Measurement of the transport of water with respect to the second solvent component in a binary aqueous mixture gives the Washburn number, $ w_{\text{W}} = (n_{\text{W}} )_{ + } t_{ + } - (n_{\text{W}} )_{ - } t_{ - } $ , in a transport number determination, where the ions move in opposite directions, and give the Erdey–Grúz number, $ \Upsigma n_{\text{W}} = (n_{\text{W}} )_{ + } + (n_{\text{W}} )_{ - } $ , in a diffusion experiment, where the ions move in the same direction. Here n W and t are the number of water molecules and transport number, respectively, of the anion or cation. Combination of the results of these two experiments allows unambiguous determination of values for the solvent transport numbers, $ n_{\text{W}} $ , of the individual ions. While the values of $ n_{\text{W}} $ depend on the cosolvent, at high dilutions of the second component the highest value of $ n_{\text{W}} $ found, $ N_{\text{W}} $ , should approach the number of water molecules transported by the ion in pure water, $ N_{\text{W}}^{0} $ . New data for alkali-metal, alkaline-earth metal, hydrogen and halide ions in dilute mixtures of t-butyl alcohol with water are presented. Values of $ N_{\text{W}} $ rounded to whole numbers thus found are: 12 (Li+), 10 (Na+), 6 (K+), 5 (Rb+), 5 (Cs+), 1 (H+), 13 (Ca2+), 16 (Sr2+) and 15 (Ba2+). Factors influencing preferential solvation are briefly discussed. Detailed recalculations of $ n_{\text{W}} $ in the raffinose–water system from literature data also allows resolution of a problem with the Onsager Relations.  相似文献

Salt effects on the kinetics of acid hydrolysis of some novel hydrophilic iron(II) complexes have been investigated in aqueous medium. The ligands are derived from the condensation of amino acids (glycine, L-alanine, L-leucine, L-isoleucine, DL-methionine, DL-serine or L-phenylalanine) and sodium 2-hydroxybenzaldehyde-5-sulfonate. The reaction was studied under conditions of pseudo first order kinetics. The general rate equation was suggested as follows: rate = k obs[complex], where k obs = k 2[H+]. The reaction rate decreases with an increase of the salt concentration.  相似文献

Salt effects on the reactivity of base hydrolysis of Fe(II) chelates [naphthylideneisoleucinate (nili), naphthylideneleucinate (nli), naphthylideneserinate (nsi), salicylideneisoleucinate (sili), salicylideneleucinate (sli), salicylidenemethioninate (smi), and salicylidenetryptophanate (sti)] have been investigated in aqueous media containing alkali metal halides and tetra‐n‐butylammonium bromide (TBAB). NaCl and NaBr exhibited different reactivity trends from those of KBr and TBAB. The observed patterns vary markedly with complex hydrophobicity. Generally, the presence of the salt markedly enhances the rate compared to its absence. This behavior agrees with the anionic nature of the transient species. With increasing added NaCl and NaBr, the rate of the reaction decreases. The rate decreases and then increases on increasing the concentration of KBr and TBAB. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The kinetics and mechanism of the reaction of hydrogen peroxide with some Fe(II) Schiff base complexes were investigated spectrophotometrically in aqueous solution at pH 8 and 35 degrees C under pseudo-first-order conditions. The used ligands were derived from salicylaldehyde or o-hydroxynaphthaldehyde and some amino acids (l-leucine, l-iso-leucine, l-serine, l-methionine and dl-tryptophan). It was found that the formation of the purple interaperoxo complex appears only above pH 7.5. The reaction consists of two steps. The first step involves reversible formation of the intraperoxo intermediate which renders irreversible at pH 8. The second step consists of inner-sphere electron transfer. The suggested scheme illustrated first-order kinetics at low [H(2)O(2)] and zero-order at high [H(2)O(2)]. Moreover, the activation parameters of the reaction were evaluated.  相似文献

In this work, simple, reliable, eco-friendly, and quantitative electrochemical sensors were developed to detect chlorhexidine Digluconate (CHX) in a variety of dosage forms, including mouthwashes and intimate douches, as well as chlorhexidine in spiked human saliva. Without any sample pre-treatment or extraction processes, CHX was measured in colored aqueous formulations. Based on carbon screen-printed electrodes, two potentiometric sensors (sensors I and II), utilizing graphene nanocomposites (Gr-NC), were designed (SPEs). An ionophore, 2-hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin, was doped into the Poly Vinyl Chloride (PVC) polymeric membrane to improve sensor selectivity.  相似文献

A simple protocol for the preparation of functionalized allylic amines under mild, transition-metal-free conditions from the reaction of Morita–Baylis–Hillman (MBH) bromides with amines is described herein. The treatment of the MBH bromides with various amines in the presence of NaI and Et3N in aqueous acetone solution and at room temperature affords the corresponding functionalized allyl amines in moderate to good yields (45–87%). The reaction is rapid and carried out at room temperature.  相似文献

An organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite (C4H9NH3)4Pb3I4Br6 was synthesized and studied by X-ray diffraction, Raman and infrared spectroscopies, optical transmission and photoluminescence. The title compound, abbreviated (C4)4Pb3I4Br6, crystallises in a periodic two-dimensional multilayer structure with P21/a space group. The structure is built up from alternating inorganic and organic layers. Each inorganic layer consists of three sheets of PbX6 (X=I, Br) octahedra. Raman and infrared spectra of the title compound were recorded in the 100-3500 and 400-4000 cm−1 frequency ranges, respectively. An assignment of the observed vibration modes is reported. Optical transmission measurements, performed on thin films of (C4)4Pb3I4Br6, revealed two absorption bands at 474 and 508 nm. Photoluminescence measurements have shown a green emission peak at 519 nm.  相似文献

A simple and efficient procedure is described for the electrochemical determination of ledipasvir (LDP) in presence of co‐formulated drug sofosbuvir (SOF). Herein, a highly sensitive, low‐cost electrochemical protocol was utilized to fabricate a zeolite modified carbon paste electrode (ZY/CPE) through mixing of zeolite nanostructures with graphite powder. The fabricated sensor displayed high sensitivity, allowing optimal charge transfer/electrode kinetics. Different experimental and chemical factors, including electrode composition, effect of pH, scan rate and amount of ZY were evaluated carefully to obtain the highest electrochemical response. Under optimized conditions and using square wave voltammetry (SWV), the current response of the ZY/CPE electrochemical sensing platform exhibited a detection limit of 7.5×10?9 M and a large linear range from 5.0×10?8 to 1.0×10?4 M. The practical applicability of the suggested electrochemical platform was verified in the assessment of LDP in pharmaceutical formulations with excellent recoveries in the range of 99.50–98.87 %. Moreover, a biological relevance of the developed sensor was established by the analysis of LDP in human urine and plasma samples with satisfactory recoveries of 99.00 and 99.68 %, respectively. Due to the simplicity and ease of preparation of the proposed sensor, it can be used in quality control laboratories and for clinical analysis.  相似文献
