We report the fabrication of transparent rigid or flexible liquid crystal dispersion displays driven by electrodes prepared from coating inert substrates with stable aqueous suspensions of single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) or multiple-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs). The SWNT-coated electrodes exhibit a dense nanotube network with a sheet resistivity ( 25 k) about one decade lower than that of their MWNT counterparts. The electro-optical performance of the SWNT-based devices is at least equivalent to that of an indium tin oxide-based display, whereas those driven by MWNT electrodes operate at slightly higher threshold and saturation voltages. The novel, flexible display devices can be repeatedly bent without any noticeable loss of physical characteristics. PACS 42.79.Kr; 61.46.+w; 81.07.De  相似文献

CanSAS‐IV     
A two-day workshop on beamline integration and data formatting (HDF5/NeXus) of the EIGER detector was held in Baden, Switzerland, January 24–25, 2013. Its aim was to discuss the technical challenges inherent with the next generation of high-frame-rate, high-resolution X-ray imaging detectors, and specifically with the EIGER detector. EIGER is a photon-counting hybrid pixel detector developed at the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) and DECTRIS Ltd. With even higher spatial resolution and frame rates than its predecessor, the PILATUS detector, it will be able to continuously produce up to 3000 images per second. The corresponding extreme data rates generated by this and future detectors present a significant challenge for beamline integration of the detectors, for data handling by the users, and for data processing software. Efficient data flow, storage, and processing must be achieved to handle the huge data sets that will be produced in seconds by these devices.  相似文献

Previous results for 12C16O chemisorbed on a Pt“111” recrystallised ribbon revealed that the infrared absorption band due to the CO stretch appears at low coverages at 2063 cm?1 and shifts to ~2100 cm?1 at saturation coverage at 300 K. The cause of this shift is studied in the present work, by investigating the vibrational spectra from a variety of mixtures of 12C16O and 12C16O. The results show that there is a strong dipole-dipole coupling interaction between adsorbate molecules in the overlayer, and provide conclusive evidence that the 35 cm?1 frequency shift observed with increasing coverage for 12C16O is attributable to coupling.  相似文献

We consider a model for magnetic memory that consists of strongly coupled dipolar or antiferromagnetic (AF) pairs with inequivalent perpendicular anisotropy K1K1 and K2K2. For appropriate parameter values, determined in this work, they have two inequivalent storage states with zero net magnetic moment. Both analytical and numerical calculations are performed, in some cases yielding different results because of relaxation effects (i.e., a dependence on the damping parameter αα). Hysteresis loops for a wide variety of parameter values are obtained, both for the AF case and the dipole case. An Appendix gives analytic results for slightly non-collinear spins in an applied field, which were used to test the numerical results.  相似文献

The energy and time distributions of the decay X-rays of excited, metastable, molecular (dμHe)*-resonances were measured. The comparison of the observed energy spectra with calculated ones suggests that decay from the rotational state J = 1 dominates at the investigated conditions. The muon transfer rates from ground state deuterium to the helium isotopes 3He and 4He at low temperatures were determined from the time distributions of these spectra. Additionally, the temperature dependence of the muon transfer rate was clearly established in deuterium / 4He mixtures. Using both synchrotron and HeII radiation the electronic and geometric structure of Pt{110}-(2×1)p1g1 CO was examined. The shape resonance for the 4σ orbital of CO is found to be peaked at 38 eV, while that for the 5σ orbital is peaked at 28 eV. No shape resonance is observed from the 1π orbital. The ordering is reversed from that of gas phase CO. Further evidence, from the polar intensity variation of the non-bonding 4σ orbital, is presented for the tilted CO structure proposed previously.  相似文献
