Numerical analysis of the rotating viscous flow approaching a solid sphere

A numerical simulation is performed to investigate the flow induced by a sphere moving along the axis of a rotating cylindrical container filled with the viscous fluid. Three‐dimensional incompressible Navier–Stokes equations are solved using a finite element method. The objective of this study is to examine the feature of waves generated by the Coriolis force at moderate Rossby numbers and that to what extent the Taylor–Proudman theorem is valid for the viscous rotating flow at small Rossby number and large Reynolds number. Calculations have been undertaken at the Rossby numbers (R_o) of 1 and 0.02 and the Reynolds numbers (R_e) of 200 and 500. When R_o=O(1), inertia waves are exhibited in the rotating flow past a sphere. The effects of the Reynolds number and the ratio of the radius of the sphere and that of the rotating cylinder on the flow structure are examined. When R_o ? 1, as predicted by the Taylor–Proudman theorem for inviscid flow, the so‐called ‘Taylor column’ is also generated in the viscous fluid flow after an evolutionary course of vortical flow structures. The initial evolution and final formation of the ‘Taylor column’ are exhibited. According to the present calculation, it has been verified that major theoretical statement about the rotating flow of the inviscid fluid may still approximately predict the rotating flow structure of the viscous fluid in a certain regime of the Reynolds number. Solitary wave solutions and cnoidal wave solutions to the combined KdV and mKdV equation

This paper presents a mapping approach for the construction of exact solutions to the combined KdV and mKdV equation. There exist two types of soliton solutions which will reduce back to those of the KdV and mKdV equations in some appropriate limits. Four types of the general cnoidal wave solutions are also obtained.     

Three New Diarylpropanes from Dioscorea composita

Three new diarylpropanes were isolated from the dried rhizomes of Dioscorea composita Hemsl., and their structures were determined as 1, 3-bis-(2-hydroxy-4-methoxyphenyl) propane (1), 1, 3-bis-(2, 4-dihydroxyphenyl)propane (2), 1-(2′-hydroxy-4′-O-β-D- glucopymnosy-phenyl)-3-(2“, 4“-dihydroxyphenyl)propane (3), by spectroscopic analysis, respectively.     

Average Property of Isospin Effects Induced by Neutron-Halo Nuclei

We study the average property of the isospin effects of reaction mechanism induced by neutron-halo nuclei within the isospin-dependent quantum molecular dynamics model. We find that the extended neutron density distribution for the neutron-halo projectile brings an important isospin effect into the reaction mechanism, which induces the decrease of nuclear stopping R; however, it induces the obvious increases of the neutron-proton ratio of nucleon emissions （n/p）nucl for all of the beam energies in this work, compared to the same mass stable colliding system.

统计模拟分光光度法测定复方消咳新片组分含量

用统计模拟分光光度法测定复方消咳新片４个组分含量。按均匀设计表制备合成样品，绘制溶液的ＵＶ－ＶＩＳ吸收曲线，获得有限但足够的实验数据，用逐步回归法构造反映该复方制剂组分在灵敏波长的吸光度－组分含量经验关系的“最优”数学模型，用改进单纯形法寻优，求出未知样品的各组分含量。磺胺甲基异恶唑、甲氧苄胺嘧啶、盐酸溴已新、枸橼酸维静宁的回收率分别为１００３％、１００４％、９９９％、９９０％，标准差分别为０９１％、１４％、１２％、３９％。     

FTS-20E富里叶红外光谱仪数据系统改造

Synthesis of polypiperazine-amide thin-film membrane on PPESK hollow fiber UF membrane

A new interfacial polymerization (IP) procedure is developed in order to synthesize polypiperazine-amide thin-film membrane on the inner surface of poly(phthalazinone ether sulfone ketone) (PPESK) hollow fiber ultrafiltration (UF) membrane.A hollow fiber composite membrane with good performance was prepared and studied by FT-IR and scanning electron microscopy.
