Two new sesquiterpene lactones with the sulfonic acid group from Saussurea lappa

Two new sesquiterpene lactones with the unusual sulfonic acid group, 13-sulfo-dihydrosantamarine (1) and 13-sulfo-dihydroreynosin (2), have been isolated from the roots of Saussurea lappa C. Their structures, including the absolute configurations, were elucidated by spectroscopic methods.     

Chromatographic Features and Molecular Recognition Mechanism of a Strychnine Monolithic Molecularly Imprinted Polymer

A monolithic molecularly imprinted polymer (mMIP) with specific recognition ability for strychnine was prepared by in-situ polymerization, using methacrylic acid (MAA) as a functional monomer, ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EDMA) as a cross-linking agent, toluene and dodecanol as porogenic solvents and 2, 2’-azobisisobutyronitrile (AIBN) as a initiator. Scanning electron microscopy and mercury intrusion porosimetry were used to identify the structural features of the mMIP. The results show that there were three kinds of pore structures. The large through-pore structure allows mobile phase to flow through a column of mMIP with a low back pressure and the other pores lead to the molecular recognition. Some chromatographic conditions such as the pH and the composition of the mobile phase were characterized. Strychnine was separated from compounds such as indole, quinine and brucine. The possible recognition mechanisms were ionic and hydrogen bonding interactions between the strychnine molecule and the mMIP.     

8-Arylpurines and their ultraviolet absorption spectra

Dehydrocyclization of 4-amino-5-arylamidopyrimidines in polyphosphoric acid to 8-arylpurines was further investigated. Various other 8-arylpurines were synthesized by this new procedure in high purity and yield. The ultraviolet absorption spectra of the arylpurines and the corresponding acylamidopyrimidines were measured at pH 1, 7, and 13 at 0.1 molar ionic strength. The spectra of the purines resemble those of the corresponding acylamidopyrimidines and, to a lesser extent, the corresponding 4,5-diaminopyrimidines. The bathochromic shifts caused by different substituting groups in monosubstituted purines, in general, parallel the inductive effect of the substituting groups. The hyperchromicity and the inductive constant of the substituting groups assume a linear relationship, for substitution at either the 2 or 6 position. These changes in the wave length of maximum absorption and in the molar extinction coefficient caused by 2, 6 and 8 substitutions of the purines reported here are in agreement with previous studies by Mason.

平菇多糖稀溶液行为的研究

平菇多糖属生物高分子, 文章对平菇多糖稀溶液性质进行了研究。实验系采用Elias浊点滴定法测定平菇多糖溶液的θ组成, 用快速动态膜渗透计和粘度法测定平菇多糖的数均分子量、维利系数与分子链的构型参数。探讨其在θ条件下的分子形态及用Tung函数法等处理分级数据, 从而获得平菇多糖的分子量分布。     

12-钼磷酸中水的存在状态及其热稳定性的质谱法研究

本文运用程序升温脱水-质谱计检测(TPD MS)和红外光谱测定(IR)法研究了12-钼磷酸(PMA)中水的存在状态及其热稳定性. 解迭了PMA的TPD MS谱, 发现PMA中存在有结合能量各异的7种水峰. 讨论了PMA中各种水的结合强度及其对Keggin结构稳定性的影响。     

Investigation on spontaneous ignition of two kinds of organic material with water

A systematic investigation was performed to elucidate the cause of spontaneous ignition of Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) and Meat Bone Meal (MBM). Heat generation in both RDF and MBM with addition of water liquid and vapor at room temperature was determined by isothermal calorimetry. Compared with water liquid, the heat of wetting by sorption of water vapor at 80% relative humidity and 25 °C was larger, which can raise the temperature of RDF and MBM more than 30 and 56 °C, respectively. Heat generation due to fermentation occurred and the temperature of RDF and MBM reached or exceeded 80 °C after 5 days for RDF and 4 days for MBM at 100% RH. The spontaneous ignition for RDF and MBM results from heat of wetting and fermentation at room temperature and a further exothermic reaction at higher temperature.     

Ab initio studies on the IRC and rate constant of the reaction between acetylene and the hydrogen atom

The geometries of the reactant, product, and transition state of the reaction between acetylene and the hydrogen atom have been optimized at the level of HF /6-31G using the energy gradient method. The barrier height for this reaction was calculated to be 105.9 kJ/mol with a zero-point energy correction and elimination of spin contamination. The intrinsic reaction coordinate (IRC ) for this reaction was traced and the coupling between the IRC and normal modes was analyzed along the IRC . The variational transition-state theory with the correction of the tunnel effect has been used to evaluate the reaction rate constant. It is in good agreement with an experimental estimate. © 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
