This paper proposes a novel computational approach employing a Monte Carlo method, aimed at an improved understanding of the dynamics and energetics of activated ions in sustained off-resonance irradiation collisionally activated dissociation (SORI-CAD) experimental events of Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry (FTICRMS). In SORI-CAD events, internal energies of activated ions are complicatedly associated with their motion undergoing off-resonance excitation (i.e. alternate accelerations and decelerations) and inherently stochastic ion-neutral collisions. Several types of pseudo-random generators were adapted to probability density functions (PDFs) which characterize the ion-neutral collision process. Simulated ion trajectories involve the realistic feature of pressurized SORI-CAD events, such as a collisional damping and those which have not been illustrated in conventional analytical approaches. The proposed method can simulate the time-varying translational and internal energies of activated ions. The present result suggests that the internal energy of a SORI-activated ion should be inversely proportional to the cube of the SORI excitation frequency offset. High-pressure sorption (up to 50 atm) for CO2, N2, and Ar in poly(vinyl benzoate) (PVB) was studied at temperatures from 25 to 70°C by a gravimetric method utilizing an electromicrobalance. The results are described by Henry's law above the glass transition temperature Tg for all gases. The dual-mode sorption model, Henry's law plus a Langmuir isotherm, applies to the sorption isotherms of N2 and Ar in the glassy state, and the dual-mode parameters are given. For CO2, a new type of sorption isotherm is observed below Tg. The isotherm is concave to the pressure axis in the low-pressure region and turns into a straight line with increasing CO2 pressure which can be extrapolated back to the coordinate origin. The linear part of the isotherm is characteristic of the rubbery state, while the nonlinear part stems from glassystate behavior. The “glass transition solubility” of CO2, at which PVB film changes from the glassy to the rubbery state, decrease as the temperature increases. The disappearance of microvoids, that is, the decrease of the Langmuir capacity, may be due to a large plasticizing effect of sorbed CO2. The difference between the N2 and Ar isotherms and the CO2 isotherm is discussed from this standpoint. 相似文献

Recently, measuring the complexity of body movements during sleep has been proven as an objective biomarker of various psychiatric disorders. Although sleep problems are common in children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and might exacerbate ASD symptoms, their objectivity as a biomarker remains to be established. Therefore, details of body movement complexity during sleep as estimated by actigraphy were investigated in typically developing (TD) children and in children with ASD. Several complexity analyses were applied to raw and thresholded data of actigraphy from 17 TD children and 17 children with ASD. Determinism, irregularity and unpredictability, and long-range temporal correlation were examined respectively using the false nearest neighbor (FNN) algorithm, information-theoretic analyses, and detrended fluctuation analysis (DFA). Although the FNN algorithm did not reveal determinism in body movements, surrogate analyses identified the influence of nonlinear processes on the irregularity and long-range temporal correlation of body movements. Additionally, the irregularity and unpredictability of body movements measured by expanded sample entropy were significantly lower in ASD than in TD children up to two hours after sleep onset and at approximately six hours after sleep onset. This difference was found especially for the high-irregularity period. Through this study, we characterized details of the complexity of body movements during sleep and demonstrated the group difference of body movement complexity across TD children and children with ASD. Complexity analyses of body movements during sleep have provided valuable insights into sleep profiles. Body movement complexity might be useful as a biomarker for ASD. 相似文献

We investigate the relaxation dynamics of nonequilibrium carriers in organic conductors κ-(BEDT-TTF)(2)Cu[N(CN)(2)]X (X=Br and Cl) using ultrafast time-resolved optical spectroscopy. The dynamics for both salts show similar temperature dependences, which is well characterized by the carrier relaxation across the pseudogap (PG) of the magnitude Δ(PG) ≈ 16 meV for Br salt and 7.0 meV for Cl salt. On the other hand, only the Br salt shows an abrupt increase of the decay time at low temperature, indicating an additional decay component associated with the superconducting (SC) gap below T(c). The fluence dependent dynamics at low temperature evidences the superposition of the SC component onto the PG component. These results indicate a metallic-insulating phase separation in the Br salt triggered by photoexcited nonequilibrium carriers. 相似文献

We have simulated the time and spatial dependence of local field Bz(t, r) and temperature T(t, r) on the superconducting bulk during pulsed field magnetization (PFM) using the finite element method (FEM). A modified multi-pulse technique with step-wise cooling (MMPSC) was performed to the cryo-cooled bulk, which was experimentally confirmed to the effective PFM technique to enhance the trapped field Bz higher than 5 T. In the simulation, the Bz value at the center of the bulk surface was enhanced at the 2nd stage of the MMPSC method, in which the results of the simulation reproduced the experimental ones. The enhancement of Bz results from the reduction in the temperature because of the already trapped flux in the bulk at the 1st stage of the MMPSC method. 相似文献
