Amphiphilic 2,6-pyridylene ethynylene "meta-ethynylpyridine" polymers having chiral oligo(oxyethylene) side chains were developed as hosts for saccharide recognition. The polymers were prepared via a Sonogashira reaction and fractionated by gel permeation chromatography (GPC). They showed circular dichroism (CD) activity due to their higher-order chiral helical structures, and their CD and UV-vis spectra changed depending on not only saccharide recognition but also molecular size, temperature, and metal cation recognition. 相似文献

The effectiveness of the Metropolis algorithm (MA) (constant-temperature simulated annealing) in optimization by the method of search-space smoothing (SSS) (potential smoothing) is studied on two types of random traveling salesman problems. The optimization mechanism of this hybrid approach (MASSS) is investigated by analyzing the exploration dynamics observed in the rugged landscape of the cost function (energy surface). The results show that the MA can be successfully utilized as a local search algorithm in the SSS approach. It is also clarified that the optimization characteristics of these two constituent methods are improved in a mutually beneficial manner in the MASSS run. Specifically, the relaxation dynamics generated by employing the MA work effectively even in a smoothed landscape and more advantage is taken of the guiding function proposed in the idea of SSS; this mechanism operates in an adaptive manner in the de-smoothing process and therefore the MASSS method maintains its optimization function over a wider temperature range than the MA. 相似文献

Chemical state of cadmium in a hepatopancreas of a scallop (Patinopecten yessoensis) was studied by means of synchrotron radiation‐based X‐ray analytical techniques. X‐ray absorption fine structure (XAFS) and X‐ray fluorescence (XRF) imaging were used to identify the chemical state and the distribution of cadmium in the hepatopancreas, respectively. The results of in vivo Cd K‐edge XAFS suggested that the neighboring atoms of the cadmium in the hepatopancreas are of sulfur. Therefore, we propose that cadmium was accumulated by a metalloprotein with sulfur. Micro XRF imaging of thin sections of the hepatopancreas showed that cadmium is distributed on the surface of intestinal epithelia and concentrated in the internal tissue of the hepatopancreas. These results indicated that scallops accumulate cadmium inside the hepatopancreas through the intestinal epithelium. 相似文献

Ring‐opening polymerization of a new 1,4‐anhydro‐disaccharide monomer, 1,4‐anhydro‐2‐O‐benzyl‐3‐O‐(2,3,4,6‐tetra‐O‐benzyl‐β‐D ‐galactopyranosyl)‐α‐D ‐ribopyranose, which was prepared by the glycosylation of 1,4‐anhydro‐2‐O‐benzyl‐α‐D ‐ribopyranose with 2,3,4,6‐tetra‐O‐acetyl‐1‐O‐trichloroacetimidoyl‐α‐D ‐galactopyranose, was performed for the first time with boron trifluoride etherate to give stereoregular branched ribofuranans having high molecular weights of M̄n = 43.0×103 and positive specific rotation of [α]D25 = +25.1 deg·dm–1· g–1·cm3. The repalcement of the benzyl group by a hydroxyl group gave stereoregular 1,5‐α‐D ‐ribofuranans having a β‐D ‐galactopyranose branch in every repeating unit. The copolymerization of the ribo‐disaccharide monomer with 1,4‐anhydro‐2,3‐di‐O‐benzyl‐α‐D ‐ribopyranose was also carried out to afford stereoregular 1,5‐α‐D ‐ribofuranans having randomly distributed galactopyranose branches on the main chain. 相似文献

By using spin‐unrestricted density functional theory methods, the relationship between the diradical character y and the second hyperpolarizability γ (the third‐order nonlinear optical (NLO) properties at the molecular scale) for four‐membered‐ring diradical compounds, that is, cyclobutane‐1,3‐diyl, Niecke‐type diradicals, and Bertrand‐type diradicals, were investigated by focusing on the substitution effects of heavy main‐group elements as well as of donor/acceptor groups on the y and γ values. It has been found that i) γ is enhanced in the intermediate y region for these four‐membered‐ring diradicals, ii) Niecke‐type diradicals with intermediate y values, which are realized by tuning the combination of the main‐group elements involved, exhibit larger γ values than Bertrand‐type diradicals, and iii) the y value and thus γ value can be controlled by modifying the both‐end donor/acceptor substituents attached to carbon atoms in Nicke‐type C2P2 diradicals. These results demonstrate that four‐membered‐ring diradicals involving heavy main‐group elements exhibit high controllability of the y and γ, which indicates the potential applications of four‐membered‐ring diradicals as a building block of highly efficient open‐shell NLO materials. 相似文献

Abstract— The biologically effective dose of solar UV radiation was estimated from the inactivation of UV-sensitive Bacillus subtilis spores. Two types of independent measurements were carried out concurrently at the Aerological Observatory in Tsukuba: one was the direct measurement of colony-forming survival that provided the inactivation dose per minute (ID/min) and the other was the measurement of the spectral irradiance by a Brewer spectrophotometer. To obtain the effective spectrum, the irradiance for each 1 nm wavelength interval from 290 to 400 nm was multiplied with the efficiency for inactivation derived from the inactivation action spectrum of identically prepared spore samples. Integration of the effective spectrum provided the estimate for ID/min. The observed values of ID/min were closely concordant with the calculated values for the data obtained in four afternoons in 1993. The average ratio (±SD) between them was 1.24 (±0.16) for 14 data points showing high inactivation rates (<0.05 ID/min). Considering difficulties in the absolute dosimetry of UV radiation, the concordance was satisfactory and improved credibility of the two types of monitoring systems of biologically effective dose of solar UV radiation. 相似文献

We present a quasi-classical theory of rough surface effects on unconventional BCS pairing states. We reinterpret and generalize
the randomly rippled wall model for rough surfaces such that can describe the surface scattering ranging from the specular
limit to the diffusive limit. We give a formal solution of the quasi-classical Green's function which already satisfies the
boundary condition in a slab geometry. In the diffusive limit, our result correctly recovers the diffusive boundary condition
