The isoperimetric ratio of an embedded surface in ${\mathbb{R}^3}$ is defined as the ratio of the area of the surface to power three to the squared enclosed volume. The aim of the present work is to study the minimization of the Willmore energy under fixed isoperimetric ratio when the underlying abstract surface has fixed genus ${g \geqq 0}$ . The corresponding problem in the case of spherical surfaces, that is g = 0, was recently solved by Schygulla (see Schygulla, Arch Ration Mech Anal 203:901–941, 2012) with different methods.  相似文献

We present a method for estimating the net traction and resistive wheel torques for a suspensionless, differential-steered robot on rigid or deformable terrain. The method, based on extended Kalman-Bucy filtering (EKBF), determines time histories of net traction and resistive wheel torques and wheel slips during steady or transient maneuvers. This method assumes good knowledge of the vehicle dynamics and treats the unknown forces and moments due to terrain response as random variables to be estimated. A proprioceptive sensor suite renders a subset of the unknown forces and associated wheel slip and slip angles observable. This methodology decouples semi-empirical terramechanics models from the net effect of the vehicle-terrain interaction, namely the net traction developed by the vehicle on the terrain. By collecting sensor data and processing data off-line, force-slip characteristics are identified irrespective of the underlying terramechanics. These characteristics can in turn support development or validation of terramechanics models for the vehicle-terrain system. For autonomous robots, real-time estimates of force-slip characteristics can provide setpoints for traction and steering control, increasing vehicle performance, speed, and maneuverability. Finally, force-slip estimation is the first step in identifying terrain parameters during normal maneuvering. The methodology is demonstrated through both simulation and physical testing using a 13-kg robot.  相似文献

The selective formal insertion (homologation) of a carbon unit bridging the two trifluoroacetamidoyl chlorides (TFAICs) units is reported. The tactic is levered on a highly chemoselective homologation–metalation–acyl nucleophilic substitution sequence which precisely enables to assemble novel trifluoromethylated β-diketiminates within a single synthetic operation. Unlike previous homologations conducted with LiCH2Cl furnishing aziridines, herein we exploit the unique capability of iodomethyllithium to act contemporaneously as a C1 source (homologating effect) and metalating agent. The mechanistic rationale grounded on experimental evidences supports the hypothesized proposal and, the structural analysis gathers key aspects of this class of valuable ligands in catalysis.  相似文献

This paper deals with the behavior of a parametrically-forced analytically-solvable oscillator in the presence of a delay in the feedback loop. In spite of the delay, it is here shown that, when the system is in the strong relaxation regime, a one-dimensional approximation to the Poincaré (stroboscopic) map may be constructed. The influence of both the delay and the amplitude of the impulses on the dynamics is explained in terms of the geometric properties of either the isochrone portrait or the PTC. Interest has recently grown on this kind of excitation because in real-life feedback systems a delay is always present.  相似文献

In piecewise-smooth dynamical systems, the regions of existence of a periodic orbit are typically parameter sub-spaces confined by border-collision bifurcations of this orbit. We employ low‐temperature single‐molecule spectroscopy combined with pattern recognition techniques for data analysis on a methyl‐substituted ladder‐type poly(para‐phenylene) (MeLPPP) to investigate the electron–phonon coupling to low‐energy vibrational modes as well as the origin of the strong spectral diffusion processes observed for this conjugated polymer. The results indicate weak electron–phonon coupling to low‐frequency vibrations of the surrounding matrix of the chromophores, and that low‐energy intrachain vibrations of the conjugated backbone do not couple to the electronic transitions of MeLPPP at low temperatures. Furthermore, these findings suggest that the main line‐broadening mechanism of the zero‐phonon lines of MeLPPP is fast, unresolved spectral diffusion, which arises from conformational fluctuations of the side groups attached to the MeLPPP backbone as well as of the surrounding host material.  相似文献

An efficient diastereo- and enantioselective Ag-catalyzed method for additions of a commercially available siloxyfuran to alpha-ketoimine esters is disclosed. Catalytic transformations require an inexpensive metal salt (AgOAc) and an air stable chiral ligand that is prepared in three steps from commercially available materials in 42% overall yield. Aryl- as well as heterocyclic substituted ketoimines can be used effectively in the Ag-catalyzed process. Additionally, two examples regarding reactions of alkyl-substituted ketoimines are presented. An electronically modified N-aryl group is introduced that is responsible for high reaction efficiency (>98% conversion, 72-95% yields after purification) as well as diastereo- (up to >98:2 dr) and enantioselectivity (up to 97:3 er or 94% ee). The new N-aryl unit is crucial for conversion of the asymmetric vinylogous Mannich (AVM) products to the unprotected amines in high yields. Spectroscopic and X-ray data are among the physical evidence provided that shed light on the identity of the Ag-based chiral catalysts and some of the mechanistic subtleties of this class of enantioselective C-C bond forming processes.  相似文献

Italian patients with maize anaphylaxis have been shown to have IgE toward two major maize allergens: an alpha-amylase inhibitor and a 9-kDa LTP. A complete study on maize food allergens in patients with positive maize double-blind, placebo-controlled food challenge (DBPCFC) is lacking. The objective was to utilize the three maize protein fractions to identify and characterize the most relevant IgE-binding proteins recognized by the sera of Italian and Swiss patients with either a positive maize-DBPCFC or a history of maize-induced anaphylaxis. Osborne’s protein fractions of maize were extracted to obtain water-soluble, total zein, and total protein fractions. Protein IgE-binding capacity was investigated by SDS-PAGE immunoblotting using the sera from DBPCFC-positive patients and from patients with maize-induced anaphylaxis. Purified maize LTP was used to inhibit the IgE immunoblotting of the three protein fractions. IgE immunoblotting demonstrated that the 9-kDa LTP was recognized by all the Italian patients and by none of the Swiss patients. Other allergens were: 14-kDa α-amylase inhibitor, 30-kDa endochitinases A and -B, 19 kDa zein-β precursor, and 26 kDa zein-α precursor; a newly described allergen, the globulin-2 precursor, identified in the total protein fraction. It is noteworthy that maize LTP and endochitinase were cross-reactive with grape LTP and one grape endochitinase. LTP was found to be the only major allergen in Italian patients with either positive maize challenge or a history of maize-induced anaphylaxis. We have identified other maize allergens in subjects with maize food allergy, as grape cross-reactive endochitinase, however, the clinical significance of these proteins needs to be investigated in larger groups of patients with allergy to these food items.  相似文献
