A novel series of MnIII complexes with 5,10,15,20-tetra(p-tolylporphine) and 1,6-diaminohexane has been synthesized. These complexes have been characterized by UV/Vis, IR, ESI-mass spectra, elemental analysis, conductivity and magnetic susceptibility measurements. These MnIII porphyrins exhibited a blue shift in soret band in comparison to non-metallated porphyrins. The molar conductance values of these complexes show their non-electrolytic nature in ethanol. The tentative structures have also been proposed. All the complexes have good level of water solubility due to which they may have medicinal as well as other valuable biological applications.  相似文献

The thin films of CdS1-xSex were successfully deposited over glass substrates by chemical bath deposition technique. Cadmium acetate, thiourea and sodium selenosulfate were used as source materials for Cd2+, S2? and Se2? ions, while 2-mercaptoethanol was used as capping agent. The various deposition conditions such as precursor concentration, deposition temperature, pH and deposition time were optimized for the deposition of CdS1-xSex thin films of good quality and the films were annealed at 200° and 300 °C. The structural, morphological, chemical and optical properties were examined by various characterization techniques and discussed in detail. The optical band gap of CdS1-xSex thin film samples were estimated and found in the range from 2.11 to 1.79 eV for as-deposited and annealed thin films.  相似文献

The widely different LC-MS response observed for many structurally different compounds limits the use of LC-MS in full scan detection mode for quantitative determination of drugs and metabolites without using reference standard. The recently introduced nanospray ionization (NSI) technique shows comparable MS response for some compounds under non-LC-MS conditions. However, in the presence of numerous endogenous compounds commonly associated with biological samples such as urine, plasma, and bile, LC-MS is required to separate, detect, identify, and measure individual analytes. An LC-NSI-MS system was devised and the MS response obtained in this system for a variety of pharmaceutical drugs and their metabolites. The set-up involves two high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) systems, a chip-based NSI source and a quadrupole-time-of-flight (Q-TOF) mass spectrometer. Herein this is referred to as the response normalized-liquid chromatography NSI-MS (RNLC-NSI-MS) system. One HPLC unit performs the analytical separation, while the other unit adds solvent post-column with an exact reverse of the mobile phase composition such that the final composition entering the NSI source is isocratic throughout the entire HPLC run. The data obtained from four different structural classes of compounds [vicriviroc (VCV), desloratadine (DL), tolbutamide, and cocaine] and their metabolites indicate that by maintaining the solvent composition unchanged across the HPLC run, the influence of the solvent environment on the ionization efficiency is minimized. In comparison to responses obtained from radiochromatograms, responses from conventional LC-ESI-MS overestimated the VCV and DL responses, respectively, by 6- and 20-fold. Although VCV and DL responses obtained using LC-NSI-MS are within 2- to 6-fold from the respective radiochromatographic responses, the response normalization modification results in nearly uniform LC-NSI-MS response for all compounds evaluated.  相似文献

In this paper we have presented the calculation of pair correlation functions in a nematic phase for a model of spherical particles with the long-range anisotropic interaction from the mean spherical approximation (MSA) and the Percus-Yevick (PY) integral equation theories. The results found from the MSA theory have been compared with those found analytically by Holovko and Sokolovska [J. Mol. Liq. 82, 161 (1999)]. A free energy functional which involves both the symmetry conserving and symmetry broken parts of the direct pair correlation function has been used to study the properties of the nematic phase. We have also examined the possibility of constructing a free energy functional with the direct pair correlation function which includes only the principal order parameter of the ordered phase and found that the resulting functional gives results that are in good agreement with the original functional. The isotropic-nematic transition has been located using the grand thermodynamic potential. The PY theory has been found to give a nematic phase with pair correlation function harmonic coefficients having all the desired features. In a nematic phase the harmonic coefficient of the total pair correlation function h(x1,x2) connected with the correlations of the director transverse fluctuations should develop a long-range tail. This feature has been found in both the MSA and PY theories.  相似文献

The structural and electronic properties of berberine and berberrubine have been studied extensively using density functional theory (DFT) employing B3LYP exchange correlation. The geometries of these molecules have been fully optimized at the B3LYP/6-311G** level. The chemical shift of 1H and 13C resonances in NMR spectra of these molecules have been calculated using the gauge invariant atomic model (GIAO) method as implemented in Gaussian 98. One- and two-dimensional HSQC (1H-13C), HMBC (1H-13C) and ROESY (1H-1H) spectra were recorded at 500 MHz for the berberine molecule in D(2)O solution. All proton and carbon resonances were unambiguously assigned, and inter-proton distances obtained from ten observed NOE contacts. A restrained molecular dynamics (RMD) approach was used to get the optimized solution structure of berberine. The structure of berberine and berberrubine molecules was also obtained using the ROESY data available in literature. Comparison of the calculated NMR chemical shifts with the experimental values revealed that DFT methods produce very good results for both proton and carbon chemical shifts. The importance of the basis sets to the calculated NMR parameters is discussed. It has been found that calculated structure and chemical shifts in the gas phase predicted with B3LYP/6-311G** are in very good agreement with the present experimental data and the measured values reported earlier.  相似文献

Swelling was performed on dried membranes, normal ones and dried gel to unravel the role of crosslinking and degradation on polymeric structure during drying and hydration process. The comparison of the swelling results suggested that the network were formed only by PVP molecules. The complex mixture of macromolecules showed a irreversible behavior upon drying and hydration, probably as a function of PEG and/or agar entangling in effective physical crosslink. The best network regularity and useful properties was found at 20–30 kGy.  相似文献

Noncovalent association of Ca2+-loaded calmodulin with a target peptide melittin was studied by electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS). ESI-MS does not reveal any binding of the apocalmodulin to the melittin. Partial loading of calmodulin with calcium leads to weak association with melittin. Upon binding of two calcium ions to the protein, changes in the conformation of calmodulin occur; these changes are sufficient to promote binding of melittin. Saturation of the protein with Ca2+ (a distribution of up to seven calcium ions is detected) induces a large increase of the binding to melittin. The stoichiometry of peptide binding to calmodulin is 1:1.  相似文献

The experimental data for (n, 2n) reaction cross-sections around 14 MeV neutron energy have been collected from the literature and analysed for the isotopes having 1 ≤ Z ≤ 82. The empirical relations for the reaction cross-sections have been obtained, which show fairly good fits with the experimental values. The shell effects have been established at magic nucleon numbers for (n, 2n) reaction cross-sections around 14 MeV neutron energy. The odd-even effects have also been observed as the cross-sections for odd-mass nuclei are higher than their neighbouring even-even nuclei.   相似文献

Cannabis sativa is the most frequently used of all illicit drugs in the USA. Cannabis has been used throughout history for its stems in the production of hemp fiber, seed for oil and food, and buds and leaves as a psychoactive drug. Short tandem repeats (STRs) were chosen as molecular markers owing to their distinct advantages over other genetic methods. STRs are codominant, can be standardized such that reproducibility between laboratories can be easily achieved, have a high discrimination power, and can be multiplexed. In this study, six STR markers previously described for C. sativa were multiplexed into one reaction. The multiplex reaction was able to individualize 98 cannabis samples (14 hemp and 84 marijuana, authenticated as originating from 33 of the 50 states of the USA) and detect 29 alleles averaging 4.8 alleles per loci. The data did not relate the samples from the same state to each other. This is the first study to report a single-reaction sixplex and apply it to the analysis of almost 100 cannabis samples of known geographic origin.
