A metal‐free, cationic, reversible addition–fragmentation chain‐transfer (RAFT) polymerization was proposed and realized. A series of thiocarbonylthio compounds were used in the presence of a small amount of triflic acid for isobutyl vinyl ether to give polymers with controlled molecular weight of up to 1×105 and narrow molecular‐weight distributions (Mw/Mn<1.1). This “living” or controlled cationic polymerization is applicable to various electron‐rich monomers including vinyl ethers, p‐methoxystyrene, and even p‐hydroxystyrene that possesses an unprotected phenol group. A transformation from cationic to radical RAFT polymerization enables the synthesis of block copolymers between cationically and radically polymerizable monomers, such as vinyl ether and vinyl acetate or methyl acrylate.  相似文献

In this study, the stereocomplexation between a novel stereospecific cyclic vinyl polymer, that is, cyclic syndiotactic poly(methyl methacrylate) (st‐PMMA), with the complementary linear isotactic (it‐) PMMA was investigated. Surprising new insight into the effects of the topology (i.e., end groups), size, and tacticity of the assembling components on stereocomplex formation was obtained. Characterization of the stereocomplexes revealed that the self‐assembly of cyclic st‐PMMAs and linear it‐PMMAs resulted in the formation of an unprecedented “polypseudorotaxane‐type” supramolecular assembly. This stereocomplex exhibited remarkably different physical properties as compared to the conventional PMMA triple‐helix stereocomplex as a result of the restricted topology imposed by the cyclic st‐PMMA assembling component.  相似文献

The effects of the surface processing of lactose carrier particles on the dry powder inhalation properties of salbutamol sulfate were investigated. Lactose carrier particles were processed using a high-speed elliptical-rotor-type powder mixer (Theta-Composer). In the present study, drug/carrier powder mixtures were prepared, consisting of micronized salbutamol sulfate and coarse lactose carriers with various particle surface conditions prepared by surface processing. These powder mixtures were aerosolized by a Jethaler, and the in vitro inhalation properties of salbutamol sulfate were evaluated with a twin impinger. Compared with those of the powder mixed with unprocessed lactose carriers, the in vitro inhalation properties of the powder mixture prepared using the surface processed lactose carriers were significantly different, showing that the in vitro inhalation properties of salbutamol sulfate were improved. The in vitro inhalation properties increased with the rotor rotation rate. Using this surface processing system would thus be valuable for increasing the inhalation properties of dry powder inhalation with lactose carrier particles.  相似文献

The action cross sections for the formation of the cyclobutane dimer and the (6-4) photoproduct of thymine as well as the absorption cross sections of thymine were determined in the wavelength region between 150 and 290 nm. Thymine films sublimed on glass plates were irradiated by monochromatic photons in a vacuum; the induced photoproducts were quantitatively analyzed by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Under our conditions, two major peaks appeared on the HPLC chromatograms of irradiated samples. The two peaks were identified as being the cis-syn cyclobutane dimer and the (6-4) photoproduct, based on their HPLC retention times, absorption spectra in the effluent, and photochemical reactivity. The fractions of the two photoproducts increased linearly with the fluence at low fluences over the entire wavelength range. Their action cross sections were determined by the slopes of the linear fluence response curve at 10 nm intervals between 150 and 290 nm. The two action spectra showed a similar wavelength dependence and had a maximum at 270 nm as well as two minor peaks at 180 and 220 nm, at which wavelengths the peaks of the absorption spectrum of thymine sublimed on a CaF2 crystal plate appeared. The quantum yields had relatively constant values of around 0.008 for the dimer and 0.013 for the (6-4) photoproduct above 200 nm, decreasing to 0.003 and 0.006, respectively, at 150 nm as the wavelength became shorter.  相似文献

The apparent diffusion coefficients of tris(2,2'-bipyridyl)ruthenium ([Ru(bpy(3))](2+)) are estimated in silica-nanochannels which are assembled inside columnar alumina pores in an anodic alumina membrane, and are modified with alkylsilanes such as trimethylchlorosilane (C1), butyldimethylchlorosilane (C4), and dodecyldimethylchlorosilane (C12). The estimation is performed by observing the lag-time, which is defined as the time required for [Ru(bpy)(3)](2+) to diffuse through alkylsilane-modified silica-nanochannels in the alumina membrane. When ethanol is used as a solvent, the apparent diffusion coefficients of [Ru(bpy)(3)](2+) are estimated as 2.1 x 10(-10) and 3.2 x 10(-10) cm(2) s(-1) in the C1- and C4-modified silica-nanochannels, respectively. These values are about 10(4) times smaller than that obtained in bulk ethanol. Based on the experimental results on the solvent dependency of the lag-time, the hydrogen-bonding interaction between ethanol molecules is considered to be stronger in the C1- and C4-modified silica-nanochannels than in bulk ethanol, and the hydrogen-bonding interaction plays a critical role for the slow diffusivity in those nanochannels. In contrast, the apparent diffusion coefficient in the C12-modified silica-nanochannel is at least two orders of magnitude larger than those in the C1- and C4-modified silica-nanochannels. This relatively fast diffusion is most likely explained by the presence of a long alkyl chain of C12, which reduces a hindrance effect that is originates in the hydrogen-bonding interaction.  相似文献

This work is directed to the stereospecific living radical polymerization of acrylamides such as N,N‐dimethylacrylamide and N‐isopropylacrylamide with an iron complex and a Lewis acid. DMAM was polymerized with [FeCp(CO)2]2 in conjunction with an alkyl iodide [(CH3)2C(CO2Et)I] as an initiator in the presence of Y(OTf)3 in toluene/methanol (1/1) at 60 °C to be converted almost quantitatively to the polymers with controlled molecular weights and high isotacticity (m > 80%), wherein the Fe‐complex generates radical species from a covalent C? I bond of the dormant species and the Lewis acid controls the stereochemistry of the polymerization via coordination with the amide groups of the polymer terminal and the monomer. A series of Lewis acids were also used for the iron(I)‐catalyzed DMAM polymerization, and Yb(OTf)3 and Yb(NTf2)3 proved effective in giving isotactic polymers without deteriorating the molecular weight control similar to Y(OTf)3. Furthermore, a slight enhancement of isospecificity was observed for the iron‐catalyzed system in comparison with the α,α‐Azobisisobutyronitrile‐initiated, when coupled with Y(OTf)3. Stereoblock polymerization of DMAM via a one‐pot reaction was also achieved by just adding the Y(OTf)3 methanol solution in the course of the polymerization to give atactic‐b‐isotactic poly(DMAM). A similar but slightly lower control in the molecular weight and tacticity was achieved in the polymerization of NIPAM with [FeCp(CO)2]2/Y(OTf)3. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A novel method of preparing C-4' oxidized nucleotide, a monomeric model of an alkali labile lesion (1) has been studied. The C-4' selenated 4a and 4b were found to be effective in preparing 3, a monomeric model of 1, by the reaction with NBS (N-bromosuccinimide). The successive reaction of 3 with amine at room temperature afforded the alpha,beta-unsaturated gamma-methylene-gamma-lactam (2) in good yield.  相似文献

A new method for voltammetric determination of the composition of metal complexes has been developed. This method can be used in a manner similar to that of molar ratio except that the voltammetric technique is employed instead of the spectroscopic one. The present technique has been applied to the transition metal complexes with some typical uni-, bi-, ter- and sexidentate ligands, and it was found that the compositions determined by this method were in good agreement with those from the spectroscopic technique.
