We investigate superconducting pair correlations in the attractive Hubbard model on a finite square lattice. Our aim is to understand the pronounced size dependence which they display in the weak and intermediate coupling regimes. These size effects originate from the electronic shell structure of finite systems and severely complicate a reliable extrapolation of numerical simulation data from small systems to the thermodynamic limit. To analyze the size effects in detail, we use the BCS approximation, as well as a particle number conserving modification of it and compare the results with those of quantum Monte Carlo simulations. As an application, we explore the possibility of reducing the shell effects in simulation data by changing the shape of the system and the imposed boundary conditions and by making use of the size dependence of corresponding BCS data.  相似文献

27Al NMR spectra of polycrystalline aluminium borate 9Al2O3 · 2B2O3 have been measured at 104, 130 and 156 MHz. The parameters of the quadrupole interaction and the isotropic chemical shifts have been obtained by fitting the CT/MAS pattern and consideration of the inner satellite transitions m = 3/2 ↔ 1/2 and m = −1/2 ↔ −3/2. The gain in spectral resolution concerned with the observation of the MAS lines of the inner satellites leads to complete separation of the signals of AlO6, AlO5 and AlO4 polyhedra. Also signals of structural groups of one and the same coordination number can be distinguished. Experimental and theoretical lineshape calculations are compared.  相似文献

This paper reports on the grain refinement in dynamic hydrogenation disproportionation desorption and recombination (d-HDDR) processed Nd-rich Nd2Fe14B and stoichiometric Nd2Fe14B powders using high pressure reactive milling (HPRM) followed by a subsequent desorption and recombination. In contrast to the dynamic-HDDR processed anisotropic powder with a grain size of the Nd2Fe14B phase of 300 nm, the new approach yields a further reduction of the Nd2Fe14B1 grain size to less than 70 nm. Nd-rich Nd2Fe14B powder produced by HPRM and subsequent desorption exhibits a coercivity μ0iHc=1.35 T and a remanence of 0.80 T. In the stoichiometric material, the reduction of the Nd-content leads to an increase in remanence to 0.85 T. Additionally, it is demonstrated that highly anisotropic powders can also be obtained by dynamic-HDDR processing of stoichiometric Nd2Fe14B powders.  相似文献

The 12C(γ,pn) and 12C(γ,pp) reactions have been studied using tagged photons of energy Eγ = 150–400 MeV. Recoil momentum distributions are compared to the results of Monte Carlo calculations based on a two-nucleon photon absorption model and two different phase space models. The 12C(γ,pn) data at low missing energy are consistent with absorption on 1p2 and 1s1p nucleon pairs.  相似文献

The submonolayer growth of NaCl bilayer high-rectangular shaped islands on Ag(111) is investigated at around room temperature by using low temperature scanning tunneling microscopy. The growth at the step edges is preferred. Two kinds of islands are observed. They either grow with their non-polar edge at the step edge of Ag(111) or the islands overgrow in a carpet-like mode with the polar direction parallel to the edge. In the latter case, the Ag step is rearranged and considerable, while the NaCl layer is bent. This study clarifies the nature of the interaction of an alkali halide nanostructure with a metal step edge.  相似文献

Selectively excited high-spin states in27Al have been located by the reaction12C(16O,p)27Al. The excitation functions of these states have been measured at incident energiesE cm=18.7 to 30.1 MeV at intervals of 150 keV. They exhibit maxima of presumably non-statistical origin. At four different energies the subsequent decay of the27Al states has been studied by detecting the final heavy recoils with the Munich recoil spectrometer in coincidence with the proton emitted in the first stage of the reaction. Using this new method branching ratios of theγ-, α-, andn-decay have been measured. Based on angular correlation arguments spins up to 27/2? have been determined within the experimental accuracy of 1–2?. The observations suggest a superdeformed shape of27Al at least in some of the states.  相似文献
