As the surface polaritons are excited in Kretschmann configuration with a Kerr-type substrate, the nonlinear Goos-Hänchen (GH) shifts exhibit the optically hysteretic response to the intensity of incident light. Metal nanocluster composite glass prepared by 180 keV Cu ions into silica with dose of 1 × 1017 ions/cm2 has been studied. The microstructural properties of the nanoclusters were analysed by optical absorption spectra and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Third-order nonlinear optical properties of the nanoclusters were measured at 1064 nm and 532 nm excitations using Z-scan technique. The nonlinear refraction index, nonlinear absorption coefficient, and the real and imaginary parts of the third-order nonlinear susceptibility were deduced. The mechanisms responsible for the nonlinear response were discussed. Absolute third-order nonlinear susceptibility χ(3) of this kind of sample was determined to be 2.1 × 10−7 esu at 532 nm and 1.2 × 10−7 esu at 1064 nm, respectively.  相似文献

Bias-dependent features of the insulating NaCl layer grown on Cu(001) have been investigated by scanning tunneling microscopy/spectroscopy (STM/STS). The apparent layer thickness of the NaCl film is variable at bias voltages ranging from 2.8 to 3.2 V as well as from 4.0 to 5.0 V, and the Moiré pattern induced by NaCl–Cu lattice mismatch also shows bias dependence. The z–V (dz/dV–V) curves and dI/dV mapping measurements reveal that the resonant tunneling between the image potential states (IPSs) on Cu(001) and the Fermi level of the STM tip leads to drastic variations of these features.  相似文献

We use low-coherence interferometry to measure the group-velocity dispersion (GVD) of the fast and slow Bloch modes of structural rocking filters, produced by twisting a highly birefringent photonic crystal fiber to and fro while scanning a focused CO(2) laser beam along it. The GVD curves in the vicinity of the resonant wavelength differ dramatically from those of the unperturbed fiber, suggesting that rocking filters could be used in the optimization of, e.g., four-wave mixing and supercontinuum generation. Excellent agreement is obtained between theory and experiment.  相似文献

By incorporating the expectation–maximization algorithm into the considered model, the iterative weighted least square estimators for quantile regression parameters and autoregressive parameters are derived. 对液体冷媒融霜系统的回液时间进行实验研究。在保温体温度-15℃工况下分别对回液时间7s、27s、25s、30s、40s、50s进行实验,记录并分析被融霜蒸发器融霜前和回液时间内压缩机吸气口的温度和压力变化,相机拍摄制冷压缩机吸气口和机身的结霜状况。实验表明:回液时间7s时,压缩机吸气过潮,回液时间在27s左右可以避免压缩机吸气过潮,确保系统安全正常的运行,大于27s被融霜蒸发器恢复制冷时间过长将影响库房温度的稳定并降低制冷系统的效率。  相似文献

We investigate the Goos–Hänchen (GH) shifts of reflected light from Kerr-like slabs, whose permittivities are inhomogeneous in space as well as light intensity dependent. The GH shifts exhibit bistable, multivalued properties or a more complicated hysteretic response to the input light intensity, and the different spatial dependences of the permittivity have a great effect on the hysteretic response. The bistable or multivalued GH shifts can be modulated by various parameters, such as the angle of incidence and the thickness of slab.  相似文献

Chiral assembly and asymmetric synthesis are critically important for the generation of chiral metal clusters with chiroptical activities. Here, a racemic mixture of [K(CH3OH)2(18‐crown‐6)]+[Cu5(StBu)6]? ( 1?CH3OH ) in the chiral space group was prepared, in which the chiral red‐emissive anionic [Cu5(StBu)6]? cluster was arranged along a twofold screw axis. Interestingly, the release of the coordinated CH3OH of the cationic units turned the chiral 1?CH3OH crystal into a mesomeric crystal [K(18‐crown‐6)]+[Cu5(StBu)6]? ( 1 ), which has a centrosymmetric space group, by adding symmetry elements of glide and mirror planes through both disordered [Cu5(StBu)6]? units. The switchable chiral/achiral rearrangement of [Cu5(StBu)6]? clusters along with the capture/release of CH3OH were concomitant with an intense increase/decrease in luminescence. We also used cationic chiral amino alcohols to induce the chiral assembly of a pair of enantiomers, [d /l ‐valinol(18‐crown‐6)]+[Cu5(StBu)6]? ( d /l ‐Cu5V ), which display impressive circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) in contrast to the CPL‐silent racemic mixture of 1?CH3OH and mesomeric 1 .  相似文献
