes belonging to the other allowed groups. In a concluding section of the paper, the ambiguities in the antisymmetric order parameters for the various allowed groups are compared and their physical meaning are discussed.  相似文献

The synthesis, spectroscopic and X-ray structural characterization of copper(II) and palladium(II) complexes with aziridine ligands as 2-dimethylaziridine HNCH(2)CMe(2) (a), the bidentate N-(2-aminoethyl)aziridines C(2)H(4)NC(2)H(4)NH(2) (b) or CH(2)CMe(2)NCH(2)CMe(2)NH(2) (c) as well as the unsaturated azirine NCH(2)CPh (d) are reported. Cleavage of the cyclometallated Pd(II) dimer [μ-Cl(C(6)H(4)CHMeNMe(2)-C,N)Pd](2) with ligand a yielded compound [Cl(NHCH(2)CMe(2))(C(6)H(4)CHMe(2)NMe(2)-C,N)Pd] (1a). The reaction of the aziridine complex trans-[Cl(2)Pd(HNC(2)H(4))(2)] with an excess of aziridine in the presence of AgOTf gave the ionic chelate complex trans-[(C(2)H(4)NC(2)H(4)NH(2)-N,N')(2)Pd](OTf)(2) (2b) which contains the new ligand b formed by an unexpected insertion and ring opening reaction of two aziridines ("aziridine dimerization"). CuCl(2) reacted in pure HNC(2)H(4) or HNCH(2)CMe(2) (b) again by "dimerization" to give the tris-chelated ionic complex [Cu(C(2)H(4)NC(2)H(4)NH(2)-N,N')(3)]Cl(2) (3b) or the bis-chelated complex [CuCl(C(2)H(2)Me(2)NC(2)H(2)Me(2)NH(2)-N,N')(2)]Cl (4c). By addition of 2H-3-phenylazirine (d) to PdCl(2), trans-[Cl(2)Pd(NCH(2)CPh)(2)] (5d) was formed. All new compounds were characterized by NMR, IR and mass spectra and also by X-ray structure analyses (except 3b). Additionally the cytotoxic effects of these complexes were examined on HL-60 and NALM-6 human leukemia cells and melanoma WM-115 cells. The antimicrobial activity was also determined. The growth of Gram-positive bacterial strains (S. aureus, S. epidermidis, E. faecalis) was inhibited by almost all tested complexes at the concentrations of 37.5-300.0 μg mL(-1). However, MIC values of complexes obtained for Gram-negative E. coli and P. aeruginosa, as well as for C. albicans yeast, mostly exceeded 300 μg mL(-1). The highest antibacterial activity was achieved by complexes 1a and 2b. Complex 2b also inhibited the growth of Gram-negative bacteria.  相似文献

Novel electron donor–acceptor–donor (D-A-D) compounds comprising dibenzo[a,j]phenazine as the central acceptor core and two 7-membered diarylamines (iminodibenzyl and iminostilbene) as the donors have been designed and synthesized. Investigation of their physicochemical properties revealed the impact of C2 insertion into well-known carbazole electron donors on the properties of previously reported twisted dibenzo[a,j]phenazine-core D-A-D triads. Slight structural modification caused a drastic change in conformational preference, allowing unique photophysical behavior of dual emission derived from room-temperature phosphorescence and triplet–triplet annihilation. Furthermore, electrochemical analysis suggested sigma-dimer formation and electrochemical polymerization on the electrode. Quantum chemical calculations also rationalized the experimental results.  相似文献

Preparative Chromatographic Resolution of Synthetically Useful Cyclic Acetals Racemic cyclic acetals derived from aldehydes and glycine, glycolic acid, thioglycolic acid, formylacetic acid, and acetoacetic acid (oxazolidinones 4 – 13 , dioxolanones 14 , 15 , oxathiolanone 16 , dioxinones 17 – 23 ) are resolved by preparative high-pressure liquid chromatography on silica gel coated with the polymer from N-acryloylphenylalanine ethyl ester (Chiraspher®). The separation factors α range from1,1 to 2,4. Use of a Prepbar®-chromatography system allows injection of several grams at a time. The enantiomeric acetals thus obtained are fully characterized. First application to amino-acid synthesis are mentioned.  相似文献

Ab initio calculations of core-ionization spectra of the anion-molecule Cl-CO cluster are performed. Particular attention is paid to the investigation of charge-transfer screening processes accompanying core ionization of the CO molecule in the cluster. The charge-transfer processes are very efficient and favored by the presence of a low-lying unoccupied pi* orbital in CO capable of accepting an electron from Cl-. The O1s(-1) and C1s(-1) core-ionization spectra are calculated and compared. Both reveal a breakdown of the quasiparticle picture of core ionization caused by the charge-transfer processes. Remarkable differences between these two spectra are found which manifest themselves in distinct intensity distributions in the prominent low-energy spectral bands. The underlying reason for these differences is elucidated and linked with the preference of the pi* orbital to localize mainly on carbon. Core-ionization spectra of anion-molecule clusters are very sensitive to the type of the molecule involved as the comparative analysis of the O1s(-1) core-ionization spectra of the Cl-CO and Cl-H(2)O clusters show.  相似文献

Acrylamide complexes of metal nitrates: [M(O‐OC(NH2)CHCH2)n(H2O)m][NO3]2 (M = Co( 1 ), Ni( 2 ) (n = 6 and m = 0) and Zn( 3 ) (n = 4 and m = 2)) have been determined by using single crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis. All complexes crystallize in the triclinic space group . The structures of 1 and 2 represent octahedral species [M(AAm)6]2+ (AAm = O‐OC(NH2)CHCH2 and M = Co or Ni) and uncoordinated nitrate ions. The structure of 3 involves the octahedral cation [Zn(AAm)4(H2O)2]2+ in which the Zn2+ environment includes oxygen atoms of four acrylamide and two water molecules that are stabilized using ionic nitrate ions. The observations of the solid‐state IR spectroscopic vibrational frequencies of these acrylamide complexes are in agreement with the crystal structures.  相似文献

Comprehensive multi-dimensional hyphenation of a thermogravimetry device (i.e. a thermobalance) to gas chromatography and single photon ionization–time-of-flight mass spectrometry (TG–GC×SPI–MS) has been used to investigate two crude oil samples of different geographical origin. The source of the applied vacuum ultraviolet radiation is an electron beam pumped rare gas excimer lamp (EBEL). The soft photoionization favors the formation of molecular ions. Introduction of a fast, rapidly modulated gas chromatographic separation step in comparison with solely TG–SPI–MS enables strongly enhanced detection especially with such highly complex organic matrices as crude oil. In contrast with former TG–SPI–MS measurements, separation and identification of overlying substances is possible because of different GC retention times. The specific contribution of isobaric compounds to one mass signal is determined for alkanes, naphthalenes, alkylated benzenes, and other compounds.

In this study, novel water‐soluble corrole amino acid conjugates were synthesized and characterized. The coupling reaction of A2B‐ and A3‐corroles with glycine ethyl ester and taurine under strong basic conditions proved to be successful and yielded di‐ and trifunctionalized corrole amino acid conjugates in good yields. The subsequent metalation of the corrole/amino acid conjugates broadens the scope for applications considerably. As examples, we herein show the catalytic activity of the Mn(III) A3‐corrole towards O2 evolution. First we employed tert‐butyl hydroperoxide (t‐BuOOH) as oxidant to obtain the Mn(V)oxo species and tetrabutyl ammonium hydroxide (TBAH) as hydroxide donor agent. Furthermore, the binding properties of the non‐metalated and the Mn(III) A3‐corrole/amino sulfonic acid conjugates and transport of proteins were investigated and the conjugates exhibited binding to human serum albumin (HSA). Finally, a novel Ga(III) A3‐corrole/amino sulfonic acid derivative was synthesized and we briefly describe the photophysical properties of this compound.
