We describe a new technique for double-quantum excitation in magic-angle-spinning NMR of powdered solids. The technique is designed to efficiently excite double-quantum coherence in the vicinity of a rotational resonance condition. The offset from rotational resonance allows the double-quantum filtered signals to be observed with high resolution and sensitivity. The method uses rotational excitation of zero-quantum coherence, assisted by radiofrequency pulse cycles. The zero-quantum coherence is converted into double-quantum coherence by a frequency-selective inversion sequence. Experiments on [(13)C(2), (15)N]-glycine demonstrate a double-quantum filtering efficiency of approximately 41% at a sample rotation frequency of 8.300 kHz, which is 1.600 kHz away from the n = 1 rotational resonance. We achieve 32% double-quantum filtering efficiency at a spinning frequency of 9.250 kHz, which is 2.550 kHz away from rotational resonance.  相似文献

The conventional type of magnetic well is formed by superposition of two types of magnetic field, axial bumpy field and radial multipole field. It is used to contain plasma that consists of neutrals, ions and electrons. These particles are in constant motion in the well and energetic electrons create plasma by violent collisions with neutrals and ions. The confined electrons are constantly heated by ECR technique in the presence of magnetic field. In this paper it has been shown theoretically that how the electron motion is influenced in terms of heating, containment and azimuthal uniformity of plasma, by the axial rotation of the multipole magnetic field [1,2]. Afterwards, the feasibility of achieving a rotating magnetic multipole field is discussed to some extent. And it is seen that it is not beyond the capability of the scientific community in the present scenario of the advanced technology. Presently, it can be achieved for lesser field and slightly larger size of the multipole electromagnet and can be used for improvement of the ECR ion source (ECRIS).  相似文献

The ionization potentials of alkyl and hydrogen halides are found to be excellent linear fractions of the polar and inductive substituent constants, indicating that the effect of alkyl substituents on the electron density of the halogen atoms is inductive. The slopes of the four regression lines vary widely in the order RF ? RCl > RBr > RI, which shows that the susceptibility of the halogen atoms to inductive effects varies in the same order. Solid-state 1H experiments were performed an open-cage fullerene hosting molecular hydrogen. The anisotropy of the molecular hydrogen rotation was studied by double-quantum magic-angle-spinning NMR.
