AN EFFECTIVE APPROACH FOR TWO-DIMENSIONAL POLARONS IN AN ASYMMETRIC QUANTUM DOT

Within the framework of Feynman-Haken path integral theory, we calculate the ground-state energy of two-dimensional polarons in asymmetric quantum dots for arbitrary electron-phonon coupling constants. From a general three-dimensional Hamiltonian, some interesting problems, such as polarons in quasi-one-dimensional quantum wires and quasi-zero-dimensional asymmetric or symmetric quantum dots can be easily discussed only by taking different limit in the whole coupling regime. After the numerical calculation, we find that the relative polaronic correction increases monotonically with the decrease of effective dot size, and it becomes more pronounced with increasing dimension and asymmetry. Moreover, despite the insensitivity of relative polaronic enhancement to the variation of coupling constant at weak coupling, the correction is related to the coupling constant as the latter becomes larger.     

Synergistic effect between 4-(2-pyridylazo) resorcin and chloride ion on the corrosion of cold rolled steel in 0.5 M sulfuric acid

The corrosion inhibition of 1-(2-pyridylazo)-2-naphthol (PAR) on the corrosion of cold rolled steel in 0.5 M sulfuric acid (H₂SO₄) was studied using weight loss method and potentiodynamic polarization method. Results obtained revealed that together with chloride ion, PAR is an effective corrosion inhibitor for steel corrosion in sulfuric acid. It was found that for steel corrosion inhibition in the presence of single PAR in sulfuric acid the Temkin adsorption isotherm may be used to explain the adsorption phenomenon. For the mixture of PAR and NaCl used as corrosion inhibitor, however, the Langmuir adsorption isotherm can be used to satisfactorily elucidate the adsorption of mixture of PAR and NaCl. Potentiodynamic polarization studies showed that single PAR mainly acts as a cathodic inhibitor for the corrosion of steel in 0.5 M sulfuric acid. The mixture of PAR and chloride ion, however, acts as a mixed type inhibitor that mainly inhibits cathodic reaction of the steel corrosion in sulfuric acid. By means of electrochemical polarization tests, a desorption potential at ca. −370 mV was observed for the adsorption of mixture of PAR and chloride ion, when potential reaches this value, adsorbed inhibitor molecule heavily departs from the steel surface. For the mixture of PAR and chloride ion, thermodynamic parameters such as adsorption heat, adsorption entropy and adsorption free energy were obtained from experimental data of the temperature studies of the inhibition process at four temperatures ranging from 30 to 45 °C, the kinetic data such as apparent activation energies and pre-exponential factors at different concentrations of the inhibitor were calculated, and the effect of the apparent activation energies and pre-exponential factors on the corrosion rates of cold rolled steel was discussed. The most suitable range of inhibitor concentration was discussed. The inhibitive action was satisfactorily explained by using both thermodynamic and kinetic models. Synergism between chloride ion and PAR was proposed. The results obtained from weight loss and potentiodynamic polarization were in good agreement.     

An experimental investigation of high permittivity dielectric resonators for millimeter-wave microstrip components

This paper proposes a new type of high permittivity whispering gallery mode cylindrical dielectric resonators with a geometry which is very suitable for use in microstrip type integrated circuits. These oversized resonators, together with high Q factors and ease of fabrication, are potentially interesting for millimeter wave integrated filters and oscillators. In this paper, we report an experimental investigation of such resonators carried out in Ka band (26.5–40 GHz). Measured results including resonant frequencies and loaded quality factors will be presented. Application to millimeter wave filters will also be demonstrated.     

一种新的乙酰胆碱酶电极的研究

本文制备了一种以溶剂聚合膜ＰＨ电极作原电极，经高碘酸钠活化的醋酸纤维膜固定乙酰胆碱酯酶的乙酰胆碱生物电极。研究了酶固定化条件的影响，测得静态和动力学条件下的线性中响应范围分别为２４０－１３００μｇ／ｍＬ和３００－１７００μｇ／ｍＬ将电极用于实际样品的回收率试验中，获得了满意的结果。     

ZnCuCoAlNO3型四元水滑石及其多氧阴离子柱撑物的合成与催化氧化性能

Anionic clay, ZnCuCoAlNO₃ and its polyoxometalate intercalates were synthesized, and were characterized by XRD, IR, ³¹PMAS NMR, DTA and elemental analysis. The pillared products are found to be effective catalysts for oxidation of cyclohexene with molecular oxygen under mild reaction conditions

Determination of terbutaline with ferrocene-gold colloid-1,4-benzenedimethanethiol layer-by-layer self-assembled gold electrode

Aminylferrocene is successfully immobilized on nanosized gold colloid particles associated with a 1,4-benzenedimethanethiol monolayer on a gold electrode surface and characterized by cyclic voltammograms and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. In a pH 7.0 phosphate buffer solution, the formal potential (E ⁰’) of Fc is 0.432 V (SCE), and the apparent surface electron-transfer rate constant is 0.89 s⁻. The immobilized Fc gives an excellent electrocatalytic response to the terbutaline oxidation. The catalytic-current response of differential pulse voltammograms increases linearly with the terbutaline concentration from 1.75 × 10⁻⁷ to 5.62 × 10⁻⁴ mol/l. The detection limit is 2.30 × 10⁻⁸ mol/l. The determination of terbutaline in a tablet dosage is satisfactory. The method is simple, quick, and sensitive.
