Low-spin states in doubly-odd184Au have been populated in the +/EC decay of184Hg produced by bombarding184Sm targets with an 185 MeV40Ar beam. Radioactive Hg nuclei were transported by a He jet system. A new level scheme has been established from --t and X--t coincidence measurements. Spin and parity values I=5+, I =2+ and I=3 were assigned to the ground state and the two isomeric states of184Au, respectively. The structure of these states is discussed using B(E1) values.  相似文献

Abstract— Seven Robertson-Berger ultraviolet meters located at National Weather Service stations were subjected to a laboratory analysis of their spectral response functions. The analysis revealed that all spectral response functions were similar in shape in the important erythematogenic wavelength region of 300–330 nm; however, a few of the spectral response function wavelength positions varied slightly. The average of the spectral response functions was compared to Robertson-Berger meter spectral response functions published in the 1970s. and they agreed within experimental error. This finding suggests that the shapes of the spectral response functions did not change or changed only slightly during the meters' long-term exposure in the network. To provide insight into the problems associated with measurement of ultraviolet radiation in the UV-B region (295–320 nm), examples of errors caused by wavelength band shifts and calibration procedures are given.  相似文献

Analytical estimates and computer simulations were undertaken to perceive the motion of negative particles through a lattice structure, the interaction being classical binary scattering. Three distinct modes of particle motion along atomic strings were found depending on the magnitude of the transverse energy and the angular momentum L of the particle with regard to the string axis. At small and large L increased scattering on the strings as compared with random penetration dominates. At medium L and negative transverse energy (bound state particles in the attractive potential) a rosette motion along the string occurs. In this case small impact parameters to the string atoms are avoided and thus an increased penetrability of the negative particles results. The influence of thermal lattice vibrations on these motions was studied.

Experimentally, the negative particle motion modes manifested themselves in the penetration profiles of 20 MeV electrons through an 8 μm MgO single crystal.  相似文献

The focus of study is the nonlinear discrete sine-Gordon equation, where the nonlinearity refers to a nonlinear interaction of neighbouring atoms. The existence of travelling heteroclinic, homoclinic and periodic waves is shown. The asymptotic states are chosen such that the action functional is finite. The deexcitation of states in 188Ir, formed through the 187Re(α, 3n)188Ir reaction, was studied using in-beam and off-beam gamma and electron spectroscopy techniques. A new level scheme, exhibiting a rather high level density, is presented. An interpretation of the structure of these states is attempted using information on one-quasiparticle intrinsic states from neighboring oddproton and odd-neutron nuclei.  相似文献

The ν4 band of silane has been recorded with a resolution of about 0.06 cm−1 in the region from 850 to 950 cm−1. Assignments of all allowed transitions in this range with J′ ≤ 12 have been made on the basis of frequency and relative intensity. Qualitative agreement with theory is good but quantitative agreement begins to break down above J′ = 8. The breakdown is attributed to the effects of the strong Coriolis interaction with nearby ν2.Lines of 29SiH4 and 30SiH4 have been observed in the R branch with constant isotope shifts of −1.334 cm−1 and −2.600 cm−1.  相似文献
