Photocatalytic Synthesis of Oxygenates from Gaseous CO2 and CH4 over Semiconductor

Photoinduced synthesis of CO2 and CH4 was investigated using a batch reaction system on several photoactive materials supported on silicon dioxide. Single semiconductor showed higher selectivity to C1 compounds. The production of C2-C3 oxygenates took place preferentially on composite semiconductor photocatalysts. In particular, it was found that acetone was the primary product over Cu/CdS-TiO2/SiO2.

Electronic and Magnetic Properties of the p-NPNN

In this paper, we study the electronic band structure and the ferromagnetic properties of the organic radicalp-NPNN by employing density-functional theory with generalized gradient approximation (GGA) and local-spin densityapproximation (LSDA). The density of states, the total energy, and the spin magnetic moment are calculated. Thecalculations reveal that the δ-phase of p-NPNN has a stable ferromagnetic ground state. It is found that an unpairedelectron in this compound is localized in a single occupied molecular orbital (SOMO) constituted primarily of π* (NO)orbitals, and the main contribution of the spin magnetic moment comes from the π* (NO) orbitals. By comparison, wefind that the GGA is more suitable to describe free radical systems than LSDA.     

Preparation,thermal properties,and flame retardance of epoxy–silica hybrid resins

A novel epoxy system was developed through the in situ curing of bisphenol A type epoxy and 4,4′‐diaminodiphenylmethane with the sol–gel reaction of a phosphorus‐containing trimethoxysilane (DOPO–GPTMS), which was prepared from the reaction of 9,10‐dihydro‐9‐oxa‐10‐phosphaphenanthrene‐10‐oxide (DOPO) with 3‐glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane (GPTMS). The preparation of DOPO–GPTMS was confirmed with Fourier transform infrared, ¹H and ³¹P NMR, and elemental analysis. The resulting organic–inorganic hybrid epoxy resins exhibited a high glass‐transition temperature (167 °C), good thermal stability over 320 °C, and a high limited oxygen index of 28.5. The synergism of phosphorus and silicon on flame retardance was observed. Moreover, the kinetics of the thermal oxidative degradation of the hybrid epoxy resins were studied. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Polym Sci Part A: Polym Chem 41: 2354–2367, 2003

Synthesis and cell cycle inhibition of the peptide enamide natural products terpeptin and the aspergillamides

Total syntheses of the peptide enamide natural products terpeptin and aspergillamides A and B are reported. An oxidative decarboxylation-elimination protocol is employed to construct the indolic enamide moiety. Unambiguous stereochemical assignment of (−)-terpeptin is accomplished by synthesis of all possible stereochemical analogues. Select compounds have been evaluated in cell cycle inhibitor assays which show that the natural amino acid configuration of terpeptin has the most potent inhibitory activity.     

Three Stilbene Tetramers from the Roots of Caragana sinica

Three stilbene tetramers, carasinols A-C (1-3), along with three known substances, leachianol C, cararosinol A and stenophyllol B, were isolated from the roots of Caragana sinica. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopy. It was found that compounds isolated except for stenophyllol B stimulated the proliferation of cultured osteoblasts.     

35Cr25Ni12奥氏体耐热钢中碳化物的电子显微分析

应用扫描电镜（SEM）和透射电镜（TEM）研究了长期使用前后的35Cr25Ni12奥氏体耐热钢中的碳化物演变行为；该钢固溶时效后的组织由初晶奥氏体及M23C6共晶碳化物组成，奥氏体基体中析出了二次M23C6，二次碳化物总是与基体保持立方－立方取向关系；长期使用（3、5年）后，奥氏体中析出的二次碳化物量明显增加，部分M23C6已转变为M6C，M6C与奥氏体基体以及二次碳化物M23C6保持[001]M6C//[221]A//[221]M23C6孪晶取向关系。     

四羧基锰酞菁作为超氧化物歧化酶和过氧化物酶模拟酶的研究

用核黄素 蛋氨酸光照法和黄嘌呤氧化酶 细胞色素C还原法证实,在1.0×10-6～1.0×10-5mol/L范围内四羧基锰酞菁(TcPcMn)表现出良好的清除超氧阴离子自由基(O—·2)的活性;用黄嘌呤氧化酶 NBT还原法测算出的TcPcMn清除O—·2的二级反应速率常数为7.77×105mol-1·L·s-1,表明TcPcMn作为超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)模拟酶能很好的抑制O—·2的还原性.TcPcMn既能催化H2O2与4 氨基安替比林和酚的显色反应,也能催化邻苯二胺的聚合,表明TcPcMn具有过氧化物酶(POD)活性.用邻苯三酚自氧法得出,TcPcMn将O—·2的氧化性转化成了POD和H2O2的氧化性.因此只要牺牲一定的POD底物,TcPcMn就可以清除掉因歧化O—·2而产生的H2O2,继而能避免因发生Fenton反应而产生氧化性高于O—·2的羟自由基,从而彻底消除O—·2的氧化性,与SOD相比,这是TcPcMn的一个优势.
