Catalysts based on NaY zeolite for oxidative destruction of organic azo dyes in wastewater

Samples of catalysts containing Ag⁺ and Co⁺² cations were prepared on the basis of NaY granulated synthetic zeolite without binders by the ion-exchange method with the subsequent thermal treatment at 350–500°C. It was found that CoNaY samples are most catalytically active in the process of carmoisine oxidation by hydrogen peroxide in a weak alkaline medium (pH 8.5).

The catalytic properties of vanadia–titania catalysts and the reasons for their change in the course of durene oxidation to pyromellitic dianhydride are studied. The catalysts differ in preparation conditions and the composition of the active component film deposited on a nonporous support. The stability of the catalytic properties in the reaction medium of durene oxidation is mainly determined by the properties of titania precursors.     

Synthesis of HNa forms of high-silica faujasites

Synthesis conditions of HNa forms (with the residual content of Na₂O not exceeding 0.2 wt %) of high-silica (SiO₂/Al₂O₃ = 5.6–6.0) faujasites were found.

Synthesis of α-tocopherol analogs with unsaturated side chain and their transformation into the corresponding chromans with ω-functionalized side chain

-Tocopherol analogs with double bond-containing side chains were synthesized by condensation of trimethylhydroquinone with optically active (3R/S,4S)-3,4,8-trimethylnona-1,7-dien-3-ol and linalool in the presence of the zeolite-containing Tseokar-10 aluminosilicate. Ozonolysis of these compounds gave the corresponding chromans with -formyl or (after hydride reduction) -hydroxyl groups in the side chain.
