Multifractal analysis of the Yellow River flows

This paper deals with time series of the Yellow River daily flows at Tongguan hydrological station, from the year 2000 to 2005. Power spectrum analysis and statistical moment scaling function on a range of scales revealed scaling qualities of the data. The partition function, which displayed a convex curvature, and the generalized dimension function showed that multifractality is presented. The singularity spectrum, which is single-humped, has shown strong multifractality degree.     

锆对低温液相合成甲醇Cu-Cr催化剂性能的影响

Cu-Cr and Cu-Cr-Zr catalysts for the low temperature methanol synthesis slurry phase, with the surface area of 77.9 and 113.2 m2/g respectively, were prepared by the co precipitation approach. The activity and selectivity of these catalysts were evaluated in a stainless steel autoclave at 5.5 MPa and at different temperatures of 383 and 423 K separately. It was found that the activity of Cu-Cr-Zr catalyst was obviously higher than that of Cu-Cr catalyst, whereas the methanol selectivity of Cu-Cr-Zr catalyst was a little lower. The concentration of sodium compounds in the solution after reaction was also measured. The results showed that the concentration of sodium formate after reaction is much lower than that before reaction, which is quite different from the observations from the Cu-Cr catalyst previously. This implies that the conversion of sodium methoxide to sodium formate has been completely suppressed in the presence of zirconia in Cu-Cr-Zr catalyst. This finding is more beneficial to improve the performance of Cu-Cr catalyst and to increase the life of catalyst system as well.     

Magnetic properties of mixed Ising system with random field

A spin-1/2 and spin-3/2 mixed Ising system in a random field is studied by the use of effective-field theory with correlations. The phase diagrams and thermal behaviours of magnetizations are investigated numerically for the honeycomb lattice (z=3) and square lattice (z=4) respectively. The tricritical behaviours for both honeycomb and square lattices, as well as the reentrant behaviour for the square lattice are found.

Synthesis of Hexamine Ligands by Using Trityl as an N-Blocking Group

The amino-groups of diethylenetriamine were regioselectively protected by trityl groups and then reacted with dihalogenated alkylane to give the terminal N-blocked hexamine derivatives, from which a series of hexamine ligands (5 _a-f) were obtained by removing the trityl groups with 5.0 M HCl solution. Alternatively, the hexamine ligands could be also prepared via amidation and reduction reactions. The synthetic routes described here are mild, efficient and easy to handle.     

Knockout reaction mechanism studied by 6He projectile

Knockout reaction experiment was carried out by using the ⁶He beams at 61.2 MeV/u impinging on a CH₂ target. The α core fragments at forward angles were detected in coincidence with the recoiled protons at larger angles. From this exclusive measurement the valence nucleon knockout mechanism and the core knockout mechanism can be distinguished by the relation between the polar angles of the core fragments and the recoiled protons, respectively. It is demonstrated that the core knockout mechanism may result in some strong contamination to the real invariant mass spectrum.

     

THE PHOTOTOXICITY OF 2,5-DIPHENYLOXAZOLE (POP) AND 1,4-BIS(5-PHENYLOXAZOL-2-YL)BENZENE (POPOP)

Abstract 2,5-Diphenyloxazole (POP) is widely used for the determination of radioactivity by scintillation counting. It has been found to be phototoxic to the yeasts Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Candida utilis , to the first instar larvae of the mosquito Aedes aegypti , to the crustaceans Daphnia magna and Artemia salida , as well as to the eggs of Drosophila melanogaster . The related molecule 1,4-bis(5-phenyloxazol-2-yl)benzene (POPOP) is also phototoxic, but to a lesser degree. Both POP and POPOP can sensitize the formation of singlet oxygen.     

两交错排列弹性管的流致振动特性研究

为了深入研究反应堆结构中诸如燃料棒、蒸汽发生器传热管束等的流致振动问题,利用有限体积法离散大涡模拟的流体控制方程,利用有限元方法离散结构动力学方程,并结合动网格技术建立了模拟双向流固耦合作用的三维数值模型,实现了弹性管与弹性管之间以及弹性管与湍流流场之间的交互作用。利用该模型分别研究了节径比P/D为1.2、1.6、2.0、3.0、4.0的两交错排列弹性管在横向湍流作用下的振动响应及流场特性。通过分析发现:两交错排列弹性管的运动轨迹和尾涡结构与其间距、流速密切相关;两交错管的临界节径比为2.0;P/D=3.0时双管的临界流速Upr=2.2,P/D=1.6时双管的临界流速Upr=4.0。
