Dosage des impuretes O,N. C dans les materiaux purs par la methode d'activation dans les neutrons rapides et les quanta γ

Résumé Nous décrivons les méthodes de dosage de O, N et C par activation dans les neutrons et les γ. Notre attention principale a été consacrée à écarter l'influence des contaminations de surface et à contr?ler l'efficacité de la séparation des isotopes¹⁵O,¹³N,¹¹C.     

μSR-study of reactivity of substituent ions and point-like defects in quartz monocrystals

SR-method has been used for studying reactions of muonium as an analogue of a light hydrogen isotope with impurity atoms and point-like defects. The relaxation rate of muonium polarization _Mu was measured for 11 samples with different concentrations of impurity atoms and defects. The rate constants of reactions of muonium with Fe, Al, Li, Ba, Cu, Mn, Ti and Pb atoms in quartz were defined.     

Photochemical arene exchange in the naphthalene complex [CpRu(η<Superscript>6</Superscript>-C <Subscript>10</Subscript>H<Subscript>8</Subscript>)]<Superscript>+</Superscript>

The cation [CpRu(η⁶-C₁₀H₈)]⁺ was shown to exchange naphthalene for other arenes under visible-light irradiation to form the complexes [CpRu (η⁶-arene)]⁺ (arene = C₆H₆, 1,4-C₆H₄Me₂, 1,3,5-C₆H₃Me₃, or 1,2,4,5-C ₆H₂Me₄) in 70–95% yields. The reaction rate of exchange decreases in the series arene = 1,4-C₆H₄Me₂ > C₆H₆ > 1,3,5-C₆H₃Me₃ > 1,2,4,5-C ₆H₂Me₄ >> C₆Me₆ and increases with the coordinating ability of the solvent in the order CH₂Cl₂ < THF—CH₂Cl₂ mixture (1: 1) < acetone.     

Stacking reactions of the borole complex Cp*Rh(η5-C4H4BPh) with the dicationic fragments [Cp*M]2+ (M = Rh or Ir)

The reaction of the (borole)rhodium iodide complex [(η-C₄H₄BPh)RhI]₄ with Cp^*Li afforded the sandwich compound Cp^*Rh(η-C₄H₄BPh) (4). The reactions of compound 4 with the solvated complexes [Cp^*M(MeNO₂)₃]²⁺(BF ₄ ⁻ )₂ gave triple-decker cationic complexes with the central borole ligand [Cp^*Rh(η-η⁵:η⁵-C₄H₄BPh)MCp^*]²⁺(BF ₄ ⁻ )₂ (M = Rh (5) or Ir (7)). Transition Metal Ion-binding Properties of a 14-Membered N2O2S2- Macrobicyclic Ligand

The selective liquid–liquid extraction of various transition metal cations from the aqueous phase to the organic phase was carried out using a 14-membered N₂O₂S₂-macrobicycle. Metal picrates such as Pb²⁺, Co²⁺, Zn²⁺, Ni²⁺,Cu²⁺ and Cd²⁺ were used in this extraction studies. It was found that the ligand showed moderate selectivity towards Pb²⁺ only among the other metals. The extraction constant (log K _ex) was determined to be 13.8 for Pb²⁺ complex.     

Structures of cationic metallacarborane complexes [(η-9-Me2S-7,8-C2B9H10)Ni(μ-Cp)Ni(η-9-Me2S-7,8-C2B9H10)]+ and [Cp*Ru(Me2S-C2B9H10)RuCp*]+

The structures of the metallacarborane cations [(-9-Me₂S-7,8-C₂B₉H₁₀)Ni(-Cp)Ni(-9-Me₂S-7,8-C₂B₉H₁₀)]⁺ (2) and [Cp*Ru(Me₂S-C₂B₉H₁₀)RuCp*]⁺ (4b) were established by X-ray diffraction analysis. These results confirmed the triple-decker structure proposed for complex 2 earlier, whereas complex 4b proved to be 13-vertex dimetallacarborane rather than the triple-decker complex, as has been suggested earlier.Published in Russian in Izvestiya Akademii Nauk. Spin polarization dynamics and the Hanle effect for a strong exchange interaction in the exciton

The exciton spin dynamics in a quantum well with a magnetic field applied in its plane is analyzed theoretically. The exchange interaction between the electron and the hole is assumed to be strong. The width of the Hanle effect profile is shown to depend on the hole spin relaxation time. The intensity signal obtained under pulsed exciton generation as a function of time is characterized by two decay times, and the polarization signal, by a third time which is strongly dependent on the applied field.
