Total synthesis of (+/-)-alpha- and beta-lycoranes by sequential chemoselective conjugate addition-stereoselective nitro-Michael cyclization of an omega-nitro-alpha,beta,psi,omega-unsaturated ester

[reaction: see text] An omega-nitro-alpha,beta,psi,omega-unsaturated ester underwent a chemoselective conjugate addition of a nitroolefin moiety with aryllithium to produce a psi-aryl-omega-nitro-alpha,beta-unsaturated ester, which was then stereoselectively cyclized by intramolecular nitro-Michael reaction giving a functionalized cyclohexane applicable to the total synthesis of (+/-)-alpha- and beta-lycoranes.     

SmI2-promoted tandem desulfurization and reductive coupling reactions of aromatic lactams with carbonyl compounds

Treatment of sulfur-substituted aromatic lactams with carbonyl compounds in the presence of samarium(II) diiodide was found to undergo novel tandem desulfurization and reductive coupling reactions to generate -hydroxyalkylated lactams in high yield. Stereochemistry of the coupling products was researched and the results that decreasing the steric bulkiness of the N-substituents as well as raising the reaction temperature leads to an increase of the erythro-selectivity were observed. The mechanistic origins of this stereoselectivity are also briefly documented.     

Comparison of standard materials for the establishment of calibration curves in solid sampling graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry. Direct determination of copper in powdered biological samples

Summary The selection of standard materials for the establishment of calibration curves is one of the most important problems in the direct analysis of biological samples by GFAAS. Three kinds of standard materials, NBS tomato leaves, coprecipitates with magnesium oxinate and Ni/DMG/PAN were investigated. It was found that it is possible to use both the NBS-SRM and the synthetic reference material prepared by coprecipitation with magnesium oxinate as standard materials for the direct determination of copper in several biological samples issued from NBS and NIES. However, too low results are obtained when the synthetic reference material prepared by coprecipitation with Ni/DMG/PAN is used. In order to clarify this, the effects of nickel and magnesium were examined and the role of magnesium was discussed.     

Medicinal Flowers. XXXI. Acylated oleanane-type triterpene saponins, Sasanquasaponins I-V, with antiallergic activity from the flower buds of Camellia sasanqua

The methanolic extract and its 1-butanol-soluble fraction from the flower buds of Camellia sasanqua THUNB. were found to show inhibitory activities on the release of β-hexosaminidase from rat basophile leukemia (RBL-2H3) cells. From the 1-butanol-soluble fraction, five new acylated oleanane-type triterpene saponins, sasanquasaponins I-V, were isolated together with a known saponin and their chemical structures were elucidated on the basis of chemical and physicochemical evidence. The principal saponin constituents, sasanquasaponins I-III, with an acyl group at the 22-position of the aglycon part showed the inhibitory effects on the release of β-hexosaminidase and some structure-activity relationships were reported.     

应用胰凝乳蛋白酶消化法比较冬季和夏季鲢鱼肉肌球蛋白的构造特性

以夏季和冬季鲢为研究对象,利用胰凝乳蛋白酶能水解羧基端含芳香族氨基酸残基肽键的特性,根据其特异性酶切部位,结合电泳手段来分析肌球蛋白的内部构造差异性。结果表明,与夏季样品相比,冬季鲢的肌原纤维蛋白经酶切生成的肌球蛋白头部S-1较长,在高温下分子量为165 ku的重酶解肌球蛋白HMM容易被再降解成小片段的135 ku HMM,呈现出冬季肌球蛋白的结构不稳定性。在不同温度下加热夏季和冬季肌球蛋白,其ATPase失活速度和酶解肌球蛋白生成S-1的产生量的减少速度呈现一致性,说明酶解生成的S-1只来源于有活性的肌球蛋白。同时,冬季肌球蛋白热变性温度较夏季肌球蛋白要低6 ℃,表明冬季肌球蛋白的不稳定性。
