In the first part of the paper we establish the existence of a boundary trace for positive solutions of the equation ?Δu + g(x, u) = 0 in a smooth domain Ω ? ?N, for a general class of positive nonlinearities. This class includes every space independent, monotone increasing g which satisfies the Keller‐Osserman condition as well as degenerate nonlinearities gα,q of the form gα,q (x, u) = d(x, ?Ω)α |u|q?1 u, with α > ?2 and q > 1. The boundary trace is given by a positive regular Borel measure which may blow up on compact sets. In the second part we concentrate on the family of nonlinearities {gα,q}, determine the critical value of the exponent q (for fixed α > ?2) and discuss (a) positive solutions with an isolated singularity, for subcritical nonlinearities and (b) the boundary value problem for ?Δu + gα,q (x, u) = 0 with boundary data given by a positive regular Borel measure (possibly unbounded). We report recent achievements in adapting industrially used solar cell processes on nanotextured surfaces. Nanostructures were etched into c‐Si surfaces by dry exothermic plasma‐less reaction of F species with Si in atmospheric pressure conditions and then modified using a short post‐etching process. Nanotextured multicrystalline wafers are used to prepare Al‐BSF solar cells using industrially feasible solar cell proc‐ essing steps. In comparison to the reference acidic textured solar cells, the nanostructured cells showed gain in short circuit current (Jsc) of up to 0.8 mA/cm2 and absolute gain in conversion efficiency of up to 0.3%. Following a heart attack, more than a billion cardiac muscle cells (cardiomyocytes) can be killed, leading to heart failure and sudden death. Much research in this area is now focused on the regeneration of heart tissue through differentiation of stem cells, proliferation of existing cardiomyocytes and cardiac progenitor cells, and reprogramming of fibroblasts into cardiomyocytes. Different chemical modalities (i.e. methods or agents), ranging from small molecules and RNA approaches (including both microRNA and anti‐microRNA) to modified peptides and proteins, are showing potential to meet this medical need. In this Review, we outline the recent advances in these areas and describe both the modality and progress, including novel screening strategies to identify hits, and the upcoming challenges and opportunities to develop these hits into pharmaceuticals, at which chemistry plays a key role.  相似文献

We demonstrate 12-ps pulses with up to 0.6-mJ pulse energy at repetition rates of 50 kHz and 100 kHz from a Nd:YVO4 slab amplifier built in a simple four-pass configuration. Excellent noise performance with pulse energy fluctuations below 0.8% rms has been achieved by using 10-μJ seed pulses from a highly stable industrial laser system and moderate gain (30–46) in the slab amplifier.  相似文献

The rare‐earth‐metal? hydride complexes [{(1,7‐Me2TACD)LnH}4] (Ln=La 1 a , Y 1 b ; (1,7‐Me2TACD)H2=1,7‐dimethyl‐1,4,7,10‐tetraazacyclododecane, 1,7‐Me2[12]aneN4) were synthesized by hydrogenolysis of [{(1,7‐Me2TACD)Ln(η3‐C3H5)}2] with 1 bar H2. The tetrameric structures were confirmed by 1H NMR spectroscopy and single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction of compound 1 a . Both complexes catalyze the dehydrogenation of secondary amine? borane Me2NH ? BH3 to afford the cyclic dimer (Me2NBH2)2 and (Me2N)2BH under mild conditions. Whilst the complete conversion of Me2NH ? BH3 was observed within 2 h with lanthanum? hydride 1 a , the yttrium homologue 1 b required 48 h to reach 95 % conversion. Further reactions of compound 1 a with Me2NH ? BH3 in various stoichiometric ratios gave a series of intermediate products, [{(1,7‐Me2TACD)LaH}4](Me2NBH2)2 ( 2 a ), [(1,7‐Me2TACDH)La(Me2NBH3)2] ( 3 a ), [(1,7‐Me2TACD)(Me2NBH2)La(Me2NBH3)] ( 4 a ), and [(1,7‐Me2TACD)(Me2NBH2)2La(Me2NBH3)] ( 5 a ). Complexes 2 a , 3 a , and 5 a were isolated and characterized by multinuclear NMR spectroscopy and single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction studies. These intermediates revealed the activation and coordination modes of “Me2NH ? BH3” fragments that were trapped within the coordination sphere of a rare‐earth‐metal center.  相似文献

In the present study, a whole heat exchanger with a hydraulic diameter of 2.3 mm is tested, which is a minichannel heat exchanger according to the Kandlikar classification. This is a louvered fin and flat tube heat exchanger currently used in car cooling systems, also known as radiator. A glycol-water mixture (60/40 in volume) circulates through the tubes at flows ranging from 100 to 7800 l/h and at a supply temperature of 90 °C. This fluid is cooled with ambient air at a temperature of 20 °C and at frontal air velocities varying between 0.5 and 7 m/s. The thermohydraulic performance of the heat exchanger is compared with the classical correlations given in the literature for the heat transfer and the friction factor calculation. On the glycol-water side the heat exchanger is characterized for Reynolds numbers from 30 to 8000. A first comparison is carried out with the correlations available in the literature with a purely predictive model by obtaining a predictive value with a systematic under prediction lower than 10%. In a second step a semi-empirical model is considered to identify the experimental heat transfer coefficients for this application.  相似文献

We give a hierarchy of semidefinite upper bounds for the maximum size A(n,d) of a binary code of word length n and minimum distance at least d. At any fixed stage in the hierarchy, the bound can be computed (to an arbitrary precision) in time polynomial in n; this is based on a result of de Klerk et al. (Math Program, 2006) about the regular ∗-representation for matrix ∗-algebras. The Delsarte bound for A(n,d) is the first bound in the hierarchy, and the new bound of Schrijver (IEEE Trans. Inform. Theory 51:2859–2866, 2005) is located between the first and second bounds in the hierarchy. While computing the second bound involves a semidefinite program with O(n 7) variables and thus seems out of reach for interesting values of n, Schrijver’s bound can be computed via a semidefinite program of size O(n 3), a result which uses the explicit block-diagonalization of the Terwilliger algebra.
