A novel universal approach to cross-linking of protein macromolecules on the surface of magnetite nanoparticles has been developed. The approach is based on protein liability to free-radical modification, leading to the formation of intermolecular covalent cross-links. Free radicals are locally generated on the surface of nanoparticles. Stable coatings of serum albumin 3 nm thick are formed on the surface of magnetite nanoparticles. Using a set of physicochemical methods, it has been proven that stable coatings composed of protein macromolecules are formed around individual nanoparticles. The presence of reactive groups in the protein structure makes it possible to perform subsequent modification of the surface layers-in particular, to graft nonprotein drugs. The approach developed can be used to create superfine systems with desired surface properties for targeted delivery of drugs and biologically active substances. 相似文献

The impact of graphite nanoslabs on thermal oxidation of polyethylene is studied via the methods of dynamic thermogravimetry and isothermal oxidation. Graphite nanoslabs are shown to exert an inhibiting effect on thermal oxidation of polyethylene, which leads to an increase in the induction period and in the oxygen-absorption rate. That there is an abnormal effect of the nanofiller content on the resistance to thermal oxidative destruction of composites, mainly for diffusion reasons, is established as well. 相似文献

We introduce a low refractive index layer between the metal and the gain medium in metal-coated laser resonators and demonstrate that it can significantly reduce the dissipation losses. Analysis of a gain medium waveguide shows that for a given waveguide radius, the low index layer has an optimal thickness for which the lasing threshold gain is minimal. The waveguide analysis is used for the design of a novel three-dimensional cylindrical resonator that is smaller than the vacuum wavelength in all three dimensions and exhibits a low enough threshold gain to lase at room temperature. 相似文献
