A fast pulse polarograph suitable for the measurement of fast homogeneous reactions and of electrode reactions is described in detail. The fast charging of the double layer (<10?5s) is realized either by charge injection or by iR-compensation. The minimum delay time between the charging of the double layer and the measuring of the current is about 7 μs. The applicability of the instrument is demonstrated with the measurement of the dissociation rate of Cd(CN)42?.  相似文献

Six linear oligo‐DTPA‐ester Gd(III) complexes being used for potential MRI contrast agents were synthesized from amino adds and characterized. Their longitudinal relaxation rates were measured. One of them, die phenylalanine derivative, with high relaxivity, was chosen for the acute toxicity and T1,‐weighted imaging test. The results indicated that there was no obvious toxicity for this new oligomeric Gd(III) complex, and it exhibits the highly enhanced MRI signal intensity and the increasing signal duration in the liver tissue compared to Gd‐DTPA.  相似文献

Several medieval paintings and polychrome sculptures have been analysed in the frame of a collaboration between the Fine Arts Museum of Seville and the National Centre of Accelerators, dedicated to a non‐destructive study of artworks that belong to the wide museum’s collection. Among the oldest artworks in the collection is the panel painting Archangel St. Michael attributed to Juan Hispalense, one of the first painters in the 15th‐century Seville known by name. The panel was analysed by a portable X‐ray fluorescence (XRF) to get more information about the pigments applied and to identify possible later interventions. The results showed that the pigments were those commonly used in that period. Lead white was found in the preparation of the painting and in colour layers. For yellow colour, yellow ochre was used, while for the red one, the painter usually mixed red earth and vermillion. Blue pigment is azurite, while the copper‐based green one could not be determined more specifically by XRF. Brown colour is made with yellow ochre and organic black or, in some cases, umbra. Black pigment is probably bone or ivory black. Many decorative parts of the panel are gilded, which were confirmed by Au peaks. Later interventions were carried out on the base of Ti–Zn white mixed with earth pigments, while for green areas such as Archangel's wings also chrome green was applied. The research is part of a larger study which is still going on, whose aim is to gain more knowledge about the 15th‐ and 16th‐century Spanish painting and polychromy. In this study, a Taguchi experimental design methodology was used to determine the importance of process parameters influencing the ultrafiltration (UF) of oil-in-water emulsions. Four parameters including pH (5–11), oil concentration (φ) (0.5–3% (v/v)), temperature (T) (25–45°C) and trans-membrane pressure (TMP) (1–5 bar) were studied at three levels. The highest flux was used as optimization criterion. In order to reduce the number of experiments, a Taguchi method was applied. Analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to determine the most significant parameters affecting the optimization criterion. Filtration experiments were performed in a cross-flow operation at a total recycle condition in a laboratory-scale plant. The ceramic UF membrane with a pore size of 50 nm was employed in a tubular module with an active area of 0,418 m2. We used water-soluble cutting oil mixed with water as a model oil-in-water emulsion. During the experiment, the drop size and zeta potential distributions were evaluated. The optimum conditions for UF providing the highest flux were found at TMP = 5 bar, pH = 7, and φ = 0.5 v/v%. The pH of emulsion had the highest impact on COD retention. The results of this study could be used as a guideline for operating UF systems with ceramic membranes at optimal conditions.  相似文献

The possibility of incorporating a stimuli-responsive microgel into a silica matrix by the sol–gel method was studied. This method allows the preparation of a novel class of functional finishes for textile material modification, which is aimed at the creation of simultaneous stimulus-responsive behaviour and functional protective properties. Using a pad-dry-cure method, a thermo- and pH-responsive microgel (PNCS) based on poly-(N-isopropylacrylamide) (poly-NiPAAm) and chitosan was embedded into a silica matrix on a previously activated polyester (PES) fabric. The matrix was composed of a model sol–gel precursor, vinyltrimethoxysilane (VTMS), in combination with hydrophilic fumed silica nanoparticles (SiO2). Functionalized PES fabric samples were characterised by determining the morphological and chemical properties using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The stimuli (temperature and pH) responsiveness of the functionalized PES fabric was established by measuring its porosity, wicking ability, moisture content, drying rate, water vapour transmission rate and water uptake. In order to assess the washing fastness of the surface modifying systems, the tests were done before and after five consecutive washings. The results showed that sol–gel technology is an appropriate method for the incorporation of PNCS microgel on PES fibre surface. Because of the elasticity of the sol–gel matrix, the VTMS/SiO2 polysiloxane film had no adverse influence on the swelling/deswelling effect of the PNCS microgel, thus retaining and even enhancing its stimulus response.  相似文献

The application of activated carbon (Darco KB) for the acceleration and direction of the transformation of various 2H-pyran-2-ones with N-substituted maleimides toward isoindole derivatives through the reaction sequence cycloaddition/elimination/dehydrogenation is described. In this reaction, the catalyst mainly influences the dehydrogenation step, which is essential to avoid the formation of bicyclo[2.2.2]octenes as the other possible products. We found that the combination of Darco KB, as the metal-free catalyst, and decalin, as the solvent in a closed vessel, represents the most successful conditions. A comparison of the effect of various dehydrogenation catalysts and reaction conditions is also presented. In addition, we have proven that the aromatization occurs via a hydrogen transfer from the cyclohexadiene intermediate to the maleimide derivative (therefore producing succinimides). This transfer is facilitated by the active surface of the heterogeneous carbon-based catalyst.  相似文献

We report measurements of the branching fractions and CP asymmetries for B(±)→ηh(±) (h=K or π) and the observation of the decay B(0)→ηK(0) from the final data sample of 772×10(6) B ?B pairs collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider. The measured branching fractions are B(B(±)→ηK(±))=(2.12±0.23±0.11)×10(-6), B(B(±)→ηπ(±))=(4.07±0.26±0.21)×10(-6), and B(B(0)→ηK(0))=(1.27(-0.29)(+0.33)±0.08)×10(-6), where the last decay is observed for the first time with a significance of 5.4 standard deviations (σ). We also find evidence for CP violation in the charged B modes, A(CP)(B(±)→ηK(±))=-0.38±0.11±0.01 and A(CP)(B(±)→ηπ(±))=-0.19±0.06±0.01 with significances of 3.8 σ and 3.0 σ, respectively. For all measurements, the first and second uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively.  相似文献

The glucoamylase from Aspergillus niger, immobilized into poly(vinylalcohol) hydrogel lens-shaped capsules LentiKats®, was used for simultaneous saccharification and fermentation (SSF) with Zymomonas mobilis in free form. This system was stable in both the repeated batch and continuous mode of SSF. The microorganism was found to adsorb on the capsules with immobilized enzyme. This increased the ethanol productivity of the repeated batch system with 5% w/v of immobilized glucoamylase almost 2.1 times (7.2 g l?1 h?1) compared to free enzyme–free microorganism system (3.5 g l?1 h?1). The continuous SSF with the immobilized glucoamylase (11.5% w/v) tested for 15 days had productivity 10 g l?1 h?1, which is comparable to continuous experiments on semi-defined glucose medium (10 g l?1 h?1). These two systems were stable in both glucoamylase activity and microorganism productivity.  相似文献

The physico-chemical state of trace lead in aqueous nitrate solutions (I=0.01) was studied using equilibrium calculation, free-liquid electrophoresis, dialysis and centrifugation methods and210, 212Pb. It has been found that lead is present exclusively as nonhydrolyzed cations in solutions of pH 2–3.5. Colloidal or larger particulate forms of lead exist in solutions of lower acidity (pH>4). They are of pseudocolloidal nature, i.e. they are formed by adsorption of lead on solid impurities in the studied solutions. The pseudocolloids are negatively charged at pH>5 and reversible at pH 4–7. Reversibility of the adsorption of lead on impurities decreases at pH>7. Experiments have indicated that a significant hydrolysis of bivalent lead takes place already at pH>4. Anionic hydroxo-complexes of lead predominate in alkaline solutions of pH>12.  相似文献
