The new cationic mononuclear complexes [(η6-arene)Ru(Ph-BIAN)Cl]BF4 [η6-arene = benzene (1), p-cymene (2)], [(η5-C5H5)Ru(Ph-BIAN)PPh3]BF4 (3) and [(η5-C5Me5)M(Ph-BIAN)Cl]BF4 [M = Rh (4), Ir (5)] incorporating 1,2-bis(phenylimino)acenaphthene (Ph-BIAN) are reported. The complexes have been fully characterized by analytical and spectral (IR, NMR, FAB-MS, electronic and emission) studies. The molecular structure of the representative iridium complex [(η5-C5Me5)Ir(Ph-BIAN)Cl]BF4 has been determined crystallographically. Complexes 1–5 effectively catalyze the reduction of terephthaldehyde in the presence of HCOOH/CH3COONa in water under aerobic conditions and, among these complexes the rhodium complex [(η5-C5Me5)Rh(Ph-BIAN)Cl]BF4 (4) displays the most effective catalytic activity. 相似文献

In the traditional system of medicine in Sardinia, Rubia peregrina (RP) is reported as an aphrodisiac herb. Since aphrodisiacs may also have dopaminergic activity, and there can be a reciprocal relationship between dopaminergic and serotonergic functions in the central nervous system, the aim here was to study the effect of the ethanolic extract of the aerial parts of R. peregrina on monoamine-mediated behaviour. The RP (100 and 200?mg?kg(-1) intraperitoneally) significantly inhibited haloperidol (1?mg?kg(-1) i.p.) induced catalepsy in mice (p?0.01, dopamine-mediated response) lithium sulphate induced head twitches in rats (serotonin-mediated response) and was without effect on clonidine-induced hypothermia in rats (noradrenaline-mediated response). The study concludes that R. peregrina improves the dopaminergic function, diminishes the serotonin-mediated function and is devoid of any effect on the noradrenergic function. The study suggests that we should carry out further experiments to investigate the psychopharmacological profile of R. peregrina. 相似文献

The noncovalent interactions between 4′, 6‐diamidino‐2‐phenylindole (DAPI) and sulfobutylether β‐cyclodextrin (SBE7β‐CD) are evaluated by using photochemical measurements and compared with that of native β‐CD. Contrasting recognition behavior and intriguing modulations in the photochemical behavior of DAPI were observed. In particular, a large enhancement in the fluorescence emission and excited‐state lifetime were seen upon binding to SBE7β‐CD, with the SBE7β‐CD inclusion complex being approximately 1000 times stronger than that of β‐CD. The ensuing fluorescence “turn on” was demonstrated to be responsive to chemical stimuli, such as metal ions and adamantylanmine (AD). Upon addition of Ca2+/AD, nearly quantitative dissociation of the complex was established to regenerate the free dye and result in fluorescence “turn off”. The SO3? groups are believed to be critical for the strong and selective binding of the chromophore and the stimuli‐responsive tuning. This is as an important design criterion for the optimization of host–guest properties through supramolecular association, which is relevant for drug‐delivery applications. 相似文献

The synthesis of pharmaceutical cocrystals is a strategy to enhance the performance of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) without affecting their therapeutic efficiency. The 1:1 pharmaceutical cocrystal of the antituberculosis drug pyrazinamide (PZA) and the cocrystal former p‐aminobenzoic acid (p‐ABA), C7H7NO2·C5H5N3O, (1), was synthesized successfully and characterized by relevant solid‐state characterization methods. The cocrystal crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/n containing one molecule of each component. Both molecules associate via intermolecular O—H...O and N—H...O hydrogen bonds [O...O = 2.6102 (15) Å and O—H...O = 168.3 (19)°; N...O = 2.9259 (18) Å and N—H...O = 167.7 (16)°] to generate a dimeric acid–amide synthon. Neighbouring dimers are linked centrosymmetrically through N—H...O interactions [N...O = 3.1201 (18) Å and N—H...O = 136.9 (14)°] to form a tetrameric assembly supplemented by C—H...N interactions [C...N = 3.5277 (19) Å and C—H...N = 147°]. Linking of these tetrameric assemblies through N—H...O [N...O = 3.3026 (19) Å and N—H...O = 143.1 (17)°], N—H...N [N...N = 3.221 (2) Å and N—H...N = 177.9 (17)°] and C—H...O [C...O = 3.5354 (18) Å and C—H...O = 152°] interactions creates the two‐dimensional packing. Recrystallization of the cocrystals from the molten state revealed the formation of 4‐(pyrazine‐2‐carboxamido)benzoic acid, C12H9N3O3, (2), through a transamidation reaction between PZA and p‐ABA. Carboxamide (2) crystallizes in the triclinic space group P with one molecule in the asymmetric unit. Molecules of (2) form a centrosymmetric dimeric homosynthon through an acid–acid O—H...O hydrogen bond [O...O = 2.666 (3) Å and O—H...O = 178 (4)°]. Neighbouring assemblies are connected centrosymmetrically via a C—H...N interaction [C...N = 3.365 (3) Å and C—H...N = 142°] engaging the pyrazine groups to generate a linear chain. Adjacent chains are connected loosely via C—H...O interactions [C...O = 3.212 (3) Å and C—H...O = 149°] to generate a two‐dimensional sheet structure. Specific immune detection of glycated hemoglobin is still a great challenge owing to the small epitopic difference between Hemoglobin (Hb) and HbA1c. We report a new electrochemical immunoassay format for point of care testing of HbA1c. A conducting self‐assembled monolayer of mercaptophenyl boronic acid (MPBA) was used as a capture layer for binding of glycated proteins and ferrocene tagged anti‐HbA1c antibody (FcAb) as a tracer molecule on a gold screen printed electrode. Validation of the new HbA1c assay was carried out using 6 clinical samples with known HPLC values and a correlation coefficient of 98 % was observed. 相似文献

A visual strip has been developed for sensing iron in different aqueous samples like natural water and fruit juices. The sensor has been synthesized by UV-radiation induced graft polymerization of acrylamide monomer in microporous poly(propylene) base. For physical immobilization of iron selective reagent, the in situ polymerization of acrylamide has been carried out in the presence of 1,10-phenanthroline. The loaded strip on interaction with Fe(II) in aqueous solution turned into orange red color and the intensity of the color was found to be directly proportional to the amount of Fe(II) in the aqueous sample. The minimal sensor response with naked eye was found for 50 ng mL−1 of Fe in 15 min of interaction. However, as low as 20 ng mL−1 Fe could be quantified using a spectrophotometer. The detection limit calculated using the 3s/S criteria, where ‘s’ is the standard deviation of the absorbance of blank reagent loaded strip and ‘S’ is the slope of the linear calibration plot, was 1.0 ng mL−1. Proton and hydrogen atom time-of-flight spectra in collision energy range of E(trans) = 9.5-30 eV show that the endoergic charge transfer process in the H+ + CO system is almost an order of magnitude less probable than the elastic scattering [G. Niedner-Schatteburg and J. P. Toennies, Adv. Chem. Phys. LXXXII, 553 (1992)]. Ab initio computations at the multireference configuration interaction level have been performed to obtain the ground- and several low-lying excited electronic state potential energy curves in three different molecular orientations namely, H+ approaching the O-end and the C-end (collinear), and H+ approaching the CO molecule in perpendicular configuration with fixed CO internuclear distance. Nonadiabatic coupling terms between the ground electronic state (H+ + CO) and the three low-lying excited electronic states (H + CO+) have been computed and the corresponding diabatic potentials have been obtained. A time-dependent wavepacket dynamics study is modeled first involving only the ground and the first excited states and then involving the ground and the three lowest excited states at the collision energy of 9.5 eV. The overall charge transfer probability have been found to be approximately 20%-30% which is in qualitative agreement with the experimental findings. 相似文献
