Reaction of [(PPh(2)═NSiMe(3))(PPh(2)═S)CSn:](2) (1) with elemental sulfur in toluene afforded [{(μ-S)Sn(IV)C(PPh(2)═NSiMe(3))(PPh(2)═S)}(3)Sn(II)(μ(3)-S)] (2) and [CH(2)(PPh(2)═NSiMe(3))(PPh(2)═S)] (3). Compound 2 comprises a Sn(II)S moiety coordinated with the Sn(IV) and S atoms of a trimeric 2-stannathiomethendiide {(PPh(2)═NSiMe(3))(PPh(2)═S)CSn(μ-S)}(3). Compound 2 has been characterized by NMR spectroscopy, (119)Sn M?ssbauer studies, X-ray crystallography, and theoretical studies. (119)Sn NMR spectroscopy and M?ssbauer studies show the presence of Sn(IV) and Sn(II) atoms in 2. X-ray crystallography suggests that the Sn(II)S moiety does not have multiple bond character. Theoretical studies illustrate that the C(methanediide)-Sn bonds comprise a lone pair orbital on each C(methanediide) atom and an C-Sn occupied σ orbital.  相似文献

Here, we give an overview of the small molecule hydration portion of the SAMPL4 challenge, which focused on predicting hydration free energies for a series of 47 small molecules. These gas-to-water transfer free energies have in the past proven a valuable test of a variety of computational methods and force fields. Here, in contrast to some previous SAMPL challenges, we find a relatively wide range of methods perform quite well on this test set, with RMS errors in the 1.2 kcal/mol range for several of the best performing methods. Top-performers included a quantum mechanical approach with continuum solvent models and functional group corrections, alchemical molecular dynamics simulations with a classical all-atom force field, and a single-conformation Poisson–Boltzmann approach. While 1.2 kcal/mol is still a significant error, experimental hydration free energies covered a range of nearly 20 kcal/mol, so methods typically showed substantial predictive power. Here, a substantial new focus was on evaluation of error estimates, as predicting when a computational prediction is reliable versus unreliable has considerable practical value. We found, however, that in many cases errors are substantially underestimated, and that typically little effort has been invested in estimating likely error. Paclitaxel is one of the chemotheraputic drugs widely used for the treatment of nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients. Here, we tested the ability of α-tocopheryl succinate (TOS), another promising anticancer agent, to enhance the paclitaxel response in NSCLC cells. We found that sub-apoptotic doses of TOS greatly enhanced paclitaxel-induced growth suppression and apoptosis in the human H460 NSCLC cell lines. Our data revealed that this was accounted for primarily by an augmented cleavage of poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP) and enhanced activation of caspase-8. Pretreatment with z-VAD-FMK (a pan-caspase inhibitor) or z-IETD-FMK (a caspase-8 inhibitor) blocked TOS/paclitaxel cotreatment-induced PARP cleavage and apoptosis, suggesting that TOS potentiates the paclitaxel-induced apoptosis through enforced caspase 8 activation in H460 cells. Furthermore, the growth suppression effect of TOS/paclitaxel combination on human H460, A549 and H358 NSCLC cell lines were synergistic. Our observations indicate that combination of paclitaxel and TOS may offer a novel therapeutic strategy for improving paclitaxel drug efficacy in NSCLC patient therapy as well as for potentially lowering the toxic side effects of paclitaxel through reduced drug dosage.  相似文献

Single electron transfer (SET)-promoted photoaddition reactions between fullerene C60 and both various alkyl (Me, Et, i-Pr, t-Bu)- and para-substituted (p-Me, p-OMe, p-F, p-CF3) arene ring containing, N-α-trimethylsilyl-N-alkyl-N-benzylamines were explored to gain information about photoproduct profiles and how the electronic and steric nature of the amine substrates influence reaction efficiencies. The results show that visible light (λ > 540 nm) irradiation of 10% EtOH-toluene solutions containing C60 and N-α-trimethylsilyl-N-alkyl-N-benzylamines produce 1-aminomethyl-1,2-dihydrofullerenes as a sole photoproduct. In addition, SET-promoted photoaddition reactions of unsubstituted and para-electron donating group substituted arene ring containing N-α-trimethylsilyl-N-alkyl-N-benzylamines take place to give photoproducts more efficiently than those containing para-electron withdrawing group substituted arene rings. Moreover, although steric factors are less significant than the electronic nature of the amine substrates in governing reaction efficiencies, sterics do play a significant role in photoreactions of electron deficient amine substrates.  相似文献

New approaches to veterinary drug screening based on liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) and time-of-flight mass spectrometry (ToF/MS) are rapid and have high selectivity and sensitivity. In this study, we developed a multiresidue method for screening over 100 veterinary drug residues using ion trap (IT)-ToF/MS. The screened compounds comprised major drug classes used in veterinary practice, representing the following: amphenicols, anthelmintics, benzimidazoles, β-lactams, coccidiostats, ionophores, macrolides, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, quinolones, sulfonamides, tetracyclines, and tranquilizers. The method was developed based on chromatographic retention time, specific accurate mass, isotope distribution, and fragment data. Each compound was validated at three levels, and the mass accuracy, accuracy, and repeatability were calculated. All parameters showed acceptable values and conformed to the Commission Decision 2002/657/EC criteria. This screening method can simultaneously analyze over 100 veterinary drugs in meat, milk, eggs, and fish in a single analytical run.  相似文献

We have investigated the structural transformation of fluorinated singlewalled nanotubes (SWNTs) induced by electron-beam irradiation during the transmission electron microscope observations. Heavily fluorinated SWNT bundles were systematically transformed into multiwall-like nanotubes by releasing fluorine atoms during electron-beam irradiation and even broken into two pieces of the capped graphitic structures. Such structural transformations at relatively low kinetic energy (< or = 300 keV) could be explained by the local strains induced by fluorination, where C-C bonds that were fluorine-attached became 1.53 A, a single bond similar to that of a diamond, from our density functional calculations. We propose a possible concerted pathway for the structural transformation of fluorinated SWNTs induced by electron-beam irradiation based on the experimental observations.  相似文献

We report the effect of CaO buffer layers on the structural properties of sputter-grown ZnO thin films. X-ray diffraction patterns indicated that enhanced crystallinity and alleviated compressive strain in the ZnO thin film were achieved by inserting a very thin CaO buffer layer between ZnO and the sapphire substrate. The interface was investigated by high-resolution transmission electron microscopy, and the result showed that the growth of CaO on the sapphire substrate follows the Stranski–Kristanov mode. The mechanism for the control of crystallinity and strain in the ZnO thin film was discussed, and was found to be strongly related to the growth mode of the CaO buffer layer.  相似文献
