Synthesis and biological evaluation of a series of novel salicylanilides as inhibitors of EGFR protein tyrosine kinases

The synthesis and biological evaluation of two series of salicylanilide derivatives on the EGFR and ErbB-2 tyrosine kinases inhibitory activities were conducted.Of the tested compounds those having an additional aryl group substituted on the anilino ring were active on the EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibition(7a-c and 13a,13c,13d,13f).The inhibitory activities were all in the low micromolar or submicromolar range.In addition,compound 13a was found to have dual inhibitory activities both on EGFR and ErbB-2 tyrosine kinases(1.654±1.280 and 7.134±1.265μmol/L).     

Facile and efficient synthesis of 5,7-disubstituted thiazolo[5,4-d] pyrimidine-4,6(5H,7H)-diones

A facile and efficient approach was developed to access 5,7-disubstitued thiazolo[5,4-d]pyrimidine-4,6(5H,7H)-diones through condensation of N-substituted 5-amino-4-carbethoxythiazole with structurally diverse isocyanates in the presence of sodium hydride.The easy availability of substrates and tolerance of structural diversity in this reaction make it attractive to be used for construction of libraries in drug discovery process.     

Phase behavior of the orange essential oil/sodium bis(2-ethylhexyl)sulfosuccinate/water system

The ternary phase diagram for the orange essential oil (OEO)/sodium bis(2-ethylhexyl)sulfosuccinate (AOT)/water system was constructed at 25 °C. It indicates a large single phase region, comprising an isotropic water-in-oil (W/O) microemulsion (ME) phase (L₂), a liquid crystal (LC) (lamellar or hexagonal) and a large unstable emulsion phase that separates in two phases of normal and reverse micelles (L₁ and L₂). In this communication the properties of the ME are investigated by viscosity, electric conductivity and small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) indicating that the isotropic ME phase exhibits different behaviors depending on composition. At low water content low viscous “dry” surfactant structures are formed, whereas at higher water content higher viscous water droplets are formed. The experimental data allow the determination of the transition from “dry” to the water droplet structures within the L₂ phase. SAXS analyses have also been performed for selected LC samples.     

[Hmim]_3PW_(12)O_(40):A high-efficient and green catalyst for the acetalization of carbonyl compounds

<正>[Hmim]_3PW_(12)O_(40) was developed and used in the acetalization of carbonyl compounds in excellent yields.The ionic liquidheteropoly acid hybrid compound and reaction medium formed temperature-dependent phase-separation system with the ease of product as well as catalyst separation.The catalyst was recycled more than 10 times without any apparent loss of catalytic activity.     

Inactivation of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) by liposome-delivered photosensitising agents

The uptake of two photosensitising agents (hematoporphyrin and chlorophyll a) by a highly pathogenic bacterium, namely methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), has been studied by using unilamellar liposomes of different size, fluidity and electric charge as carriers. Optimal results are obtained by using hematoporphyrin embedded in fluid cationic vesicles composed by the monocationic lipid N-[1-(2,3-dioleoyloxy)propyl]-N,N,N-trimethylammonium methylsulfate (DOTAP), which yield an endocellular concentration of photosensitiser much higher than that obtained by incubation of the cells with the free porphyrin, yet promote a tighter binding and a more efficient photoinactivation of MRSA. Apparently, the photosensitiser is successfully transferred from the liposome to the bacterial cells when the presence of the tetrapyrrolic derivative does not appreciably perturb the native three-dimensional organisation of the lipid vesicle, such as it occurs with hematoporphyrin. On the other hand, chlorophyll, which causes a marked structural alteration of the DOTAP vesicles as shown by electron microscopy and fluorescence anisotropy measurements, does not show any detectable photocytotoxicity toward MRSA, contrary to what observed for the free dye.     

Differentiability of torsion theories

We prove that every perfect torsion theory for a ring R is differential (in the sense of [P.E. Bland, Differential torsion theory, Journal of Pure and Applied Algebra 204 (2006) 1–8]). In this case, we construct the extension of a derivation of a right R-module M to a derivation of the module of quotients of M. Then, we prove that the Lambek and Goldie torsion theories for any R are differential.     

具有然陷模的氧化铝光子晶体的光学传感性能

采用在周期性氧化电压信号中插入恒压波形的方法成功制备了具有缺陷模的一维氧化铝光子晶体. 这种晶体的透射光谱研究表明,缺陷的厚度对缺陷模的透过率具有显著影响,当缺陷厚度在180 nm时,光子禁带内部出现透过率为55%、半峰宽约为18 nm的缺陷模. 该缺陷模能够对进入到氧化铝孔道内部的液体物质做出响应,其位置与液体的折射率线性相关.     

Synthesis and biological evaluation of new pyrrolopyrazinone compounds as potential antitumor agents

A series of pyrrolo[1,2-a]pyrazinone compounds(5a-9f) were synthesized,and their cytotoxic activity against SKOV-3,A549.HeLa cells in vitro were evaluated by the MTT method.Some of the compounds showed potential antitumor activity against three tumor cell lines.Among them,compounds 9c and 9d showed the most potent cytotoxic activity.The preliminary mechanism of action was discussed.     

Chelatometric dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction followed by capillary electrophoresis for the analysis of total and water soluble copper in Rhizoma coptidis

A new method for the analysis of copper and its speciation in Rhizoma coptidis was proposed using chelatometric dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction(cDLLME) followed by capillary electrophoresis. Dithizone was used as a chelating agent for extraction and carbon tetrachloride and ethanol were used as extraction and dispersive solvent,respectively.The calibration curve was linear in the range of 0.5- 20.0μg/mL with a correlation coefficient of 0.9990(n = 6) and the average recovery was in the range of 88.26%-94.44%.The method was successfully used to determine the total and water soluble copper in Rhizoma coptidis herbal medicine.The results suggested that it would be reasonable to setting the criterion of heavy metals in an herbal medicine according to the dosage forms.
