We study the effect of the addition of a complex potential λVsep to an arbitrary Schrödinger operator H = H0 + V on the singularities of the S matrix, as a function of λ. Here Vsep is a separable interaction, and λ is a complex coupling parameter. The paths of these singularities are determined to a great extent by certain saddle points in the momentum (or energy) plane. We explain certain critical phenomena recently reported in the literature. Associated with these saddles are branch-type singularities in the complex λ plane, which are dynamical in origin. We consider a general nonlinear time-delay system with state-delays as control variables. The problem of determining optimal values for the state-delays to minimize overall system cost is a non-standard optimal control problem–called an optimal state-delay control problem–that cannot be solved using existing optimal control techniques. We show that this optimal control problem can be formulated as a nonlinear programming problem in which the cost function is an implicit function of the decision variables. We then develop an efficient numerical method for determining the cost function’s gradient. This method, which involves integrating an auxiliary impulsive system backwards in time, can be combined with any standard gradient-based optimization method to solve the optimal state-delay control problem effectively. We conclude the paper by discussing applications of our approach to parameter identification and delayed feedback control.  相似文献

In this paper, a computational study using the moving element method (MEM) is carried out to investigate the dynamic response of a high-speed rail (HSR) traveling at non-uniform speeds. A new and exact formulation for calculating the generalized mass, damping and stiffness matrices of the moving element is proposed. Two wheel–rail contact models are examined. One is linear and the other nonlinear. A parametric study is carried out to understand the effects of various factors on the dynamic amplification factor (DAF) in contact force between the wheel and rail such as the amplitude of acceleration/deceleration of the train, the severity of railhead roughness and the wheel load. Resonance in the vibration response can possibly occur at various stages of the journey of the HSR when the speed of the train matches the resonance speed. As to be expected, the DAF in contact force peaks when resonance occurs. The effects of the severity of railhead roughness and the wheel load on the occurrence of the jumping wheel phenomenon, which occurs when there is a momentary loss of contact between the wheel and track, are investigated.  相似文献

In this review, research papers on CEC are summarized that have been published between May 2005 and May 2007. Application-oriented research is discussed in which CEC is used in biochemical and pharmaceutical studies, in the analysis of food and natural products, and in industrial, environmental, and forensic analysis. Some trends and developments in separation science that may increase the applicability of the separation technique CEC are highlighted: 2-D separation systems and the application of nano- and microfluidic devices in separations.  相似文献
