Abstract A rational approach to the development of effective carriers for the through-membrane transport of GMP (guanosine 5′-monophosphate) at neutral pH is described. The approach detailed is a ditopic one predicated on the use of nucleic acid-base ‘nucleobase’ subunits to provide stabilizing hydrogen bonding interactions and the use of expanded porphyrin anion binding subunits to provide phosphate chelation. Appropriate background studies along with the synthesis of a functioning state-of-the-art system are reported. In this basis, up to standard symmetries and antisymmetries, just 5 components of the curvature tensor R are nonzero. For the space of constant curvature, the group O(4) acts as a transformation group between ST bases at T p M and for the so-called 2-stein curvature tensors, the group Sp(1) ? SO(4) acts as a transformation group between ST bases. In the present work, the complete list of Lie subgroups of SO(4) which act as transformation groups between ST bases for certain classes of Einstein curvature tensors is presented. The hydrogenation of oximes and oxime ethers is usually hampered by N? O bond cleavage, hence affording amines rather than hydroxylamines. The boron Lewis acid B(C6F5)3 is found to catalyze the chemoselective hydrogenation of oxime ethers at elevated or even room temperature under 100 bar dihydrogen pressure. Polyurethane cationomer coats were synthesised on the basis of typical diisocyanates, properly selected polyether polyols, HO-tertiary amines and HCOOH as quaternisation reagents. The values of their surface free energy (SFE) parameters were obtained by the van Oss-Good method, with the use of the contact angle values which had been found by the goniometric method. Based on the obtained findings, empirical models were developed which made it possible to anticipate the effects of the raw material types on the SFE values of the produced coats. The possibility was noted to adjust the SFE values within 25–50 mJ/m2 by selecting carefully suitable parent substances. The principal consequences for the formation of improved hydrophobicity coats, applicable inter alia specialised protective coatings, were found to come not only from diisocyanate and polyol types but also from the alkylammonium cation structure which results from the use of different tertiary amines. The fundamental SFE lowering effect was noted when tertiary amines with 0–15 % of the 2,2,3,3-tetrafluoro-1,4-butanediol as a fluorinated chain extender was incorporated into polymer chains. 相似文献

Silicone breast implants are used for breast augmentation and breast reconstruction. The issues of concern associated with such implants are: (a) the quality control of each implant before implantation, and (b) the detection of implant bleeding after implantation. We have studied the use of the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance-MObile Universal Surface Explorer (NMR-MOUSE) for the nondestructive testing of (a) the quality of implant shells, and (b) changes in implant gel due to leakage of body fluid into the implant. Depth profiles measured nondestructively through implant shells at different positions of each implant by the Profile NMR-MOUSE assured good reproducibility of the quality and thickness of different shell layers. The leakage of implants upon rupture was mimicked by observing changes in the transverse NMR relaxation time of the implant gel upon ingress of physiological saline solution and safflower oil through the rupture. Results demonstrate that nondestructive testing with unilateral NMR is a potential method for use in the quality control of implants and for the screening of implants for rupture after implantation. 相似文献

A calibration technique for the constant-temperature hot-wire anemometer is presented, which is based on traversing the probe
through the boundary layer of a flat plate while simultaneously performing fluctuation measurements. The free stream Mach
number was M = 2.54, and the Reynolds number Red, based on wire diameter, ranged from 9 to 23. A comparison of the sensitivity values obtained with the aid of such a calibration
procedure — under the condition of neglecting low temperature loadings (t<0.6) — agrees well with sensitivities determined with free-stream data-The use of a modified transfer function for correcting
the power spectra of flow perturbations revealed a conformity of wide parts of the corrected spectra with the Kolmogorov decay.
The fluctuation levels of total temperature and mass flux were computed for the boundary layer of a flat plate.
