Copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition polymerization (CuAACP) of AB2 monomers demonstrated a chain-growth mechanism without any external ligand because of the complexation of in situ formed triazole groups with Cu catalysts. In this study, we explored the use of various ligands that affected the polymerization kinetics to tune the polymers’ molecular weights and the degree of branching (DB). Eight ligands were studied, including polyethylene glycol monomethyl ether (PEG350, Mn = 350), tris(benzyltriazolylmethyl)amine (TBTA), 2,6-bis(1-undecyl-1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)pyridine (Py(DBim)2), 2,2′-bipyridyl (bpy), 4,4′-di-n-nonyl-2,2′-bipyridine (dNbpy), N,N,N′,N″,N″-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine (PMDETA), N,N,N′,N″,N″-penta(n-butyl)diethylenetriamine (PBuDETA), and N,N,N′,N″,N″-pentabenzyldiethylenetriamine (PBnDETA). All ligands except PEG350 exhibited stronger coordination with Cu(I) than the polytriazole polymer, which freed the Cu catalyst from polymers and resulted in dominant step-growth polymerization with simultaneous chain-growth feature. Meanwhile, the use of PEG350 ligand retained the confined Cu in the polymer, demonstrating a chain-growth mechanism, but lower polymer molecular weights as compared with the no-external-ligand polymerization. Results indicated that aliphatic substituent groups on ligands had little effect on the molecular weights and DB of the polymers, but rigid aromatic substituent groups decreased both values. By varying the ligand species and amounts, hyperbranched polymers with DB value ranging from 0.53 ([TBTA]0/[Cu]0 = 5) to 0.98 ([PMDETA]0/[Cu]0 = 2) have been achieved. © 2018 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Hydrophobic association hydrogels were fabricated via micellar copolymerization of acrylamide and hydrophobic monomers lauryl (meth)acrylate (LA or LMA) in an aqueous solution of sodium dodecyl sulfate. The effect of methyl groups of hydrophobic monomers on the crosslinking network structure and mechanical behavior of the gels was investigated on the basis of rubber elastic theory. It was found that the LMA-gel exhibited higher effective crosslink density and elastic modulus. The methyl groups of hydrophobic monomers limited the flexibility of the methacrylate backbone in the association domain, which resulted in the increment of chains constraints. With the increase of stretch rate, the dissipated energy of LMA-gel increased more highly than that of LA-gel. In addition, the methyl group hindered the movement of polymer chains, leading to the lower recovery efficiency of dissipated energy for LMA-gel. In contract, the LA-gel exhibited a rapid response to external force, and possessed better elasticity and self-recovery property. © 2018 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. Sci., Part B: Polym. Catalytic allylic γ‐substitution with Morita‐Baylis‐Hillman (MBH) adducts for creating a new family of unsymmetrical dicarbonyl compounds was presented in this work, in which a variety of allylated amide products were achieved in good yields and high regioselectivity with excellent linear‐to‐branched ratios. Especially, it was found that the Pd/HZNU‐Phos complex exhibited remarkably high activity (with a TON up to 16800) in this transformation between dicarbonyl amides and MBH adducts. In addition, the possibly multisite interaction between multifunctional Pd/HZNU‐Phos catalyst system and substrates might responsible for its exceptionally high efficiency in this reaction.  相似文献

A novel fluorescent probe was developed for formaldehyde, which can be synthesized by one-step Buchwald–Hartwig reaction. When hydrazino-group of probe reacted with formaldehyde, hydrophobic reaction product aggregates into nanoparticles and results in the blue fluorescence due to the monomer-excimer effect. With enough sensitivity, high selectivity, good stability in physiological pH range and excellent biocompatibility, this probe can image formaldehyde in living cells.  相似文献

A novel direct alkylation of thiophenes via bis-coupling with vinyl acetates has been developed. To the best of our knowledge, this represents the first report of the iron-catalysed coupling of two thiophenes with vinyl groups. Utilizing earth-abundant, inexpensive, and non-toxic iron catalysts, this methodology converts simple thiophenes to symmetrical dithienylethane derivatives under mild conditions in one step.  相似文献

The interior microstructures of polyacrylonitrile nascent fibers is studied by the scanning electronic microscopy and the high-resolution transmission electron microscopy through ultrasonic etching and ultrathin sectioning. Due to the orientation and fold of molecular chains, the lamellae of 50–80 nm in thickness are formed. A high number of pores, ranging from dozens to two hundred nanometers in diameters exist between the lamellae, which result from residual solvent. The fibril structure is formed in the nascent fiber during the coagulation process, which are oriented along the fiber axis. An uneven tensile stress distribution leads to the formation of skin-core structures in the nascent fiber during the dry-jet wet spinning process.  相似文献

Using all-atom molecular dynamics (MD) simulations, we have investigated the adsorption stability and conformation change of different proteins on the surface of pristine graphene (PG) and graphene oxide (GO). We find that: (ⅰ) with the cooperation of the electrostatic interactions between proteins and oxygen-containing groups, GO shows better adsorption stability than PG; (ⅱ) the peptide loses its secondary structure on both PG and GO surface, and the α-helix structure of the protein fragment is partially broken on PG surface, but is well preserved on GO surface, while the secondary structure of globular protein has no distinct change on both PG and GO surface. In general, GO presents better biocompatibility than PG. Our results are of significant importance to understand the interactions between proteins and PG/GO and the applications of PG/GO in biotechnology and biomedicine.  相似文献

Electronically non-adiabatic processes are essential parts of photochemical process, collisions of excited species, electron transfer processes, and quantum information processing. Various non-adiabatic dynamics methods and their numerical implementation have been developed in the last decades. This review summarizes the most significant development of mixed quantum-classical methods and their applications which mainly include the Liouville equation, Ehrenfest mean-field, trajectory surface hopping, and multiple spawning methods. The recently developed quantum trajectory mean-field method that accounts for the decoherence corrections in a parameter-free fashion is discussed in more detail.  相似文献
