Ternary derivatives of 1T-TaS2 have been synthesized and the variation in the highly structured diffuse intensity distributions characteristic of such materials carefully monitored to investigate the effect that such substitution has upon the band structures and Fermi surfaces (FSs) of the materials. Removal of d electrons via the replacement of Ta ions with lower valent transition metal ions leads to a systematic increase in the radii of the characteristic structured diffuse intensity distribution. Extended Hückel tight binding calculations of the FSs of the doped samples are carried out and used to predict possible nesting wave-vectors. The results are in reasonably good agreement with the radii of the experimentally observed diffuse intensity distributions.  相似文献

The purpose of this work was to support the long-term experiments for investigation of rock matrix retention properties at the spent nuclear fuel repository site ONKALO, in Olkiluoto, Western Finland. Towards this end, rock samples were characterised in terms of porosity connected to mineralogy, with emphasis on pore sizes, and fillings. Both filled and unfilled pores were found with unfilled pores being majority in the pegmatitic granite veins of the mostly veined gneiss samples. It was found that the fillings were often connected to local alteration and the alteration caused variation in the range of pore sizes.  相似文献

Due to their ability to form stable molecular complexes that have tailor-made properties, terpyridine ligands are of great interest in chemistry and material science. In this regard, we prepared two terpyridine ligands with two different fluorinated phenyl rings on the backbone. The corresponding CoII and FeII complexes were synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray structural analysis, electrochemistry and temperature-dependent SQUID magnetometry. Single crystal X-ray diffraction analyses at 100 K of these complexes revealed Co−N and Fe−N bond lengths that are typical of low spin CoII and FeII centers. The metal centers are coordinated in an octahedral fashion and the fluorinated phenyl rings on the backbone are twisted out of the plane of the terpyridine unit. The complexes were investigated with cyclic voltammetry and UV/Vis-NIR spectroelectrochemistry. All complexes show a reversible oxidation and several reduction processes. Temperature dependent SQUID magnetometry revealed a gradual thermal SCO behavior in two of the complexes, while EPR spectroscopy provided further insights on the electronic structure of the metal complexes, as well as site of reduction.  相似文献

Let $f$ be a real entire function whose set $S(f)$ of singular values is real and bounded. We show that, if $f$ satisfies a certain function-theoretic condition (the “sector condition”), then $f$ has no wandering domains. Our result includes all maps of the form $z\mapsto \lambda \frac{\sinh (z)}{z} + a$ with $\lambda >0$ and $a\in \mathbb{R }$ . We also show the absence of wandering domains for certain non-real entire functions for which $S(f)$ is bounded and $f^n|_{S(f)}\rightarrow \infty $ uniformly. As a special case of our theorem, we give a short, elementary and non-technical proof that the Julia set of the exponential map $f(z)=e^z$ is the entire complex plane. Furthermore, we apply similar methods to extend a result of Bergweiler, concerning Baker domains of entire functions and their relation to the postsingular set, to the case of meromorphic functions.  相似文献

An experimental and numerical investigation of a confined laminar inverse diffusion flame (IDF) with pure oxygen as oxidizer and carbon dioxide diluted methane as fuel with a global stoichiometry of partial oxidation processes (equivalence ratio of 2.5) is presented. The present burner setup allows studying both the flame and the post-flame zone in a simplified geometry considering typical operating conditions as found in large-scale gasifiers. This partial oxidation flame setup is characterized by very high temperatures close to the stoichiometric oxidation zone due to oxy-fuel combustion, whereas lower temperatures and slow endothermic post-flame conversion reactions with long residence times are found in the fuel rich post-flame region. The scope of this paper is to investigate different modeling approaches suitable for both regimes by comparing the simulation results to detailed experimental data. Planar OH laser-induced fluorescence (OH-LIF) was performed for measuring the hydroxyl radical in the reaction zone and the results are compared to CFD calculations. Based on this comparison, the necessary level of detail of diffusion flux modeling, which includes Soret and Dufour effects, is analyzed and established. Finally, steady and unsteady non-premixed flamelet approaches based on a single mixture fraction are used in order to study their applicability for both the oxidation and post-flame zone. Significantly different time scales are obtained using different flamelet paths. Their influence on the results is investigated in the steady flamelet and the Lagrangian flamelet approach.  相似文献

The computational cost of multivariate kernel density estimation can be reduced by prebinning the data. The data are discretized to a grid and a weighted kernel estimator is computed.
