Apatite-type silicate supported precious metal catalysts were prepared and investigated for their catalytic activity in selective catalytic NO reduction. Single-phase La9.33Si6O26 and La8.33ASi6O25.5 (A=Ca, Sr, Ba) were obtained by a sol-gel method. Pd/La9.33Si6O26 catalyst exhibited high activity for oxidation of C3H6, comparable to Pd/Al2O3 catalyst, although the specific surface area of La9.33Si6O26 was lower than that of Al2O3. In addition, Pt/La9.33Si6O26 catalyst exhibited higher activity for selective catalytic reduction of NO than Pt/Al2O3 catalyst. Substitution of Ba2+ for La3+ of La9.33Si6O26 led to increased catalytic activity at low temperature.  相似文献

Extended pi-conjugated molecules are interesting materials that have been studied theoretically and experimentally with applications to conducting nanowire, memory, and diode in mind. Chemical understanding of electron transport properties in molecular junctions, in which two electrodes have weak contact with a pi-conjugated molecule, is presented in terms of the orbital concept. The phase and amplitude of the HOMO and LUMO of pi-conjugated molecules determine essential properties of the electron transport in them. The derived rule allows us to predict single molecules' essential transport properties, which significantly depend on the type of connection between a molecule and electrodes. Qualitative predictions based on frontier orbital analysis about the site-dependent electron transport in naphthalene, phenanthrene, and anthracene are compared with density functional theory calculations for the molecular junctions of their dithiolate derivatives, in which two gold electrodes have strong contact with a molecule through two Au-S bonds.  相似文献

Recent studies suggest the dominant role of main-chain H-bond formation in specifying beta-sheet topology. Its essentially sequence-independent nature implies a large degree of freedom in designing beta-sheet-based nanomaterials. Here we show rational design of beta-sheet face inversions by incremental deletions of beta-strands from the single-layer beta-sheet of Borrelia outer surface protein A. We show that a beta-sheet structure can be maintained when a large number of native contacts are removed and that one can design large-scale conformational transitions of a beta-sheet such as face inversion by exploiting the promiscuity of strand-strand interactions. High-resolution X-ray crystal structures confirmed the success of the design and supported the importance of main-chain H-bonds in determining beta-sheet topology. This work suggests a simple but effective strategy for designing and controlling nanomaterials based on beta-rich peptide self-assemblies.  相似文献

A new homostilbene, named scillabene A (2), and two new homoisoflavones, named scillavones A (3) and B (4), were isolated from the bulbs of Scilla scilloides DRUCE (Liliaceae) along with 13 known compounds comprising a homostilbene, seven homoisoflavones, a xanthone, a lignan, and three nortriterpenes. The structures of 2-4 were characterized as 3,5,4'-trihydroxy-3'-methoxy-4-methyl-trans-stilbene, (3R)-5,7,2'-trihydroxy-3',4'-dimethoxyspiro{2H-1-benzopyran-7'-bicyclo[4,2,0]octa[1,3,5]-trien}-4-one and (3S)-3-(3,4-dihydroxybenzyl)-5-hydroxy-6,7-dimethoxychroman-4-one, respectively, on the basis of spectroscopic data and X-ray crystallographic analysis.  相似文献

Cobalt‐based compounds, such as cobalt(II) hydroxide, are known to be good catalysts for water oxidation. Herein, we report that such cobalt species can also activate wide‐band‐gap semiconductors towards visible‐light water oxidation. Rutile TiO2 powder, a well‐known wide‐band‐gap semiconductor, was capable of harvesting visible light with wavelengths of up to 850 nm, and thus catalyzed water oxidation to produce molecular oxygen, when decorated with cobalt(II) hydroxide nanoclusters. To the best of our knowledge, this system constitutes the first example that a particulate photocatalytic material that is capable of water oxidation upon excitation by visible light can also operate at such long wavelengths, even when it is based on earth‐abundant elements only.  相似文献

Preparation of molecular nanostructures with polyradical frameworks remains a significant challenge because of the limited synthetic accessibility which is entirely different from that of neutral and ionic ones. Herein we report the quantitative formation of a new M2L4 molecular capsule from metal ions and dihydrophenazine‐based ligands. The capsule has a spherical nanocavity (ca. 1 nm in diameter) enclosed by eight redox‐active, dihydrophenazine panels. Electrochemical oxidation of the capsule leads to the generation of multiple radical cations on the shell framework. Moreover, a stable tetra(radical cation) capsule can be reversibly obtained by chemical as well as electrochemical oxidation.  相似文献

PtII‐ and PdII‐linked M2L4 coordination capsules, providing a confined cavity encircled by polyaromatic frameworks, exhibit anticancer activities superior to cisplatin against two types of leukemic cells (HL‐60 and SKW‐3) and pronounced toxicity against cisplatin‐resistant cells (HL‐60/CDDP). Notably, the cytotoxic selectivities of the PtII and PdII capsules toward cancerous cells are up to 5.3‐fold higher than that of cisplatin, as estimated through the non‐malignant/malignant‐cells toxicity ratio employing normal kidney cells (HEK‐293). In addition, the anticancer activity of the coordination capsules can be easily altered upon encapsulation of organic guest molecules.  相似文献

Proton transport via dynamic molecules is ubiquitous in chemistry and biology. However, its use as a switching mechanism for properties in functional molecular assemblies is far less common. In this study, we demonstrate how an intra‐carboxyl proton shuttle can be generated in a molecular assembly akin to a rack‐and‐pinion cascade via a thermally induced single‐crystal‐to‐single‐crystal phase transition. In a triply interpenetrated supramolecular organic framework (SOF), a 4,4′‐azopyridine (azpy) molecule connects to two biphenyl‐3,3′,5,5′‐tetracarboxylic acid (H4BPTC) molecules to form a functional molecular system with switchable mechanical properties. A temperature change reversibly triggers a molecular movement akin to a rack‐and‐pinion cascade, which mainly involves 1) an intra‐carboxyl proton shuttle coupled with tilting of the azo molecules and azo pedal motion and 2) H4BPTC translation. Moreover, both the molecular motions are collective, and being propagated across the entire framework, leading to a macroscopic crystal expansion and contraction.  相似文献
