The fact that bitumens behave as non-Newtonian fluids results in non-linear relationships between their near-infrared (NIR) spectra and the physico-chemical properties that define their consistency (viz. penetration and viscosity). Determining such properties using linear calibration techniques [e.g. partial least-squares regression (PLSR)] entails the previous transformation of the original variables by use of non-linear functions and employing the transformed variables to construct the models. Other properties of bitumens such as density and composition exhibit linear relationships with their NIR spectra. Artificial neural networks (ANNs) enable modelling of systems with a non-linear property-spectrum relationship; also, they allow one to determine several properties of a sample with a single model, so they are effective alternatives to linear calibration methods. In this work, the ability of ANNs simultaneously to determine both linear and non-linear parameters for bitumens without the need previously to transform the original variables was assessed. The feasibility of comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography with electron-capture detection (GC x GC-ECD) for the enantioseparation of chiral PCBs from other possible interfering compounds has been evaluated. Three commercially available enantioselective beta-cyclodextrin-based capillary columns (Chirasil-Dex, BGB-172 and BGB-176SE) have been tested as first-dimension columns. Three non-enantioselective stationary phases (HT-8, BPX-50 and Supelcowax-10) were combined with the enantioselective columns to allow the unambiguous determination of the enantiomers of the target chiral PCBs. Each enantioselective first-dimension column tested was able to separate into enantiomers different PCB congeners, but in all cases, the use of Supelcowax-10 as second-dimension column provided the most satisfactory results. The Chirasil-Dex x Supelcowax-10 column combination allowed the determination of the enantiomeric fraction (EF) of PCBs 84, 91, 95, 132, 136, 149, 174 and 176 in the working standard solution, while that of congener 135 was hindered. The BGB-172 x Supelcowax-10 column set allowed a proper EF determination of congeners 45, 84, 131, 132, 135, 171, 174 and 183, while that of PCB 91 was interfered with co-elutants. The column combination BGB-176SE x Supelcowax-10 allowed the determination of all congeners that this enantioselective stationary phase was able to separate into enantiomers, i.e. PCBs 45, 91, 95, 136, 149 and 176. These column combinations have also been evaluated for the simultaneous determination of the 12 congeners with a toxic equivalency factor assigned by the WHO (PCBs 77, 81, 105, 114, 118, 123, 126, 156, 157, 167, 169, 189) and the seven indicator congeners (PCBs 28, 52, 101, 118, 138, 153 and 180), and evaluated for the analysis of food samples. 相似文献
From a 19F-NMR study of 9,11-dicis-12-fluororhodopsin and its photobleached product, we concluded that the initially formed chromophore retained its configuration and the photoproduct corresponded to the two-bond isomerized all-trans. Upon standing, it slowly isomerized to the 9-cis isomer. The method represents a direct, non-destructive procedure for determining configuration purity of the pigment formed. Its unique fluorine opsin shift value is consistent with the expected different orientation of the fluoro-substituent in a dicis pigment. 相似文献
A qualitative method for the screening of organophosphorus pesticides (OPs) that could present in different types of vegetables has been established and validated. A typical multi-residue extraction procedure of OPs using ethyl acetate and sodium sulphate has been applied. No clean-up was required after extraction, and concentrated extracts were analysed by gas chromatography with pulsed-flame photometric detection (GC-PFPD). Confirmation of compound identities was performed by gas chromatography with mass spectrometric detection (GC-MSD) in the electron impact (EI) mode with full scan acquisition. Retention time locking (RTL) software was used in order to improve the method capability of identification and confirmation. Spiked samples at pesticide concentrations equal to the maximum residue level (MRL) were used to check chromatographic performance and for validation studies. The proposed method allows a rapid and accurate identification of the studied OPs until the ng ml(-1) range for those whose use is forbidden, and above their MRL concentration for the rest. 相似文献
In this paper, an inventory problem where the inventory cycle must be an integer multiple of a known basic period is considered. Furthermore, the demand rate in each basic period is a power time-dependent function. Shortages are allowed but, taking necessities or interests of the customers into account, only a fixed proportion of the demand during the stock-out period is satisfied with the arrival of the next replenishment. The costs related to the management of the inventory system are the ordering cost, the purchasing cost, the holding cost, the backordering cost and the lost sale cost. The problem is to determine the best inventory policy that maximizes the profit per unit time, which is the difference between the income obtained from the sales of the product and the sum of the previous costs. The modeling of the inventory problem leads to an integer nonlinear mathematical programming problem. To solve this problem, a new and efficient algorithm to calculate the optimal inventory cycle and the economic order quantity is proposed. Numerical examples are presented to illustrate how the algorithm works to determine the best inventory policies. A sensitivity analysis of the optimal policy with respect to some parameters of the inventory system is developed. Finally, conclusions and suggestions for future research lines are given.
Silica may dissolve up to about 0.05 wt% in an iron excess NiZnCo spinel matrix, affecting noticeably the magnetic properties at low and high values of the applied field. The initial permeability is reduced by about 50% with the addition of only 0.1 % SiO2, while the coercivity almost triples, without noticeable changes in porosity or grain distribution. The vacancy and Fe2+ content of the sintered material also show a considerable change. The energy associated to the transformation Fe3+ Fe2+ for the samples without SiO2 was found to be 0.41–0.42 eV, while for the samples with SiO2 additions it decreased to 0.26 eV. The changes in magnetic properties are thought to be caused, more than because of the mentioned changes in ion distribution, by the stresses and defects created in the lattice due to the very small size of the Si4+ ion, which substitutes Fe3+ ions in tetrahedral sites. The transition Fe3+ Fe2+ seems to take place exclusively in the octahedral sites. 相似文献
