We have developed an analytical assay to detect the enzymatic activity of acetylcholine esterase and alkaline phosphatase based on the generation of quantum dots by enzymatic products. Acetylcholine esterase converts acetylthiocholine into thiocholine. The latter enhances the rate of decomposition of sodium thiosulfate into H2S, which in the presence of cadmium sulfate yields CdS quantum dots showing a time dependent exponential growth, typical of autocatalytic processes. This assay was also applied to detect acetylcholine esterase inhibitors. Alkaline phosphatase hydrolyzes thiophosphate and yields H2S, which instantly reacts with Cd2+ to give CdS quantum dots. The formation of CdS quantum dots in both reactions was followed by fluorescence spectroscopy and showed dependence on the concentration of enzyme and substrate.  相似文献

Bulk superconducting samples of type Tl0.5Pb0.5Sr1.6Ba0.4CaCu2−x Ru x O7−δ, (Tl, Pb)/Sr-1212, with 0.0 ≤ x ≤ 0.525 were prepared by the conventional one-step solid-state reaction technique. The prepared samples were investigated using X-ray powder diffraction, electrical resistivity and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) measurements. Enhancement of the phase formation, superconducting transition temperature T c and hole carriers concentration P was observed up to x = 0.075. For x > 0.075, a reverse trend was observed. EPR spectra were measured at different temperatures (120–290 K) for all prepared samples. The number of spins N participating in the resonance and the paramagnetic susceptibility χ were calculated as a function of both Ru-content and temperature. N and χ increased as the Ru-content increased. A linear relationship between logN and 1/T was established, from which the activation energy E a was calculated as a function of the Ru-content. The temperature dependence of χ was fitted according to Curie–Weiss type of magnetic behavior. Curie constant C, Curie temperature θ, the effective magnetic moment μ and the electronic specific heat γ were estimated as a function of the Ru-content.  相似文献

Despite the therapeutic efficacy of valproic acid towards numerous diseases, its poor bioavailability and systemic side effects pose significant barriers to long term treatment. In order to take advantage of controlled release implants of valproic acid, the drug was encapsulated into titania ceramic matrices via a sol-gel process. The integrity and structure of valproic acid-containing matrices were characterized through the use of FESEM, TEM, and BET analyses. In vitro controlled release studies and kinetic analyses were performed under ambient conditions (25 °C, atmospheric pressure) and controlled release behaviors were studied using a GC-MS method. Results showed first order dependence in the rate of valproic acid release as a function of drug concentrations in the titania ceramic device. A marked dependence on the surface area and pore size distribution with drug loading was also observed. This research opens new possibilities for the design of novel time-delayed controlled release systems for valproic acid encapsulates.  相似文献

We describe a method for precisely measuring the solubility of proteins in aqueous solution using laser confocal differential interference contrast microscopy. The method is based on the in situ observation of single steps on a protein crystal surface which allows a fast and precise determination of solubility as a function of temperature. To demonstrate the effectiveness of this novel approach the solubility dependence on temperature of glucose isomerase and hen egg white lysozyme was determined with a precision of ±0.5 °C or smaller. It was found that a small amount of impurities did not significantly change the obtained solubility data. Numerical values for enthalpies and entropies of crystallization were calculated and they compare well to previously reported values but the experimental errors were significantly reduced.  相似文献

It is shown that the F 4 rational and trigonometric integrable systems are exactly solvable for arbitrary values of the coupling constants. Their spectra are found explicitly while eigenfunctions are obtained by pure algebraic means. For both systems new variables are introduced in which the Hamiltonian has an algebraic form being also (block)-triangular. These variables are a certain invariants of the F 4 Weyl group. Both Hamiltonians preserve the same (minimal) flag of spaces of polynomials, which is found explicitly.  相似文献

Sol-Gel Hydrotalcites were synthesized using magnesium ethoxide and variable aluminum sources: aluminum acetilacetonate, aluminum chloride, aluminum nitrate and aluminum sulfate; in all cases, the gelation was done at pH 10. X-ray diffraction studies show that the crystallinity depends on the aluminum precursor used. The crystallinity was found in the order aluminum acetylcetonate>aluminum chloride>aluminum nitrate>aluminum sulfate. The precursor determines the sintering behavior as well.  相似文献
